pedrapapeletesoura.wordpress.com/2017/09/14/map-starting-guide/

A growing number of MAP (minor attracted people) accounts are forming a network on Twitter. There is a push to normalise and legitimise being sexually attracted to children. The “guide” I have linked is chilling, as are the accounts with MAP tags - they often have AOA in their bio...their “age of attraction”. So AOA 6mnths-4 years is a sexual attraction to children of that age.

Twitter is a huge business, with enormous power - they could, if they chose, take a stand against this.

You really are a professional victim Eresh if even a literary quote is literal violence an abusive attack.

Ereshkigal · 08/01/2019 18:07

It was the intention. As Dr Harrop and lots of other TRAs would say.

Ereshkigal · 08/01/2019 18:07

Some nice reversals going on here though Rat Wine

RatRolyPoly · 08/01/2019 18:23

There's something comforting about bringing things full circle Eresh Wine

Ereshkigal · 08/01/2019 18:33

No, I don't think so. You don't get to make up your own ridiculous, ill formed definitions of things which already have a clear meaning and expect that others will also adhere to them.

Anyway. Paedophiles. They're on Twitter and Twitter is in some cases protecting them. There is a movement to normalise them with terms like "MAP". Any comments?

SmileEachDay · 08/01/2019 19:03

Sooooo. Anyone come up with a solution for the Twitter paedophiles?

OP posts:
Datun · 08/01/2019 19:08

Mass reporting seems to be the most effective solution, smile.

Anyone reading, or on this thread, who is also on Twitter, please just mass report. We can set aside our differences over the trans issue for the sake of this, I'm sure.

SmileEachDay · 08/01/2019 19:10

Yeah, I think that’s a good plan.

I wonder if there is enough weight to target advertisers also?

OP posts:
Ereshkigal · 08/01/2019 19:22

I can't believe advertisers would want to be perceived as having a pro-paedophile or paedophile apologists stance, so that might be a good tactic.

Datun · 08/01/2019 19:23

smile I am not personally on Twitter. But surely a screenshot showing the age range that a paedophile fancies sent direct to the advertisers would make somebody fucking wake up?!

SmileEachDay · 08/01/2019 19:45

Look at this - note “the safety of children can only be assured by engaging minor attracted people.

This guy. “Dr” Cantor.

Directly saying that LGBT people should let paedophiles capitalise on their social acceptance.

I don't believe that such a culture exists. I don't know if anyone remembers but the guy who is pictured in a lot of the Twitter screenshots, Todd Nickerson, wrote a now deleted controversial article in Salon magazine. There was actually a thread here in AIBU or Chat. The movement of "Virtuous Paedophiles". A lot of people here were quite taken in with his claims that it's a sexual orientation and he was oppressed like gay people had been. The thing is, that he wasn't abstaining entirely. He was in chat groups with other paedophiles who weren't so "virtuous" IIRC. And he felt he should be commended for not abusing children.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 08/01/2019 19:59

that sound like a threat, smileeachday, that screenshot.

what that cantor bloke is saying is appalling. who is he? is he actually trying to stir poeple up against the currently accepted "queer" unbrella?

Ereshkigal · 08/01/2019 20:03

Yes I think Cantor is approaching it from the "paedophilia is a sexual attraction" side. I think he's gay and he sees it as a freedom of sexuality issue . It's a dangerous ideology. IMO it's much more of a paraphilia.

SmileEachDay · 08/01/2019 20:05

I can’t tweet the Cantor screenshot and I can’t report him because I’m still on the Twitter naughty step 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I have seen a few people saying that it's all a big hoax, that maybe 4chan are involved. Who knows? PIE existed not so long ago.Another thing if anyone is reading, if you ever have said or heard someone saying child porn please stop them and tell them it's child abuse. To call it child porn is the normalisation into our language of something horrific.

NotMeOhNo · 08/01/2019 21:14

I'm only up to page 7 on this thread but am amazed - absolutely amazed at the defenders of trans ideology who absolutely refuse to criticise the publicly known transgender identifying paedophiles and predators.

TalkingintheDark · 08/01/2019 22:24

Me too. It’s extraordinary, isn’t it.

Datun · 08/01/2019 22:33

But criticise the critics.

NettleTea · 09/01/2019 14:58

abstinence has always worked so well in every other context, hasnt it

OhHolyJesus · 09/01/2019 15:15

I've deactivated my Twitter now as this was the last straw. When women quoting the dictionary are transphobic and receive a ban, and/or are blocked for their views (me included) and we have paedos talking about their sexual preference in age of a child we are really reaching the depths.

I'm a supporter of free speech and even listening to what some call hate speech but giving strength in freedom to 'MAPS/NOMAP' makes me so furious. I want no part of it. Twitter can fuck right off.

SmileEachDay · 09/01/2019 17:55

Something I’ve been wondering about is the number of accounts with “MAP” and “against child abuse” in the bio.

This very clearly says that attraction to children =/= abuse. It seems very close to grooming, to me. “I love you, I’m not abusing you”.

OP posts:
Ereshkigal · 09/01/2019 18:19

Yes I think that is a form of Orwellian newspeak for "intergenerational love is great"
