Elf on the shelf - basically a little elf doll that comes to stay for the duration of December and gets up to "mischief." Cue posts of kids coming downstairs to said elf who's caused havoc overnight, say been unrolling bog roll, making snow angels in talc etc..... freaky little things though lol.
