In your school? That happened to come out as the truth, or a lie?.
Just finished reading a really good thread on it and would love to hear more.
When I was in school the rumour was the classic someone put a mars bar somewhere it shouldn't... and that a teacher was having an affair with a pupil. (Wasn't true). Oh we also had the pe teacher apparently having an affair with the English teacher. That was true!.

Oh and after I left school a guy I started working with who was the year below me said the rumour they knew about my form tutor was that he was a raging alcoholic. Im not sure why he was the subject of most of the rumours

That our female headteacher used to be a man. She was really tall and built a bit like a man, but nope, not true

That a boy a couple of years below me got caught trying to have sex with a horse. Always thought it was a mad rumour until I mentioned it to someone a few months ago. Turned out to be true and his whole family had to leave the area

At primary school the headteacher left because he was caught having sex with a male parent on his desk in the office -true it was a huge scandal around the town I lived in

PE teacher was having a relationship with a year 11- true they were caught during a fire alarm on a staircase kissing

DT teacher had a wooden leg and would take it off during lessons - lies he had a prosthetic leg but not sure it was wooden and he didn’t take it off

Form teacher had a meltdown due to one class and went to a mental health facility or as 14 year old students said funny farm- not sure but she did have a meltdown during a form lesson and cried and didn’t come back for 4 months

The deputy head miss mcman was born a man and was living as a woman - no idea never figured it out but it was long before transitioning was spoken about so who knows

The French teacher and the IT teacher were having an affair, and now 20 years later they are married. And one of the girls in our year married the IT guy’s son, so now her MIL and FIL are our old teachers!

RE teacher was a paedo. Turned out to be true and he was fired

Almost all of the "rumours" in the 80s at my secondary school were actually true, and almost all of them involved an adult having sex with a child, generally a teacher with a pupil :(

That the very eccentric and not remotely glamorous maths teacher had featured in men’s mag ‘Razzle’.

That our terrifying Scottish geography teacher had once punched a student (obviously untrue but I think he enjoyed the fear that one provided).

@Fanciedachange1 yes and this one actually got the girl (year 10) pregnant. She gave the baby up for adoption after pressure from her parents . Was a big, not very well kept secret.

Chemistry teacher murdered his wife. True.

PE teacher was a lesbian. True.

English teacher was fired from his previous school for assaulting a pupil. Not accurate- he actually tied the pupil in question to a table with rope, I found out from a friend who went to the other school.

Male maths teacher was going out with a female sixth former - true and they're now married with children.

Music teacher looked up girls skirts and cornered them in the cupboard - not sure but he disappeared from school and didn't come back.

Girl tried to leap frog her hockey stick and landed on it so it went up her vagina. I think this may have been at least partly true, as the rumour came with a first name.

Primary Headmistress was imprisoned for committing £140K of school supplies fraud after she was passed over for the Headship of a new Middle School.

High School - Chemistry teacher was an alcoholic - I had double Chemistry first thing on a Monday morning and he would walk down the Lab in silence to the prep room at the back, there would be the sound of a bottle trembling against a beaker a few times, then he would come out and start the lesson.
Whether he was an alcoholic before his Geography mistress wife started an affair with the Music master or because of it was never established.

Head of PE was in a Lesbian relationship with the Food Tech teacher. Head of PE did not return after one summer holiday but the Food Tech teacher returned married and much more pregnant than she could have achieved in the 6 week holiday.

The Music master & Geography Mistress eventually moved to other (separate) schools.

The new Music Mistress was very Rock 'n Roll - too much so it transpired - she was bedding male & female students with equal vigour . . .

Sadly I was subject to a disgusting and very untrue rumour that tormented me the whole of my way through secondary school. I had very few friends, spent most of my time alone, and was well known throughout the school (and therefore constantly subject to verbal abuse) for the rumour. It was awful!

We had a teacher who was always rumoured to be dating pupils. he was around 36 and the students around 15/16. The rumours were true and he ended up marrying the last student he dated. We all thought he was s gross old man

Two teachers were having an affair. Husband also a teacher murdered 1 of them.

That a creepy "looking" teacher was abusibg pupils, he most likely wasn't. However a v well respected teacher who was involved in many out of school wonderful charities was. I know 100%. It's often not the ones people think.

There was a rumour that one of our teachers was a pedo, looking up girls skirts etc etc...

My mum was a teacher there and when I told her she was shocked and shouted at me to not repeat this rumour!

His wife worked there too, he died and it turns out he wasn't as far as I no.

He was actually a really lovely guy!

Also there was a rumour that this girl sucked off a dog underneath a bed while her mates watched.

And also about a girl who was so drunks she shoved a bottle of lamb to I up her hoohaa!

I don't think ether of them were true to be honest

Oh also our deputy head would sleep with one boy every leavers do. I highly doubt this as she would of been sacked as our school was one of these that tried their best to be one of the best schools.

Also the one of the boy putting the pencils up his nose and banging his head on the table it went up his brain and he died.

Also there was one of this girl who asked to go the toilet the the teacher, the teacher refused. In the end she tried to run out of the classroom and shit her self in the middle of the corridor just has everyone was leaving the classroooms. I thought it was fake, but my husband who went to this school has confirmed it was true. He said she got so much stuck for it, and she ended up leaving! :(

Music teacher was sleeping with a yr 11. True. She left and never returned.

Maths teacher was a grumpy lesbian. Untrue. We found out she was actually a widow. Once she told us she was happier... must have been a relief to tell someone I guess. She later had a mental breakdown a few years later and locked herself in her cupboard.

Science teacher was a paedo. Possibly. Siblings were in his class and if they couldn't think of a unique answer to his questions they had to say "I love you Mr.C". I did find that odd.

Same teacher also possibly sent dirty emails to colleagues... half true. I saw some but for the life of me can't remember what they said or who to exactly. He didn't realise I was stood behind him. I was silent apparently. Don't know how he didn't see me though... u had to pass his desk to get next to him.

That I was sleeping with said science teacher... Untrue. That was based off a true story of a girl in the year below who fancied him. People misheard what I'd said and so that started.

That a maths teacher was Jesus. He had the beard and long hair. He quite liked that rumour after we told him.

PE teacher was a lesbian. True. She didnt used to watch us get dressed though. Guess she wanted to be safe.

That another science teacher died. Untrue. He broke his collarbone skiing so was off for 4 months.

That I fancied him. Slightly true. He had beautiful eyes and teeth.

At uni... That the head of department was always drunk. Slightly true. Definitely came in stoned and or hungover several times. He eventually left because he was caught smoking drugs with students.

That he was gay. True. We found his Grindr account. He was also engaged but then broke it off I've since found out.

That we had 2 lesbian lecturers who were eating. True. Not sure if they're still together though but they're lovely and so enthusiastic about their subject that they were really good teachers.

Best friend also believes I'm in love with one of my old uni lecturers. Untrue but I do like his poetry and how he is no nonsense.

She also believes I liked another lecturer after I wrote "porn" for him. Untrue. The whole point was to make him as the reader feel uncomfortable. I got a 1st so i managed it but he never spoke to me again

Mine is way too outing. It was about me and it was false but I got bullied for years about it.
