Inspired by another thread, what are things that give you the willies?

My biggest one is houseboats.

Cotton wool

Sink holes

Never encountered one IRL, thank fuck

But on TV

Cooling towers has reminded me.
Power substations and radars and big radio masts.
Those windmills you get on farms.

Honestly, im scared of almost everything.

Ice caves. Also rolling open fields covered in snow and a grey sky - it becomes almost a ‘white out’. Used to be a recurring nightmare theme when I was a child.

Another here for open water, always dream of floods and hate walking over bridges with water under them.

Holes is another. Lots of tiny ones clustered together 🥴

Cotton wool also. Even the though of it makes me ill

Open water..
I remember watching the first series of blue planet and feeling like i was suffocating.

Fucking earwigs. Never knew what one looked like until i swear i almost died when i saw this thing in my porch before i left for work and had to then describe it to my colleague and then draw what i could remember and he told me what it was and then proceeded to fucking Google image search and make me almost pass out.
I think i died a little just remembering that story.

It's the feeling of cotton wool on finger-tips, it makes my skin crawl. Eeeeeeeee.

Swimming pool grates. Plug holes. When it’s so dark I can’t tell the difference between my eyes being open and closed.

What’s creepy about house boats?!

Belly buttons don't exist.

Dark water. I'm fine on a boat but I still get the willies if I'm looking overboard when we go from seeing the bottom to that deep dark looking bit [shudder]
Also railway platforms. I always get the fear that I'm going to jump off the edge just as a train comes in. Same with cliffs.

Holes. I have a fear of them 😕

The Universe. I start thinking about how vast it is and incomprehensible and have to give up. It just gives me the willies good and proper.

Willys.. and belly buttons and long toenails 😷

Bunintheoven it's called trypophobia - fear of clusters of holes. Quite common apparently.

I can't stand belly buttons. Bleurgh! The sight of them, touching them ( even my own ) in fact talking about them makes me feel sick 😷

Another vote for deep, dark water. The thought of swimming in it makes me shudder.
The sound of a bristle broom sweeping concrete.

I just think houseboats look like where murders happen. And I live on the river so have to see them every day.

Also, the feeling of socks on carpet. Like if you rub your socked foot on the carpet. Makes me want to vom.

The holes fear is called trypophobia, but for godsake DO NOT google it,
unless you want to see the most hideous photo's known to man.

Wobbly teeth. Dd has lost two teeth and I couldn't even look when she wobbled them.

Thinking of Space and the planet just being suspended in darkness. Makes me feel like I'm going to pass out with dizziness.
