Daily Fail story here
21 babies! That's some achievement. I cannot believe her body is still in one piece. I feel sorry for those kids though. There's absolutely no way they can all have the individual attention they need growing up. Four kids maybe, perhaps 6 at an absolute push but 21 seems like collecting trophies for a hobby to me. It'd be interesting to see what families those children decide to have when the time comes. It seems like she's putting her own want for babies ahead of her existing children's wellbeing & that isn't healthy. I'm curious that she's practically guaranteed herself an endless supply of babies as her children have children. But they're supposedly paying for everything themselves so we're not allowed to say anything against them. I don't agree with it. Tell me I'm being U.

I heard that her uterus is paper thin.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 10/11/2018 07:16

Urgh. It makes me feel sick 🤢

utterplonker · 10/11/2018 07:17

NBU. I know what you mean, I also wonder about the children’s futures. It seems like some kind of addiction . I get it - I loved being pregnant and giving birth etc but still stopped at 2! Fine they pay their own way, but at what cost to their children long term

SnuggyBuggy · 10/11/2018 07:17

Besides anything I would have run out of names well before double digits

mossyroundhill · 10/11/2018 07:18

If everyone ignored them they might stop.

darkriver198868 · 10/11/2018 07:18

Your not. I also feel sorry for the children.

Icklepup · 10/11/2018 07:18

12 minute labor 😁

ImpendingDisaster · 10/11/2018 07:19

Gross.

Unicyclethief · 10/11/2018 07:19

Makes me sad, she was a child when she had her first. She was 14 and he was 20. That is horrifying.

Shirleyphallus · 10/11/2018 07:19

Isn’t it a bit more odd that she gave birth aged 14 when her husband was 18....?

Shirleyphallus · 10/11/2018 07:20

@Unicyclethief x-post, was he 20?! Wow!

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 10/11/2018 07:24

It's not just the cost to the parents, though, is it? What's the cost to each child who gets 'replaced' by yet another baby? What's the cost when each one has homework, needs bedtime stories, when they're full of cold and need a night snuggling on the sofa, when they've had a tough day and need a bit of one-on-one time?

I don't believe any family with 21 children is giving any or all of them their best.

I’m not envious of them at all but at 38+1 pregnant myself the idea of a 12 minute labour sounds pretty appealing Blush

Birdsgottafly · 10/11/2018 07:28

Shirleyphallus, no he'd just turned 18. He was 17 when he got her pregnant. They grew up in care and met through those circumstances.

It was common for Girls who grow up in Care to have children very young. Now we understand that, we try to counter-act that.

canyouhearthedrums · 10/11/2018 07:29

Don't want to click on the link, did they announce the name? I'm really glad all is ok, she had PPH after the last 2. This will not be the last baby either.

MarinetteDupainCheng · 10/11/2018 07:29

I worry about her, both her physical health having been through so many pregnancies, and her mental health - what makes her keep having babies over and over (if it indeed is her choice). Also, concern about the dynamics of their relationship considering she was a child and he an adult when it started.

And that’s not even starting on the concerns about the children as outlined by PP.

I don’t think the media attention does anyone in that family any favours, it all feels quite exploitative.

Oysterbabe · 10/11/2018 07:31

I wouldn't even be able to remember all of their names let alone give them any quality attention.

canyouhearthedrums · 10/11/2018 07:31

Apparently they are filming 21 Kids and Counting at the moment and are going back to Florida in Feb.

Unicyclethief · 10/11/2018 07:31

And she was 13?

TheChineseChicken · 10/11/2018 07:31

As someone who took over a year to conceive DD1 and is now on month of of TTC DC2 I don't understand how someone can manage to get pregnant 21 times?!

Roussette · 10/11/2018 07:32

Of course YANBU.

Selfish selfish couple who should've had counselling after baby number 8 or 10 or whatever.

All they think about are themselves because it is humanly impossible to give care, love, attention and nurture to 21 children. This care ratio wouldn't be allowed in a childrens home, so why should it be allowed in a family.

I'm appalled.

EmmaJR1 · 10/11/2018 07:32

@Jonsey79

"I heard that her uterus is paper thin."

This made me sick in my mouth a bit! 😂

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 10/11/2018 07:32

I'm a bit "meh" about it tbh.
Yes it's a lot of kids but families that size were not unusual in the past.
They can't do the kind of intensive child focused parenting that's fashionable now, but they do adequately parent.
They almost certainly claim tax credits but, fuck it, that's what they're there for..
Its not what I'd choose for myself but it's not the worst family life I've ever heard of.
There's always going to be outliers to the norm and some family has to be the biggest.

PerryPerryThePlatypus · 10/11/2018 07:33

I think they both have issues relating to their birth parents. I wonder how a child with SN would impact the rest.
