My DP showers everyday, I aim to shower/bath everyday but being a pregnant, working mum of two I skip the odd day through bloody exhaustion..
I was inspired by another thread about how often people wash there hair and it got me thinking..
So how often do u wash?..

Shower every morning. Occasional bath when I feel like pampering myself.

I was thinking that if we did it now in our house, one rugby-playing DC would have to go last, Geek, otherwise we'd all be dirtier when we got out than when we got in!

I have clutched my pearls in my ghastly sweaty palms so hard reading this thread. Time for another shower!

I'm wondering how many of those saying they bath or shower at least once a day, if not more, and who are aghast that other people might leave a day between showers, are also on the thread about climate change and global warming, wringing their hands and worrying about how we have, according to some estimates, just 12 years before we reach the point of no return and the planet's temperature rises to such an extent that life as we know it will end? The apocalypse is on the way, you say? Well, never mind. At least you're clean.Hmm

Um, I shower daily (3-4 minutes per shower, generally). But I very rarely heat the house and only do one load of laundry most weeks, so that probably more than balances out my daily shower.

Also childfree.

I’d love to shower less but my scalp won’t have it. Breakouts and itching and soreness galore! And washing less doesn’t result in less oil production because there’s no way for your skin to sense surface oil level, despite the crap online. Those who ‘adapt’ just have coarser hair and/or not as oily a scalp as people like me (tons of fine straight hair with very oily skin).

So I’ll be sticking with my daily shower. Smile

Freezing cold shower every day.

flep · 05/12/2018 01:14

@doublethink I love those in the summer. Can’t handle them in the winter though—they give me a headache?!

doublethink · 12/12/2018 00:43

Flep, I'm only in there for a couple of minutes before I have to get out! If I need to wash my hair I have it warm and then finish off with it freezing again. I read about cold showers being good for depression /stress...it's become my drug Grin

Depends on my health. When I’m well then once or twice a day (normally shower in the morning and bath at night), when I’m not brilliant once every 2-3 days, and it’s a struggle. When my physical health is very bad and I’m bed bound, it can be over a week and I need help washing with a flannel.
