To ask what we have to look forward to after March 29th 2019

It turns out Theresa May’s definition of ‘soverignity and democracy’ is to postpone a democratic vote, not allow anyone except her to change their mind and generally run to clock down until her deal is the only option.

So what do people think about that?

What are the benefits we have to look forward to when we leave the EU given it turns out ‘they don’t actually need is more than we need them’ after all?

What are we doing this for?

(And for those who want to ignore Brexit, don’t read this thread. Equally, this is the biggest thing this country has ever faced in most of our generation so please don’t banish this to the Brexit section)

Mine too Fenella!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 18/12/2018 20:58

And me fenella

TheABC · 18/12/2018 21:00

The total implosion of the Tory party. I voted Remain and I am seriously wondering if I should stay in Britain. My only comfort is that this debacle will make the Conservative brand toxic for the next 20 years.

Bearbehind · 18/12/2018 21:01

you have started another thread trying to spread hatred towards 17 million

No walking, I’ve started ‘another thread’ looking for the upsides to Brexit.

sadly there’s still no answers.

OP posts:
Walkingdeadfangirl · 18/12/2018 21:07

Bearbehind In none of the threads you go on are you interested in the upsides of Brexit. You just slag people off and tell them they are stupid.

ChristmasTwatteryDoesMyHeadIn · 18/12/2018 21:08

Walkingdeadfangirl I’ve asked genuine questions, and been largely ignored.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 18/12/2018 21:09

Ive not seen any upsides

The only upsides people seem to mention is stuff we already had...but they didnt know we had

CaptainBrickbeard · 18/12/2018 21:10

So, Leavers can confidently promise that the sun will rise again after Brexit. Thanks a fucking bunch!

Littlebelina · 18/12/2018 21:12

Blue passports.....

I'll get my coat Grin

Birdsgottafly · 18/12/2018 21:13

Walkingdeadfangirl, ignore the OP.

I'd like to know the benefits, if you don't mind.

Because things are shit, here in Liverpool and we stand for it to get a whole lot worse, with the loss of major employers.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 18/12/2018 21:15

ChristmasTwattery The same questions have been asked and answered dozens of times over the past 2 years. Leavers gave up trying to respond because all they get is abuse.

There is no answer that will make a remainer happy because they don't want to leave the EU. So until your a bit more open minded then you are just joining the MN echo chamber of hurling abuse at 52% of voters.

Bearbehind · 18/12/2018 21:16

walking, it’s getting beyond stupid that people are going to such lengths to detract from the questions.

If Brexit is so desirable, why can’t you name a single benefit?

OP posts:
ChristmasTwatteryDoesMyHeadIn · 18/12/2018 21:19

Walking I’ve not been here 2 years, and I haven’t hurled insults.

So instead of patronising and assuming, would you like to answer? Or just dig your heels in and refuse to answer like everyone else? While actually being quite insulting yourself. No, probably not.

Jesus wept this place hasn’t got any better since I left, it’s got worse.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 18/12/2018 21:19

There is no answer that will make a remainer happy because they don't want to leave the EU

Well thats not a very open minded thing to say

ChristmasTwatteryDoesMyHeadIn · 18/12/2018 21:19

Actually they haven’t been answered, not at all. Not one single answer that isn’t a line taken from propaganda.

Actual reasons might be a start. Beyond “but immigrants” and blue passports.

ChristmasTwatteryDoesMyHeadIn · 18/12/2018 21:20

Also, I don’t want answers to make me happy, I want answers because I’m curious.

Nobody has provided them. While adamantly stating they are right. And we’re all stupid.

Russiawithlove · 18/12/2018 21:21

It's because you are grilling people. Your tone is very authoritative Bear

I also think people are just getting worn down with it all now. Don't demand answers...ask for them.

ChristmasTwatteryDoesMyHeadIn · 18/12/2018 21:21

Don't demand answers...ask for them.

I did, several times. I was either ignored or insulted.

Deadbudgie · 18/12/2018 21:24

My birthday

Bearbehind · 18/12/2018 21:25

It doesn’t matter how nicely I or anyone else asks russia

Ask nicely, you are patronising. Ask directly, you are aggressive.

It’s part of the deflection tactic.

There’s no answers.

Surely, in their heart of hearts, Leavers have to question themselves at some point?

Surely they have to concede they don’t have a single tangible example to back up the soundbites?

OP posts:
DontCallMeCharlotte · 18/12/2018 21:27

The return of duty free from European holidays?

If you haven’t heard about the link between the Leave vote winning and Russian involvement you might want to google it.

I have.

And Prince Philip killed Princess Di. Cop on to yourself.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 18/12/2018 21:27

And I voted remain.

Russiawithlove · 18/12/2018 21:40

But this is why you need to post in the Brexit section.
People who want to talk about Brexit all day and night.

AIBU is good for traffic but people on here are complaining because they are sick of talking about it and getting abuse.

It does make sense surely.

seventhgonickname · 18/12/2018 21:47

We have hotter summers and a total colapse of the world as we know it.And you're worried about Brexit!

Walkingdeadfangirl · 18/12/2018 21:47

If Brexit is so desirable, why can’t you name a single benefit?

Been there done that, not interested in being a pinata for remainers. If you dont know by now why millions of people want out of the EU then nothing I can repeat will change your mind.

If you genuinely are open minded (after years of this debate I dont think many people are) then trying reading some pro Brexit websites, not hard to find.
