AIBU?

To ask for your biscuit recommendations?

I have realised I am in a biscuit no-mans land, having eaten, but not loved many a biscuit in my time. I’m now in search of ‘the one’, the lifetime partner biscuit that only death or removal from manufacture will see us parted. I do love a proper highland shortbread, but at the same time they are just a little too plain. Chocolate covered/filled/chips is good (but please don’t recommend hobnobs, I do not have the spare time available to remove those from my teeth). Any kind of fruit filling/coating could also be interesting. In particular, these biscuits are required to go with my last tea before bed at night, and also with a coffee or two during the week when I’m working from home. So
A) AIBU to ask, and
B) what do you recommend?

Oh Jesus, I'd really love a Borders biscuit right now. I love the assorted pack and eat the whole thing by myself (bar the cookies, the kids eat those).

Other than that I do love chocolate caramel digestives.

The Sainsbury’s TTD triple (quadruple?) chocolate ones are sooooo good - I could eat an entire pack in one go!

Best cookie - Girl Scout Samoas. Shortbread base with a mixture of caramel and coconut on top, crowned with a drizzle of dark chocolate.

I agree with another poster that chocolate malted milks are worth you giving a go.

My favourites are Fox's Sport biscuits (literally eat a packet in one go) and M & S lime and lemon Jaffa cakes.

Another vote for Tunnock's Caramel Logs ( perfection) and Tunnock's Tea Cakes are also moreish.

Aldi half choc covered cookies are OH absolutely favourite.

But sometimes I'm just in the mood for dunking 2/3 ( ok, 6) tea biscuits.

Marks and Spencer special ginger biscuits. You get about 10 in a pack - so spicy. I love them

Aldi dark chocolate digestives. Miles nicer than McVities and less than 50p!
Also, anything shortbread. Chocolate chip shortbread in particular. Again Aldi do a nice one.
I swear I don't work for Aldi!

Simmers brand, chocolate chip gingers, or Abernathy.

Walkers white chocolate and raspberry shortbread. I don’t even like white chocolate but I’d have your hand off if offered these.

Tunnocks caramel wafers.

I don’t know if you can get them in the UK, but

Bahlsen Russian Brot.

Pan de Stelle, Italian biscuits.

The best of all the biscuits is the Tim Tam. Chocolate coated with a creamy chocolate inside as well. If you also nibble off two corners on opposite ends you can drink your tea through it.

Not a biscuit, but twirls are best for using as a straw.

I'm a fan of the stroopwaffle. If you lay it on top of the cup while the tea brews, the caramel inside starts to melt and turn gooey.
It is strong enough to withstand a dunk, sweet enough to satisfy, no melty chocolate to mess up your fingers.

I actually had to stop buying them because they're so delicious I was struggling to resist them.
