By image do you mean the model showing the product you're interested in? Or do you mean the product has only a white girl on it? Little bit confused?

Feefeetrixabelle · 19/12/2018 15:12

Kind of being unreasonable I’m afraid. But I get your anger. Zazzle is a platform for independent designers so zazzle don’t commission the products designers put up what they’ve designed. It’s kind of bullshit that there isn’t options for you though. Try messaging the designer they may be able to put something together for you.

CaroloftheBalls · 19/12/2018 15:12
Confused
Oilybeans · 19/12/2018 15:13

It is not a company. It is a marketplace like Etsy.

It is a single person uploading their own designs.

ScrantonTheElectricCity · 19/12/2018 15:14

Sorry for confusion. You can personalize an image - background colour, name it, clothes- but the only actual choice is a white girl. You can't personalise the girls skin tone

Oratorio · 19/12/2018 15:14

Zazzle only provide the base product, not the designs. Anyone can create and upload their own designs to sell, printed on the supplied base product. So they’re right in saying it’s this particular designer who has chosen to use only white girls, not Zazzle as a business. Have you messaged the designer?

Worriee · 19/12/2018 15:14

But it’s a bag ? I don’t understand
Can you not imagine it in the person you want to get it for ?? Whether it’s modelled by a black white or Asian girl or just a picture of a bag why does that matter ?

Worriee · 19/12/2018 15:15

Or is there a picture of a girl on the bag ??

holidayhope · 19/12/2018 15:15

You want something that has an image of a black girl on, but the shop only sells one of a white girl?

They've told you that maybe you can contact the designer and they might be able to organise one with an image of a black girl. But the designer has only provided the image which they have which is of a white girl?

I think the shop is not being unreasonable itself as they're trying to provide a way of you getting the product you want

But it's very unreasonable that in general black children are far less represented in shops that designers only bother uploading the white image in the first place

YABVU

Worriee · 19/12/2018 15:16

Oh I saw your update OP sorry
Can you dm the maker of the bag via the selling site ?

Foamybanana93 · 19/12/2018 15:17

wow, just wow is all i have to say get a grip Hmm

ScrantonTheElectricCity · 19/12/2018 15:18

It matters because I didn't want to upload a picture of the little girl to have on her bag, just wanted a generic picture. If it was a ballet bag then you get lots of options, but this is a football one so no real choice. Apart from contacting on twitter

OP posts:
holidayhope · 19/12/2018 15:19

That's the designer though not zazzle who's made that happen

geekone · 19/12/2018 15:20

@Worriee it’s not modelled I assume it is a cartoon or picture where you can say green football top pink shorts and orange socks with brown hair but sorry only white skin.

I don’t think you are being unreasonable but I think you are directing it at the wrong point. It should be the designer as it is he/she who has not allowed this to be an option.

HeadsDownThumbsUpEveryone · 19/12/2018 15:26

Like others have said its the product that the designer has uploaded so it's not Zazzle's fault there is no option for you to choose an image of a black child.

I am sure you could find another site that personalised bags with a cartoon image so I am not sure why you are so annoyed?

CoughLaughFart · 19/12/2018 15:26

I’m not sure I understand what the product is. Is it a bag with a pic of a generic girl on, but with some aspects you can customise? (Personalise probably isn’t the right word here.)

I don’t think you’re unreasonable for wanting the option, but it’s unreasonable to be annoyed at their suggestion you contact the designer. The product you want isn’t currently available. They’re suggesting a way you may be able to get it. As far as I can see they’re trying to help.

AGHHHH · 19/12/2018 15:32

You're being ridiculous.

Regnamechanger · 19/12/2018 15:35

I don't think you understand how Zazzle works. I have some designs on there, it's just a marketplace for what I have produced. I just upload to my account when I want to put something new on. So they are right to suggest that you contact the designer. They don't control the availability of images of people of a particular skin tone sold through their service.

AdamNichol · 19/12/2018 15:37

You're moaning at tescos because you don't like what heinz put on their bean tins. You may be right, but you're talking to the wrong people.

TheIncredibleBookEatingManchot · 19/12/2018 15:38

@AGHHH Why is it ridiculous that op wants to buy a personalised bag with a picture of a black girl on it to give to a black girl?

MakeAHouseAHome · 19/12/2018 15:39

Jesus get a grip!

TheIncredibleBookEatingManchot · 19/12/2018 15:42

Why the hell are people telling the op to get a grip and that she's being ridiculous??
