Inspired by another thread about worst jobs. What are the coolest/sexiest jobs?

OP posts:
Theunreasonableone · 08/01/2019 20:34

I don’t know why but I’ve always thought an architect was quite a sexy job. Maybe it was because of Tom in 500 Days of Summer

BlackPrism · 08/01/2019 20:36

It's got to be fireman.

Polarbearflavour · 08/01/2019 20:36

Pilot.
Military officer.
Investment banker.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 08/01/2019 20:38

My DH has a cleaning company. He's really bloody good at cleaning. That's pretty damn sexy, tbh Wink

Stripybeachbag · 08/01/2019 20:40

I went out with an architect as a student. He was pretentious and vain. Met others who were all a bit too cool for school for me. Maybe that fits the criteria for some people though.

Am with a chef now. That was kind of sexy until i realised it is one of the shittiest jobs in the world and 90% of dh's co-workers have been bonkers in some way.

TheNavigator · 08/01/2019 20:42

Brain surgeon or rocket scientist are pretty cool, I think.

Ijustwanttofeelbeautiful · 08/01/2019 20:42

I don’t think a job can be sexy 🤷‍♀️ Butler in the buff? 😂

Theunreasonableone · 08/01/2019 20:44

Stripey I’m rapidly going off the idea of an architect and I’ve just realised its Daddy Pig’s chosen profession.

Tortycat · 08/01/2019 20:44

definately medics. Intelligent, good earners, hopefully some compassion and free health advice/ lifesavers!

SlowNorris · 08/01/2019 20:44

A scientist, full on lab coat and goggles wearing boffin.

Theunreasonableone · 08/01/2019 20:45

Sorry Stripy not Stripey!

FascinatingCarrot · 08/01/2019 20:46

My dh is a plasterer with rather a nice set of legs and undercarriage area.
Makes me slightly paranoid that he meets a lot of women in his job
possibly wearing wife goggles

umpteennamechanges · 08/01/2019 20:46

Director in a business (weakness for suits and men who are decisive!)

Vet (because they save teeny tiny aminals)

Erm....

I'm out

Jebuschristchocolatebar · 08/01/2019 20:46

I thought daddy pig was an engineer or a quantity surveyor.

Sigh81 · 08/01/2019 20:46

Architect.
Surgeon.

Mayvis · 08/01/2019 20:47

Fighter pilot.

user1473878824 · 08/01/2019 20:47

Professionally rich with a yacht usually off a Greek island will do it for me, I’m a woman of simple tastes.........

But professionally rich and out of the house all day because I’m already finding flaws in this.

AspieT · 08/01/2019 20:48

Man who is decisive, powerful and charming

Cynara · 08/01/2019 20:48

DP is a paramedic. Sexy apart from the shift-related grumpiness!

JudasPrudy · 08/01/2019 20:48

Doctor of any time but surgeon in particular

Dartilla · 08/01/2019 20:50

Mechanic.

ShinyMe · 08/01/2019 20:50

Rock god is nice.

LulusMiniEgg · 08/01/2019 20:50

I’m married to a fireman (I should say Fire Fighter!)

It’s really not that sexy. His ‘proper’ uniform stays at work so all I see are navy polyester trousers, t-shirts & fleeces!

He’s knackered all the time from shift work and moans about the political aspects of it ALL THE TIME!

But saying that when he worked for London (now at Merseyside) he loved it and the bunch of guys & girls he worked with were all lovely. We went to a wedding where they were all in formal dress & it was quite sexy!

Something physical and creative, bonus points if it’s a traditional craft. A carpenter, blacksmith, farrier, or something like that

chipsandgin · 08/01/2019 20:51

A Doctor with Medicins Sans Frontiers, an inspirational teacher in an inner city school, a brilliant Artist, a talented musician, a Fireman... (I personally struggle to see how an Investment Banker would be sexy - I’ve worked with a few & they were mainly shallow, money obsessed, duplicitous dicks...but each to their own I guess!).

For me it’s basically kind, honest, altruistic, clever or talented men doing something they love that makes a difference in the world.
