I would be taking it out of her savings or pocket money until she had made the amount up. She needs to realise the value of money.

cheesydoesit · 25/11/2018 14:30

Well don't let her keep it!

SaucyJack · 25/11/2018 14:32

Have you got all of her Xmas presents already?

If not, maybe make the make-up count towards £50 worth.

Plus, banning her from the PC for a fortnight or whatevs.

TheSmallAssassin · 25/11/2018 14:34

Make her pay for it from her own money, or keep back pocket or Christmas money.

Also, if she needs to use your computer, create an account for her. Lock your screen or log out when you are not using it and don't let anyone else know your password. Basic security!

IceRebel · 25/11/2018 14:36

I'd be taking the makeup off of her so she can't use it. Then i'd be keeping back pocket money until the £50 had been paid back.

I'd also create an account for her on the computer as a previous poster said.

PegLegAntoine · 25/11/2018 14:39

Don’t forget to add on the interest at the correct percentage for your credit card. A good life lesson for her in there about using credit in general.

cheesydoesit · 25/11/2018 14:41

YANBU by that way. I'd be fucking livid and so disappointed.

paintinmyhairAgain · 25/11/2018 14:43

how did dd think she'd get away with it ? def get that money back from her.

anitagreen · 25/11/2018 14:44

Just a heads up what she's bought is probably fake too. 90% of high end makeup on Amazon is fake so make sure she's aware of that as she'll ruin her skin

WorraLiberty · 25/11/2018 14:45

Take it off her and make her return the money she stole from you.

Aquamarine1029 · 25/11/2018 14:46

Take the make-up, make her pay you back, and withhold privileges. Take her phone, no computer, whatever. Nip this shit in the bud. This cannot be tolerated.

SavoyCabbage · 25/11/2018 14:47

I was just going to say that Anita. There is a huge amount of fake make up. When I was living in Australia there was a big news story as there was fake make up being sold that contained lead.

gamerchick · 25/11/2018 14:47

You have taken it from her haven't you? No matter what punishment you inflict, it'll mean nothing if she gets to keep it.

GreenMeerkat · 25/11/2018 14:55

£50 for one item of makeup?

Bloody hell, I'd expect to slap that in and be instantly transformed into Gigi Hadid for that price!

Misses point of thread entirely.

SoupDragon · 25/11/2018 14:57

Didn't you get a confirmation email?

If that were my DD she would be paying me back and not going on my laptop again.

Maelstrop · 25/11/2018 14:59

Get it off her. She can have it back when she's returned all of the money. That will teach her not to use accounts fraudulently.

HamiltonCork · 25/11/2018 15:00

Take the makeup off her until she has paid for it. Also ban her from the laptop until then too.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 25/11/2018 15:00

I'd take it off her and put on ebay if not used, or just use it myself. No way would I let her keep it.

lljkk · 25/11/2018 15:00

How much does she accept & understand that this was wrong thing to do, Ohwawawa?

VibeTribe · 25/11/2018 15:01

Probably way OTT but I’d consider asking a local police officer to pop around to discuss theft. It’s such a lack of respect for you and I’d be worried what it could lead to.

Nice idea but the police are too stretched to attend burglaries and assaults so I very much doubt they would send someone out for that.

PattiStanger · 25/11/2018 15:04

Way OTT and a criminal waste of stretched police resources, is that a serious suggestion.

I'm sure you've now taken out your card details, I agree with most, she absolutely has to pay you back.

BMW6 · 25/11/2018 15:07

Well that's her Xmas and possibly next birthday presents done, depending on how much you can afford to spend.......and of course change your password on Amazon!

ohwawawa · 25/11/2018 15:08

She said sorry, and thats it...She doesent seem bothered. I took it of her along with her phone and i pad. I said she is to pay it all back. She said "In your dreams". She has had a change in attitude recently, no idea why.

What was it she bought? I wouldn’t give it back.
