To ask for your favourite MN threads this year?

As we approach the end of the year, what has been your MN highlights? The threads that have made you laugh, cry, or that you remember for some other reason.

I remember a post about being unhappy paying for a meal in a hotel because a mix up with a starter. Another post about PIL asking for money for broken wine glass.

My funny fave:
"Hugh goes there" : the hilarious baby name thread something like "What can I call my baby that Hugh is short for?"

Serious faves:
Secret pregnancy story with a twist and lovely ending.
The Crematorium AMA which iirc lead to the new AMA topic.

This reminds me of one of the funniest/saddest threads I've ever read which was on the bodybuilding.com forum.

Young guy went back for a post lecture coffee with a date whilst suffering from a bad stomach. Mid way through kissing he has to excuse himself and go to the toilet. The problem was that he had an erection and couldn't fit it under the toilet lid and was worried about simultaneously weeing on the floor.

His date ended up walking in on him shitting in the bath and asking him to leave, never speaking to him again after the incident! 😮

I'd have thought it was a troll thread if the poor guy hadn't seemed so traumatised and earnest.

Not funny as such but memorable was the ‘morning drinking’ thread where the OP tried to convince people that it was totally ok to start drinking wine at 10am. It was allegedly written by a woman but the OP slipped up posting from another username which revealed he was a man. It got to 1000 posts and the last one was gold.
