they're not on a date, they're carrying out official business YY to this. The press refer to their pottering around as 'engagements' and 'work' therefore they should behave as if they are at work. You don't see married couples that work together going on like M&H! It is really simpering and over the top too. As if they think are so much more in love than anyone else!

I think it is lovely and I also thought it was lovely that Harry was fine with the little boy hugging him the other day, which is also against normal royal protocol. I have seen a lot worse at work over the years than holding hands.

Some couples are more demonstrative than others.

I know what you mean OP. They do sometimes look more like loved up teenagers giggling together in a corner, than a royal couple on an official engagement.

There is nothing wrong with it, I would much rather see a couple that actually cares about each other, and shows they are human, then some stiff formal crap

It's sweet. They love each other. I'm not a royalist by any means but I think it does the royal family's image good. I like that they look so relaxed and approachable (the hugging and touching Harry's beard, as mentioned, was very sweet to see).

It's lovely. They seem so much in love and very down to earth. DD is obsessed with them so I regularly have to watch the news about them due to her insistence.

I do actually agree about inappropriate for work, DH and I work for the same government ministry, if we held hands at work we'd be spoken to and potentially disciplined, also it would be a bit cringey walking into a meeting holding hands. However let's be honest, and I say this as someone who is in favour of the royals, what they do isn't actually work, so I'm not sure it applies
