To think Megan is expecting?

I know it’s none of my business, but does anyone else think Megan Markle is pregnant? And why isn’t the UK media speculating?? They usually speculate about this stuff. The US media has written some comments about her choice of clothing, which looks to cover a bump. I assume, they want to keep it private. I love news about a royal baby 😀 and does anyone think Kate will have one more?

Just seen on the BBC that Meghan is indeed pregnant!

Her billowing outfit at the wedding last week was the only thing that made me wonder if she might be.

Even though she is so slim, I doubt we would have seen a bump, even if she was into the 2nd trimester.

Ah, baby news is always lovely...they are very lucky that it has happened so quickly for them as presumably they waited until the wedding before TTC, then again who knows anybody else's business.

MynameisJune · 15/10/2018 08:52

I got shot down on the royal wedding thread on Friday for the same opinion. It was obvious in that blue coat that she didn’t take off even in church.

minniemummy0 · 15/10/2018 08:52

I think she was politely waiting to announce it after Eugenie’s wedding so as not to steal her thunder as it were.

Ooh I do love a Royal baby!

Taylor22 · 15/10/2018 08:53

Well it's been confirmed she is pregnant

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2018 08:53

Bulbous snout??
Didn't she wear a billowing dress to the wedding they went to soon after their own? Seems to bef her thing

Mrsmadevans · 15/10/2018 08:53

She must be at least 12 weeks surely or even a little further along.

TurquoiseDress · 15/10/2018 08:54

My first reaction was to get on MN and locate this thread!

Posted to soon 😒 I think it was really nice of her to wait till after the wedding even though it was clearly a struggle to hide. Hope she has a great pregnancy

kazwelch · 15/10/2018 08:54

On Facebook on the BBC news have said she is pregnant as breaking news.

Mrsmadevans · 15/10/2018 08:54

End of March beginning of April l reckon.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 15/10/2018 08:55

Excellent news!

BakedBeans47 · 15/10/2018 08:55

Gosh, that poster upthread who thinks she's not fit to be a royal won't be celebrating

Grin

Great news

SillySallySingsSongs · 15/10/2018 08:56

At least for her to risk going to Zika risk areas.

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2018 08:57

Will be baby be born in the EU or not? Or can we celebrate by cancelling the fiasco?

MynameisJune · 15/10/2018 08:57

Apparently she is 12 weeks so will be mid April probably, I’m 9 weeks and due mid May.

BishyBarneyBee3 · 15/10/2018 08:57

She is 12 weeks, according to sky news 👶

SillySallySingsSongs · 15/10/2018 08:57

What exactly has Brexit got to do with it Hmm

Gingerrogered · 15/10/2018 08:59

I told you! Pregnancy nose. Honestly, it is truly reliable.

Sallystyle · 15/10/2018 09:00

I am happy for them.

Of course someone was going to be right at some point. People thought she was pregnant before she got married.

They weren't right because they spotted a change in her nose or because of how happy she looks in photos.

Gingerrogered · 15/10/2018 09:00

Oof. Daily Mail says they broke the news to their family at the wedding. I think that’s Daily Mail made uppery.

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2018 09:01

Well nothing obviously? Can we only discuss the exact topic at hand or are we allowed to chat?

MiniCooperLover · 15/10/2018 09:01

They've already announced she won't visit the areas with Zika.

SillySallySingsSongs · 15/10/2018 09:02

Me too. Reality unfair if it is true.

TurquoiseDress · 15/10/2018 09:02

I'm doing the mental arithmetics in my head...she must have fallen pregnant pretty much just after the wedding/within a month or so.

Assuming that she is well past 12 weeks/had the dating scan etc

Again, they are very lucky that it seems to have happened all so quickly and, presumably, smoothly. Lets hope that the pregnancy continues to be healthy etc.

I couldn't help but do the maths again- I have a 10 week old, conceived after a painful 14 months or so TTC following a MMC found at the dating scan in summer 2016.

When I fell pregnant in spring 2016, Harry & Meghan would not even have met each other! Grin

Again, I think the point I'm trying to make is that they are very lucky to have (apparently) fallen pregnant so quickly!

IdaBWells · 15/10/2018 09:02

I was pretty neutral on Megs and Hazzer but with all the completely unnecessary vitriol on here and in the Daily Mail I am now firmly Team Sussex.

Also there is absolutely no way she is an "airhead". I live in the US and she got into one of the most academically challenging universities in the nation, Northwestern in Chicago. I personally also think that as an American there are certain qualities that a successful, intelligent woman such as Meghan are expected to possess that may possibly annoy the self-deprecating Brits.

Such as:

  • confidence
  • a good, clear, relatively loud speaking voice
  • experienced at public speaking
  • poise
  • no apologising for yourself
  • being prepared in new situations
  • expected to have a point of view and express it

Etc. You get the picture. Women don't constantly say "sorry" and apologize for taking up space in America. She is very typical of an intelligent, well educated American woman. She is also 37, she knows who she is and is bravely taking on her new role. I like her and can't stand the casual negativity toward her, especially if it seems to be thinly veiled racism.

Also Harry clearly has a raging passion for her and they have a very strong physical attraction, which is great to see in a family that has had it's share of emotionally stunted people, especially in the older generations.

I hope she is pregnant so we can all meet a gorgeous new baby in 2019 Bear
