To be fed up beyond belief with the trans activists

I'm so sick of the bigotry now. Surely these people just want to have a piss in peace without being hassled?
What rights is it exactly that the trans activists are shit scared that women are going to lose out on?
I wish they'd all just be quiet and let others live their lives how they see fit without reprisal or judgement from narrow minded idiots.
I honestly feel that this debate is just a platform for the bigots to congregate to attack a minority because we all know what attaching ethnic minorities, gays, lesbians etc is just not acceptable. How is this any different?

I’d like to know what @Mumthedogsbeensick was trying to send OP...? A shield, perhaps?

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 17/10/2018 16:52

It's a bit of a circular argument really. Trans rights people want to be able to use women's facilities because, what? They don't feel safe in the men's presumably. But they want women to accept them despite them being male bodied (I believe the percentage who opt for full surgical reassignment is small).
So, men are dangerous, so a subset of men should be allowed to use the facilities designed in part to protect women from men. And we aren't supposed to mind because it's all totally harmless. Apparently.
Why is nobody trying to persuade men not to arm transwomen when they use the (biologically) correct facilities? That would solve everything except for any stray AGP having a need to force women to accept them as female. And they, frankly, can fuck right off.

Onlyhappywhenitrains1 · 17/10/2018 16:52

Oh well if you don't mind seeing and penis then problem solved.

You know the debate is about more than toilets yeah. And actually some people do have an issue seeing a penis and it's owner seeing them.

PositivelyPERF · 17/10/2018 16:53

I know I'm not educated on the issue

No shit!

Finfintytint · 17/10/2018 16:53

I think OP has forgotten to add the word anti in front of trans.
Either that or they’ve been on the gin.

snapnfarter · 17/10/2018 16:53

My bad. I got my terminology wrong. 👋🏻

OP posts:
iismum · 17/10/2018 16:54

'm on the side of human beings, and these views about female only spaces, although valid, are being used as a stick to batter trans people.

But if you think these views are valid, why do you think that anyone voicing them is a bigot?

PositivelyPERF · 17/10/2018 16:54

Either that or they’ve been on the gin.

They might make more sense if they had a drink.

DonkeyHotei · 17/10/2018 16:54

It really shows the brain level of some posters who are so delighted that you got the terminology "wrong" so they can have a glorious time crowing over it.

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 17/10/2018 16:54

Also, it really isn't all about toilets. It's about refuges, hospital wards and not wanting to be frisked by a male-bodied person. Among other things, those are the ones which come most readily to mind.

PavlovianLunge · 17/10/2018 16:55

I don't mind about seeing a penis.

In a women-only space, such as a women’s toilet? Are you out of your fucking mind?

I’m all for live and let live. I’m all for people transitioning, if that’s what they need to do. But a penis does not belong in a women-only space, and I say that as the owner of one.

Soyalatteforme · 17/10/2018 16:55

Where is the battering of transpeople you complain of, in relation to this discussion? I’ve seen behaviours and consequences of the consultation on the GRA criticised but I’ve not seen a post which could be described as hatred towards transpeople.

Soubriquet · 17/10/2018 16:55

You might not care about seeing a penis but what about women who have been raped?

Surely they have the right to be able to use the bathroom or enter a refuge or request a female only doctor and guarantee that it won’t be a man who enters.

DonkeyHotei · 17/10/2018 16:56

Tiresome bigots. Unfortunately I've seen people actually stating that those bigoted arguments that they've encountered on mumsnet have influenced them. I think when you get to the point that you're disagreeing with amnesty international, you need to ask yourself some questions....

I've read your OP a few times OP and it doesn't seem to make an awful lot of sense.

The paragraph above in particularly, makes no sense whatsoever.

Do you know exactly what a trans activist is.

There really is rather more involved in this whole trans issue than a few people wanting to piss in peace.

As pp said. You might want to do some research before you start voicing your 'woke', right on opinions.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 17/10/2018 16:57

I want to have a piss in peace too. I don’t want the likes of Karen White next to me in the ladies or in a changing room. I don’t want a rapist to be put in a female prison just because he’s bought a wig and started to call himself Mandy. I don’t want women’s sporting achievements to be negated by cheating men. Self ID is a danger to women and to genuine transexual people.

Chosenone · 17/10/2018 16:57

You see. I think #nodebate is totalitarianism. Why can't we discuss the issues properly. A reasoned debate should be 'allowed' not no platformed.

PositivelyPERF · 17/10/2018 16:57

It really shows the brain level of some posters who are so delighted that you got the terminology "wrong" so they can have a glorious time crowing over it.

I would say it says more about the complete ignorance of posters that come on her screaming that we’re all bigots, when they haven’t a fucking clue what the issues are. Just typical of the handmaidens.

PerfectPenquins · 17/10/2018 16:57

So why dont we just scrap all sex-segregated spaces then? Make teens change for PE together, all communal changing areas no need for cubicles because as you say your eyes won't melt at the sight of a penis will they? Women's refuges? Nah who needs those not bigoted victims that's for sure, I mean hell they might be traumatised have been beaten, raped, abused by men but fuck it, that's no excuse to exclude someone with a penis is it? Dam bigots everywhere. Businesswoman of the year? Give it to a man with a penis that wears a dress one day a week that will do. Equality in the workplace well we dont want to be hiring those bigots with wombs so lets go for Geoff and dave and say they identify as women half the week each that will solve that issue. No pesky maternity leave of pay awesome!
Don't worry about teaching anatomy to kids science is transphobic- I mean men can have vaginas right? Its a dam shame if your bones are ever dug up they would be correctly sexed not gendered bloody future bigots.

I suggest you use the gents op. Then you can see a whole bunch of penises
And it makes sense to educate yourself on a topic you wish to argue about

YuhBasic · 17/10/2018 16:58

I know I'm not educated on the issue, but I don't feel the need to be

Quite right. It’s fine to have a strong opinion on something without having the first clue about the subject. Makes perfect sense.

🙄🙄🙄

snapnfarter · 17/10/2018 16:59

You really think a transgender man would go through med school just so he can look at your vagina? Blush

OP posts:
Elephantinacravat · 17/10/2018 16:59

The number of people who would want to self ID to perpetrate horrible crimes would be so low as to make denying a lot of people basic human decency a crying shame.

How is letting someone self identify as something they are not (ie. The opposite sex) 'basic human decency', like its some kind of basic human right? Why should anyone be able to self identify as a woman and have access to women's spaces and women's rights? Why do they get that?

It's not just about stopping men committing crimes anyway. It's about women having single sex spaces for reasons of privacy and dignity as well. I don't want to share certain spaces with men, that's it really.

3TresTrois · 17/10/2018 17:00

You don’t feel the need to be educated on the issue, but you do feel the need to make big pronouncements on the issue?

Right!
