Watched it for the first time today. It's by no means a bad film, it's quite good..... but not worth the hype if I'm honest!

It's due to the dearth of family entertainment films that aren't superhero based imo.

It has a lot of faults but it was a pleasure to watch with my kids.

I loved The Greatest Showman, but I wasn't impressed with La La Land.

Lala land was so dire I only watched the first couple of songs before bailing.
I like nearly all musicals but something passed me by on that one.

Helen Mirren. Big nose, piggy eyes, cheap tattoo, thick ankles but everyone seems to think she's amazingly attractive / the bees knees.

Lala Land was mediocre at best. It was just one of those films made for the oscars that got a bunch of buzz from within the hollywood echo-chamber, making joe public think it was something amazing, which it obviously was not.

And Stacy Dooly's TV career started as one of a bunch of kids, on the premise of being spolt, went to experience working conditions in India.
