To think Megan is expecting?

I know it’s none of my business, but does anyone else think Megan Markle is pregnant? And why isn’t the UK media speculating?? They usually speculate about this stuff. The US media has written some comments about her choice of clothing, which looks to cover a bump. I assume, they want to keep it private. I love news about a royal baby 😀 and does anyone think Kate will have one more?

Will it not? I thought it would be the same "level" as Beatrice and Eugenie

William and Harry are the same "level" as Beatrice and Eugenie (the heir to the throne bit notwithstanding!).

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the baby will be a Lord or a Lady as they're not direct in line for the throne.

AuntBeastie · 15/10/2018 12:19

I just looked it up because it’s interesting - if a boy, it will be an Earl. If a girl, it will be a lady. But the queen can step in to award them royal titles, which she did for Charlotte and Louis (who would not otherwise have been princess and prince, but rather lady and lord)

categed · 15/10/2018 12:19

The baby will be lady... or earl... but will not have a royal title.
To anyone who is pregnant best wishes for a healthy pregnancy and baby.

thisneverendingsummer · 15/10/2018 12:21

Ha ha to the haters. Meghan and Harry ARE happy, they ARE in love, and they ARE having a ROYAL BABY.

Well done and congratulations to them. Now the haters can go cry into their cornflakes............. Grin

thisneverendingsummer · 15/10/2018 12:21

And yes I am looking at YOU!!!!!!!!!!1

SoupDragon · 15/10/2018 12:23

Yes, I was thinking about it in terms of closeness to an heir to the throne and forgot that the queen would have to die for Harry to be the same level as Andrew was when B&E were born!

SoupDragon · 15/10/2018 12:23

Haters?

Piggle20 · 15/10/2018 12:25

Oh god so we have a wedding of 60m whilst people have no home and no food and another baby whilst the world burns and we have 12 years left to fix it or the whole place is effed. Great role models.

Gingerrogered · 15/10/2018 12:25

She changed that in 2012 when K&W got married and before they had children so I’m not sure she’ll do it this time, otherwise she would probably have done the same when H&M got married. If so it will be Earl or Lady for the time being but when the Queen dies they will auto-upgrade to Prince or Princess.

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 15/10/2018 12:26

Bloody love Meg, she's my fave royal.

Congratulations to the happy couple Wine

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 15/10/2018 12:27

Earl of Dumbarton if it's a little lad, Lady Mountbatten-Windsor if its a girl.

It's a girl though.

kenandbarbie · 15/10/2018 12:40

Her bump looks massive today!! How did she hide it in that green leather skirt?!?!?

CoughLaughFart · 15/10/2018 12:52

This is because George V issued a letters patent determining that male-line grandchildren of a sovereign would be styled as a prince or princess - hence Beatrice and Eugenie are princesses, whereas Princess Margaret’s children are an earl and a lady. As no sovereign since George V had lived to have great-grandchildren until the Queen, the issue never came up. The Queen decreed William’s children would be princes and princesses as they are in the direct line of succession. She could potentially do the same for Harry’s children as they will in all likelihood become the grandchildren of the sovereign - or they could just get upgraded by Charles. (There is of course the possibility of the Queen outliving Charles; therefore the child might never be the grandchild of a sovereign, whereas William’s children would become the children of a sovereign.)

Thymeout · 15/10/2018 12:56

Could Meghan have been Princess Harry, like Princess Michael of Kent? Alias Princess Pushy.

JellieEllie · 15/10/2018 13:02

The Royals seem to never have problems conceiving. They only married 4 months ago and she does appear to have a rounded bump already. Kate was the same.
My partner thinks it's because they get the best medical care going and so if there are problems with fertility it's hidden.
They have caught on extremely quickly though. I know people that have been trying for yeeeeaaaarssss and still to no avail.
I'm happy for them. I do love the Royal family.

CoughLaughFart · 15/10/2018 13:11

Yes, she could have, but it’s uncommon for this to happen. Male royal children and grandchildren usually receive a title when they marry and the bride is known by the wife’s title (therefore Sophie is generally known as Countess of Wessex rather than Princess Edward). I’m guessing Prince Michael didn’t get a title when he married because he was marrying a Catholic divorcee, so she just gets the title a Prince’s wife is entitled to.

PawneeParksDept · 15/10/2018 13:24

Could Meghan have been Princess Harry ?

No, because his name is Henry

Like Kate is

HRH, The Duchess Of Cambridge, Princess William of Wales

Meghan therefore must be

HRH, The Duchess Of Sussex, Princess Henry Of Wales

You won't find that anywhere for Meghan but it was stated for Kate so it must follow. Meghan is a princess just not styled as such so she must be Princess Henry.

EwItsAHooman · 15/10/2018 13:33

^i.e she can't use chemicals to straighten her whilst pregnant. I'm sure there are alternatives but as a non-African, I'm fairly naive.

You can get your hair relaxed in pregnancy, you can get it dyed and permed too. It's just a matter of personal choice, some research says chemical absorption is negligible while other research says to avoid it in the first trimester but hairdressers get pregnant and are around these chemicals all day long so....

Gingerrogered
I stand by assertion that being racially abused when your in the minority is more painful than someone suggesting your views are racist.
That’s why racism is considered a hate crime and feeling “hurt” for being called out for racist views isn’t if you can’t understand that then no point in engaging with you.

I’m guessing she is 12 weeks or 16 weeks. As they said baby due in spring. Spring is 6 months away at least!

And I have to add that I knew she was pregnant the day she wore that black short dress. Daily mail wrote now it was a distraction technique

Wow it's all here.. bitching about her nose, hair, character.

What I hope for cowardly racists hiding behind faux indignant 'Im not racist!' is that the baby takes after Meghan's mum...nose, hair & all 😂

The mass spontaneous combustion would be a joy to behold. & the zillion ways to make roundabout racist comments under the notion that it can't be sussed for what it is.

I wish Meghan a happy and healthy pregnancy

RedLife · 15/10/2018 16:18

The nose comment was about oestrogen

placemats · 15/10/2018 16:26

The nose comments are frankly disgusting. I have a flat and bulbous nose and I'm white Irish.

It didn't grow during pregnancy.

Meghan if you are reading this thread. You look radiant!
