I hate potato tops and cropped trousers!

These - ghastly items of clothing look terrible on just about everyone.

I don't think it's about what your arms look like. Why would you want your shoulders sticking out of your clothes? It's kind of 'Look at my shoulders!' er why?

I assumed it was meant to be a sexy peek-a-boo look.

I'm not keen on cold shouldered tops but I tend to hate things that everyone is wearing apart from a Breton. However, I love a swishy culotte with heels for brunch and a 7/8 trouser for casual.

Agreed. But the particular person is my style icon and I emulate her style if I can! I shop at Cos and increasingly love that style too. I do not intend to post real images, I’m afraid. If people choose to disbelieve me, that’s their prerogative. It does not affect the reality.

I didn't think people actually copied other people's style other than in a creepy copy-cat sense. That sort of thing was seriously derided when I was in school. I mean, people would look oddly at you if you had the same bag as your mate.

Not meant as a jibe at all, katekat but don't you have your own sense of style? Your own ideas of what to wear and what looks good on you? I'm sure you look great, I just can't fathom purposely wanting to dress like somebody else. I understand liking an era/time of fashion and wanting to wear those clothes, but not copying an actual person.

I have a lovely pale pink cold shoulder jumper with a jewel encrusted neckline. It is dressy but warm. I don’t think they are all bad. I also have cropped jeans. They look nice in the summer with ballet pumps. I guess I don’t agree really!

Snug fit cropped trousers suit me well. I think the potato top might suit me, too :)

I refer to those who wear cropped trousers as having the 'short trouser virus'. Something designed to squeeze more money out of people who blindly follow the latest fashion.
