To think moulton brown is waay over rated?

Got some presents of Moulton Brown toiletries as usual from my sister - in spite of my hinting to get something else. Of course it is meant well, so I thanked her. But I don't get the love for this brand. I used the seagrass shower gel today. It is fine, but the smell is a bit meh. Really nothing special.

Some of it's nice, some of it's a bit musty, imo.

Agree about some of it being a bit musty.
I prefer strawberry Body Shop showergel. That has a lovely strong smell. The seagrass smell is just so meh.
But it is so so expensive.

I absolutely love Molton Brown. I don’t like all the fragrances but some of them are gorgeous. The hand creams and body washes are my favourites and I find the scent lasts a long time.

I don’t get the love for it, either.
Just look at the ingredients. Other than the price there’s not much of a difference between MB and Bayliss...

Like bayliss handsoap but its very cheap nice for everyday. I couldn't spend that much money on hand soap. Face cream and food I could break the bank tho

I don't suppose it's any different to Baylis and Harding stuff. Fragranced liquid soap in plastic bottles can only be so fancy, and I don't think it's worth paying loads for.

YANBU. It’s ok, but not worthy of the hype.

I buy it for my mum because she loves it. She buys loads for me and DH for Christmas because she thinks we like it! We use it, but wouldn’t buy it for ourselves.

They’re very nice to you if you go in store though.

Yes definitely a restaurants and shops toilet thing. It’s very over rated.

As mentioned the ingredients are cheap you are paying for the name. It makes a slightly dull Christmas present.

My local uses it, not a posh pub at all. I'm sure its sold at discount for restaurants/stores etc . My treat is body shop Smile

Yes. I had a shower yesterday with a cheap soap that I won in a raffle and today with Moulton Brown showergel. I think I preferred the smell of the cheap soap.

Molton Brown really annoys me because I feel at that price it should be SLS free and its not, so I can't use it.

I was given a set of three bauble shaped bottles of shower gel in a box from MIL. They all smell rather odd.

I think it's over rated and I love luxury type shower gels.

Gave my stash for DP to use and they ended up with severe eczema then into boils and referred to a skin doctor to help resolve issue. I am not forgiven.

YANBU. I don't know why people go so bonkers over it. I don't think there's a scent I actually like. Ditto Bayliss & Harding.

Now I do like some of the L'Occitane stuff. Especially that bar of almond soap with bits in it.

I love it. Black Peppercorn is my favourite, we have the reed diffuser and it smells amazing and lasts months.

I don't use posh shower gels though, prefer Simple or a good old bar of soap.
