Worst job / career for a man in your eyes

In your opinion. Not listening to social media or hear say or stereotypes.

If you were to go on a date what would be the one job that would put you off?

I think my husbands would come in the top 3 😩😩😩.

It's not new we have been together 12 years but when I mention it on here no matter what the bloody subject is they use his job as the reason for my post!!!

-Someone with a social media career (insta/youtube)
-Abbatoir worker
-MP/Mayor/any position held in a political setting - even as someone who is an assistant. Nope nope nope.
-Dealer
-Any position in the adult industy (see what i did there )

Oh to add, my BIGGEST pet peeve from about 10 years ago in their hype - mobile phone shop worker!!

I heard they used to recruit staff from hi fi shops

oh and to add, a suspicously large proportion of my single friends dated men who apparently were in the 'Special Forces' (although shhhh they weren't really allowed to tell anyone . seemed like a wonderful way to have a relationship that allowed them to a) not turn up to dates b) not answer calls/messages for days on end c) be secretive about their friends and family d) turn up with mysterious bruises and scrapes

erm. yes of course you are really in the special forces. ahem.

I'd be open to reason but not on gynaecologist/obstretican, air host, blogger or teacher.

I watched an episode of the New Who Wants To Be A Millionaire last week, and there was a contestant who gave his job as "professional poker player". I don't think I'd marry a man who did that.

All I can say is don't be put off by accountants.They are not all boring, they don't all do boring jobs they are all obsessed with spreadsheets though

Accountants were commonly mentioned on that recent thread about people at work having random hookups at Christmas parties though..

As for the thread about them all getting off with one another, we did have a laugh about that! We didn’t know his colleagues are all sex mad!

Things that would have such a big impact on my life that it would turn me into "Wife of" as my primary function. E.g. farmers wife, forces wife. I know examples of both, and they are happy, but it dictates everything they do.

Anything military. Particularly army.

Agree with abotoir worker, clown, fast food worker, cleaner, model, "Instagram influencer", any sort of door-to-door salesman, any sort of nightclub work, gym work, or personal training, or baliff. Some because I think they'd be vain/arrogant/cheating types (I know this is a crazy assumption to make based on jobs), some because my in er snob would be embarrassed to say "this is my husband, he works in McDonalds", and some because I think the jobs are immoral or cruel

Arms dealer, merchant banker, army, vicar. The former two because their work turns my stomach, the latter two because they are wedded to their job and your family will always have to build itself around that

Management consultant.

Anything criminal, obviously.

Lorry driver. All the ones I know including my ex are dodgy fuckers at best, criminals in one way or another at worst.
