David Beckham. He looks like he should be working on the dodgems at the local fair

Tom Hardy. So average!

Christmas dinner. Bland meat, smelly veg and only ever so slightly redeemed by pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce.

Restaurants that serve me food on something that's not a plate. I once had a chickens and leek pie in a mess tin FFS.

Camping. Trips away and holidays are supposed to be enjoyable, what is fun about sweeping bugs out your home in a morning and freezing half to death on a night

OP posts:

Five Guys - genuinely disgusting food
Nandos - dried-out shit

The80sweregreat · 30/11/2018 13:58

Funky! Pleased to read that some other people have resisted ' the cult' of Got or Star Wars. Seems to be a new film every year now! All looks very samey to me.

TheWiseWomansFear · 30/11/2018 13:58

@Miggeldy what are you getting from five guys of you think it's gross?

DarlingNikita · 30/11/2018 14:02

Fake glasses (as an accessory to an outfit)

Oh, it's my dream to wear fake glasses! In fact, to have a whole wardrobe of them. I think I love the idea of glasses as accessory because I am in fact blind as a bat and have to wear them all the time to function even basically.

The80sweregreat · 30/11/2018 14:04

New Year's Eve comes up on a thread every year and I'm amazed how many people hate it! ( me included)
Tv is always rubbish too on that night ; it's usually Gary Barlow or some other has been or Jules Holland pretending it's NYE when it was recorded weeks beforehand!
It's another day to get through before we can all go back to normal!

FunkyKingston · 30/11/2018 14:29

unky! Pleased to read that some other people have resisted ' the cult' of Got or Star Wars. Seems to be a new film every year now! All looks very samey to me.

I am amazes how many otherwise intelligent adults are seemingly utterly besotted with both though!

Oh, and GOT.

Funkyslippers · 30/11/2018 17:18

Rod Stewart - IMO he just can't sing
Your Song by Elton John. I just can't escape that boring, weird-lyrical drone
Adults that get excited about Christmas in November
Adults that spend far too much money on their LOs at Christmas as a way of over-compensating for something, only to take half of it to the charity shop in January

JosieJasper · 30/11/2018 17:45

MLM (Multi Level Marketing)

It’s taking over my FB feed and it’s all lies, you cannot lose 5 inches of fat by having a bloody wrap on for 45 mins... babe!! Angry

dontalltalkatonce · 30/11/2018 17:53

Weddings, and especially big white ones when one or both of you have been married before and/or already have kids together.

Naming ceremonies. You give the kid a name when you register the birth.

Funkyslippers · 30/11/2018 18:01

Also.... Lorraine Kelly, Christmas Eve boxes (as if kids don't already get enough the day after) and Rita Ora

Miggeldy · 30/11/2018 23:17

@Miggeldy what are you getting from five guys of you think it's gross?

The french fries are floppy and taste naff. they're a real letdown.
the burgers are so horribly greasy.

i've tried five guys in three different countries and each is as bad as the other.
Yuk.

IHopeThisIsAGoodIdea · 30/11/2018 23:27

Reality TV, it's 95% shit and often about "celebrities" I care nothing about.

Those stupid plaques people put on their walls that say things like "Love" and "Hope" and "Family whatev". Bleh. 🙄

Vivianebrezilletbrooks · 01/12/2018 01:14

I'm glad someone mentioned Take That. Of all the bands I've hated in my life, they are top of the list.
I was a teenager when they were about the first time(had a friend who had the duffle bag,the necklace etc etc)and they were pure dross then and they are still now.
Robbie Williams especially. Smug twat.
I remember when Gary Barlow was so unpopular towards the end of the 90s and Just Seventeen did a hilarious p**s take off him.
A musical was written by them or about them and it was on for one week at Bristol Hippodrome. As if they're legends or something!!!! Of all the boybands ever they're the only one I really can't stand.

RoboticSealpup · 01/12/2018 08:46

I've never understood why David Beckham is seen as the good looking one in the relationship and Victoria is considered to be punching above her weight. I think they're both perfectly nice looking people, but nothing to go crazy over.

The80sweregreat · 01/12/2018 10:15

I would say that it's David beckham that's punching to be honest! She has an enviable figure and very pretty. He is just greasy tattooed fairground material! ( as said here before)

BruegelTheEIder · 01/12/2018 10:27

They're both just average people in every way, apart from the fact one was very good at football.

Welshwabbit · 01/12/2018 10:30

Baked beans
Cola (any brand, I am an equal opportunities cola hater)
Tom Hanks

BruegelTheEIder · 01/12/2018 10:32

I know it's been mentioned a lot, but celebrity culture in general. I just don't get it.

The 3rd most-read article on bbc news this morning is "Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reach custody agreement"... Why would anyone read this?? Divorced parents around the world reach custody agreements every day! Who cares???

DameSquashalot · 01/12/2018 11:03

Stollen
Panetone

justmakemeacuppa · 01/12/2018 12:22

Wine o clock! I hate this saying makes me think of my chavvy neighbor. She is good at wining every bloody hour though

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 01/12/2018 13:02

@dsrlingnikkita

Sorry I men's those who wear them but don't need them. They're just frames from claires accessories and they wear them to look "geek chic"
