pedrapapeletesoura.wordpress.com/2017/09/14/map-starting-guide/

A growing number of MAP (minor attracted people) accounts are forming a network on Twitter. There is a push to normalise and legitimise being sexually attracted to children. The “guide” I have linked is chilling, as are the accounts with MAP tags - they often have AOA in their bio...their “age of attraction”. So AOA 6mnths-4 years is a sexual attraction to children of that age.

Twitter is a huge business, with enormous power - they could, if they chose, take a stand against this.

I have reported this account, so have many others but it is still not banned. What does it take?

For fuck's sake Penguincake. That's difficult to believe.

And yes, *smile^, the I love you, I'm not abusing you shtick is absolute bollocks.

People are too scared to say fuck off that's disgusting. Because they are frightened that they will be denigrated as, what, prudes? Pearl clutchers? Right wing?

It's backbone time.

Some things are fucking disgusting. They are.

And being attracted to children is one of them.

I don't care how difficult it is for the paedophile. My allegiance comes down on one side, and one side only.

I'm not a therapist, I'm a woman and a mother. And you know what? I was a child.

SmileEachDay · 09/01/2019 19:08

This person is pro-consumption of child sexual exploitation.

If people are saying these things ‘out loud’ then god help anyone close to them in real life.

Zofloramummy · 09/01/2019 19:55

What have I just read!! OMG that’s despicable that they are so out in the open and no one is moderating.

joanmcc · 09/01/2019 19:58

Penguin's post turned my stomach, but if you look at it, the username of the account is @username1 and they're saying to send pictures to @username - is someone trying to set up the original user?

Ereshkigal · 09/01/2019 20:06

Who knows. It is definitely a tactic of paedophile "hunters". But obviously there are a lot of paedophiles soliciting nude pictures of children. So no way to know.

Penguincake · 09/01/2019 20:14

Joanmcc Twitter names and @names are always different. I think this bastard is genuine. Either way why won’t Twitter ban them?

joanmcc · 09/01/2019 20:47

@Penguincake I understand that, but the twitter handle of the account is @username1, the name on the account is username, and they're telling people to send it to the twitter handle @username. Might be a sick bastard trying to create plausible deniability though.

Penguincake · 09/01/2019 20:48

@joanmcc I see your point but either way, it does not explain why Twitter won't ban him when a lot of us have mass reported him.

Datun · 09/01/2019 20:59

Dear god.

SmileEachDay · 09/01/2019 21:01

joan

The @username account is someone who has never tweeted or liked anything since they signed up in 2010.

I reckon our charming @username1 just ain’t that bright and got it wrong.

Fair enough, I felt dirty enough just looking at the screenshot, I wasn't going near any account. It does beggar belief that it's still up.

WellThisIsShit · 09/01/2019 22:09

It’s revolting. Not even ‘hiding in plain sight’ but ‘parading in plain sight’ because for some very odd reason, Twitter doesn’t seem that focused on stamping them out at a strategic level.

Why on earth not though????

Ereshkigal · 10/01/2019 01:03

Ain't that a question.

SmileEachDay · 11/01/2019 17:48

This account has gone from 0-800 followers in a week - run by a group of GC women. Worth a follow.

Or you could talk to some of the many MN posters who've had their lives ruined by child sexual abuse.

WellThisIsShit · 12/01/2019 10:07

So I very carefully checked out these err, citations, and I’m sure no one will be surprised to find these ‘papers’, research and ‘scientific’ journal references are not as they seem.

At best these link to letters to editors, or opinion pieces with large warnings on them, which appear to have only been read a few times then been buried in obscurity.

I didn’t look at the other links, as I don’t want them on my browser.

Datun · 12/01/2019 10:15

The use of the word hysteria is a dead giveaway.

More often than not it's used by a male, and a misogynistic male at that. And of course, it's one of those silencing words.

Deeming one's rational and correct concern as 'hysteria' tells you everything you need to know.

Empirical31 has never posted before. It's a bit weird to register only to ask people to read dodgy sites.

Datun · 12/01/2019 10:16

For a free downloadable 91 page book, Google "We Were NOT Abused".

Ugh.

Ereshkigal · 12/01/2019 10:18

I reported.

joanmcc · 12/01/2019 10:24

Fuck that's a disturbing post.
