Hello again, just checked back in. I think one of the reasons many people get annoyed w Harry adn Meghan is that they are royals. People don't get so annoyed at other celebrities - actors, musicians, artists, whatever, doing PDA's. They're kind of not meant to be serious, and we can dote on them being happy and in love and attractive.
The riyals family is quite another thing though. For people who support monarchy, I supose they're meant to be dignified at all times, extremely professional, not really human and more like a symbol of Britishness. Which is why some people think it's annoying Meghan seems un-British. Other people who like the monarchy like them for precisely this reason, think theyøre bringing a breath of fresh air and are happy if the monarchy becomes more approachable.
For republicans, I think we often have v mixed emotions when weeing royals? I can only speak for myself, but for me, I alwys feel conflicted. On the one hand, I see people whom I do not know personally, have no reason to dislike particularly, and I even felt touched watching pictures of their wedding, they looked so happy and it was quite moving. The other part of me gets annoyed precisely about the fact that the pomp and circumstance and v human romance at the heart of it has managed to ovverride my dislike of monarchy, and so I tend to look for weak points to combat this emotion. Bet I'm not the only one like this.
One the whole, I suppose it's better to simply say I'm against the monarchy for political and ideological reasons, and seeing that the royals are not excately abdicating or doing anything to lead less lavish lifestyles in the face of increasing poverty in the UK and around the world, I also do not feel v positively towards them. I suppose I wish they would just have the baby and stop holding hands in oublic so we would have to hear about their annoying existence a bit less.
