Thinking my friend is a goldigger?

She is 23 and has 2 children and she's pregnant with her third. She had her first at 18 by her ex, he has a normal job and earns a basic salary, I think he gives her around £50 a week in child support.

Second childs father is a professional sports player, they had a one night stand on two occasions and she became pregnant. He's very involved in their child's life and have a private arrangement whereby he gives her £320 a week in support. Their child is 2 and recently he was ordered by court to sell one of his rental properties and buy a family home for my friend and his child to live in until she turns 18. He's in the process of completing the sale and my friend will be moving in next year, completely rent free for the next 16 years whilst still getting £320 a week from him as the judge said she should live a similar lifestyle to her father when with her mother.

She's now 4 months pregnant by another sports player, they where together for about 6 months before she got pregnant. It wasn't planned and he wasn't happy about the news, she claims the pill failed. He is only 19 and already excelling in his career. Although he isn't happy he's vowed to play apart in the babies life when she is born. Friend and him have agreed to £200 a week child support when the child's born which will get higher as his salary increases.

So she will be living rent free in the house her second childs father has brought for her to live in, a 4 bedroom home. He knows she is pregnant and doesn't seem to care that 2 children from other men will be living in the home he is providing. She will be recieving £570 a week in child support and she claims child tax credits as she's not working (she doesn't claim any other benefits) she will be rent free too. All her children are dressed in designer clothing and she parades them on instagram and treats them like an accessory, she is proud that she has children fathered by footballers and brags about it.

I'm also not stupid enough to start using insults at your request

Then why hint at them?

Pinkyyy · 22/12/2018 16:47

Fuck off @Grimbles.

“Fuck off”

PortiaCastis · 22/12/2018 16:49

Lets have a guess at the footballers identities and slag them off if they've fathered children with three different women because what's good for the goose is good for the gander surely

Bluelady · 22/12/2018 16:49

How lovely.

Don't know about a gold digger but I could call someone who has 3 kids by 3 different men, all in the space of 5 years to get a bit of money a few things

Fecund?

PortiaCastis · 22/12/2018 16:54

We don't call the fathers names do we and why not

Pinkyyy · 22/12/2018 16:56

We don't call the fathers names do we and why not

Don't worry, I'd call a man the same. I don't discriminate.

Bluelady · 22/12/2018 16:57

We still don't know what you'd call her, though.

The same I'd call the man.

Butchyrestingface · 22/12/2018 17:00

The same I'd call the man.

And what would you call a man?

Ourmaud · 22/12/2018 17:04

You don’t sound like a particularly good friend. Jealous maybe that it looks like she’s getting a free ride whilst you struggle? I expect her life isn’t necessarily as easy as it sounds and she could probably do without the judgment of others.

Frequency · 22/12/2018 17:05

A mum of three who has completed a law degree and is currently setting up her own business as a single parent after having her first at eighteen? I'd call her dedicated and an inspiration to young, single mothers.

I'd call the fathers who didn't want to be fathers yet failed to use a condom naïve at best.

SusieQ5604 · 22/12/2018 17:06

That amount of support is not very much for pro athletes in the US.

C00lio · 22/12/2018 17:11

I'm actually finding this story pretty heartwarming.

Woman has 3 kids with dads who all seem to be involved and supportive parents.

Kids live in a comfortable house with their mum.

No money worries, bullying, abuse or health problems.

I only wish more scenarios on Mumsnet were this positive.

WhenLifeGivesYouLemonsx · 22/12/2018 17:11

Well they should not have went there bareback then.

Butchyrestingface · 22/12/2018 17:13

Well they should not have went there bareback then.

Lets not bring equines into this.

Augusta2012 · 22/12/2018 17:17

Oh yeah, because of course if he was a decent man he would just have found a two bedroom house for the mother and his child and insisted the other two were put into care or kept in a shed in the garden. Hmm

MrsTerryPratcett · 22/12/2018 17:23

Astoundingly the men could have trued to look after these children themselves. Shock But they didn't. So they are essentially paying her to do their parenting for them. Very cheaply actually. Sounds like a good arrangement all around.

Amanduh · 22/12/2018 17:25

She can’t have that much of a lazy lavish lifestyle considering she must have spent at least the last three years doing a law degree with small children....

masterandmargarita · 22/12/2018 17:27

But if you know you're that fecund surely one would use condoms

ilovesooty · 22/12/2018 17:27

I hope your so called friend recognises herself on here and responds to your behaviour as you deserve.

Pinkyyy no need to be so unpleasant if you're going to retreat rather than own what you have to say.

Shitmewithyourrhythmstick · 22/12/2018 17:27

This all definitely adds up.
