How often do u shower/bath

Bigonesmallone3 · 03/12/2018 14:49

My DP showers everyday, I aim to shower/bath everyday but being a pregnant, working mum of two I skip the odd day through bloody exhaustion..
I was inspired by another thread about how often people wash there hair and it got me thinking..
So how often do u wash?..

I wash twice a day. I shower 2/3 times a week when I wash my hair. Maybe a bath once a week for the fun of it.

YesitsJacqueline · 03/12/2018 18:27

I shower every single day, I'm s single parent and work full time so most mornings I have a really quick shower but it does the job. At weekends if I get a chance I will have a bath / shave legs/ etc .
I try to go as long as possible without washing my hair, its very long and thick and takes ages to wash and dry. Luckily it never looks greasy!

Milliy · 03/12/2018 18:29

Every day, always have and would feel dirty if I couldnt. Grew up in a hot country so it was normal to shower every day.

ShatnersBassoon · 03/12/2018 18:29

Before every smear test, without fail.

GimmeGimmeHellYeah · 03/12/2018 18:32

Before every smear test, without fail.

Bugger that, isn't that what dry shampoo is for?

puzzledlady · 03/12/2018 18:32

Wash hair - once or sometimes twice a week. Shower - almost every day. I dont take baths.

angelikacpickles · 03/12/2018 18:32

Shower every day, wash hair every second day.

Every night.

DragonMamma · 03/12/2018 18:34

Every morning. Without fail. If I’m not washing my hair it literally takes a couple of minutes. I was my hair every other day so have to allow an extra 15 mins to dry and straighten it.

I am a soap convert recently too - feel loads fresher and my deodorant lasts longer.

WipsGlitter · 03/12/2018 18:36

Shower and wash hair every day.
Bath if i fancy it in the evening.

My mum had a flannel wash (also known as a whores bath apparently!) every morning. I always found it revolting.

Natsku · 03/12/2018 18:40

2 or 3 times a week. I'm home all day so I can't be arsed to shower more often, especially in winter as it dries out my skin.

xJessica · 03/12/2018 18:42

Either a bath in the evening and then a shower with a hair wash the following morning or a shower with a hair wash at night and a quick shower without a hair wash the following morning. So I have something every morning and evening, just depends on time and my mood! I love to feel fresh and clean for getting into bed and again for starting the day.

TheBubGrower · 03/12/2018 18:43

Every morning, hair washed too. I don't feel clean if I don't and it wakes me up. When i had a newborn somedays i wouldn't get chance though so would use dry shampoo / wet wipes but felt gross by the end of the day and like i needed a good scrub! But I don't judge others who don't feel the need to shower daily. I'd say going more than every other day as a grown adult can be a bit minging though and I can often tell if someone has just 'got up and gone'without showering. Dirty hair smells gross. I can't believe some people don't seem to realise that they smell a bit dirty, even if not sweaty as such. I don't get the sink wash thing, sounds like it would be a messy faff, don't you get water all over the floor? Why not just have a quick shower/ bath? Can't see why a sink wash would be much quicker.

My 2yo gets bathed 2-3 times a week, unless he's mucky and needs one sooner. He doesn't smell and his hair never looks dirty. Kids don't sweat as much so i don't think daily baths are necessary. I think they need a proper wash with soap though when they are bathed, my sister used to just use water as she believed soap wasn't necessary for kids and they did sometimes smell a bit musty

FuckBrussel · 03/12/2018 18:44

Depends.

If I'm going somewhere then I'll shower.

If I'm just knocking around the house, gardening, dogwalking etc, I tend not to bother.

Probably works out at about 4 times a week.

Hair gets washed about twice a week.

MrsPerfect12 · 03/12/2018 18:48

Yes I’m with you thebubgrower, I totally smell that dirty smell on other people!

I shower everyday or twice depending on excersise. A shower is much quicker than a strip wash imo.
Wash my hair most days or alternate days as long and thick.

Zoflorabore · 03/12/2018 18:48

Every single morning I have a shower, I'm a SAHM now but was the same when I worked. I couldn't go out without a shower.
Hair washed every morning too.

My ds is 15 and he's spotless, shower every morning before school and after gym/football.

My dd is 7 and has a bath or shower depending on what she wants, every night before bed.

I've always done this from birth, both dc slept from the day they were born and i do think a good routine helped.

I'm 40 and was bathed every night as a child but am aware that it wasn't the norm.

I do have OCD which centres around cleaning and hygiene so know I'm a bit neurotic over things. Saying that, i would rather be like this than dirty.

I do think it's yucky to only bath children once a week, it seems lazy to me.

naicepineapple · 03/12/2018 18:51

I shower everyday, occasionally bath at night too. Wash my hair 4 times a week.

Op if you're feeling overly cold then it might be worth getting your iron levels checked.

naicepineapple · 03/12/2018 18:53

And yes to proper soap instead of shower gel. Feel much cleaner using it and still smell fresh at the end of the day.

InglouriousBasterd · 03/12/2018 18:54

Every evening shower and a quick wash in the morning - I work from home so don’t need to put in much of an effort Grin

If hot or feel like it quick morning shower too.

Hair washed a couple of times a week (thick and curly)

Eifla · 03/12/2018 19:02

Shower morning & evening. Sometimes I’ll have a bath in the evenings instead.

OneTwistedAngel · 03/12/2018 19:07

I shower and wash every day. I'm a creature of habit and it's part of my morning routine.

OneTwistedAngel · 03/12/2018 19:07

*wash my hair

SpeckledyHen · 03/12/2018 19:12

Shower and wash hair every morning and again in the evening if I’m going out . I couldn’t start the day without being fresh and clean .

Choccywoccyhooha · 03/12/2018 19:13

Shower every morning. Hair wash 3 times a week.
