Following on from 'Chicken nugget-gate' on the other thread 😉 and the popularity of the "What did you eat today" thread. I have to ask...

What Did Your Toddler Eat Today?

OP posts:
twinkledag · 13/10/2018 20:36

DS is 4, is that still a toddler? He's had:

Toast
2 satsumas

2 frubes

Pasta and pesto
Quavers
Lolly pop

Lamb, rice and Khobez bread.
Yoghurt

ItsAndTarts · 13/10/2018 20:42

Hazelnut and chocolate croissant
Banana
Bacon Sandwich
Another banana
Orange
Lasagne
Not the best food day today but he's been happy!

MisstoMrs · 13/10/2018 20:44

@Owlettele they are from Organix goodies but I’ve only seen them in Morrisons. Kidilicious coconut rolls are also a good option if your little one can tolerate a little coconut milk.

A toddler is generally considered 1&2yo's. Once they're 3&4 they're preschoolers.

Belle1616 · 13/10/2018 20:47

DS is nearly 14 months is teething and has a cold so way worse than usual...

We are still breastfeeding and he’s been in the boob about 10 times today!

Breakfast- few spoons of alpro yoghurt 2 blueberries the rest thrown on the floor

Snack -a few bits of rice cake

Lunch- couscous and veg ( what I was having as rejected cheese sandwich)
2 bites of pear and a couple of grapes
Half a smoothie

Satsuma whilst out shopping

Rejected avocado pasta, ate avocado on its own, some grapes and the other half smoothie..

Shinynamechange · 13/10/2018 20:54

2yr old
Porridge with banana and raisins

Egg mayo sandwich. Mostly just licked the egg off. Yoghurt and grapes.

1/2 bowl Mushroom stroganoff. Some apple slices.

He’s got a cold and isn’t eating much today

Youaremysunshine2017 · 13/10/2018 21:07

14 month old who until a month ago, ate like a champ and is now a fussy monkey!

B- cheerios, handful of raspberries, half slice of toast.

Snack- rice cakes with peanut butter, Apple slices with peanut butter (just licked off the peanut butter), more raspberries (he's obsessed)

Lunch- a bit of veg soup, some cheese twist sticks. Greek yogurt.

Snack- banana (another addiction he has) and a Disney fruit bake bar.

Dinner- beef stew and mash. Overnight oats and blueberries.

Looking at that, it's not bad. Some days he is repulsed by the same food that he loved the previous day.

melissasummerfield · 13/10/2018 21:20

This is the best thread ive read in ages! So honest and non bitchy for a change Smile

13mo
Breakfast - toast and butter and a banana
Lunch - homemade fish , wedges and beans and peas, baby yoghurt and a custard cream
Dinner - cheese sandwich on wholemeal with strawberries and another yoghurt

Its so depressing that my 3yo only eats hotdogs, processed chicken and pancakes Sad

Figmentofimagination · 13/10/2018 21:27

So I've got back from work and found out the afternoon snack was not grapes. It was baby biscuits and a malteaser reindeer 🤦🏻‍♀️

And tea was sweet and sour chicken with rice and lots of prawn crackers.

No wonder DS was hyper at bedtime. DH can deal with any wake ups during the night.

Tunnocks34 · 13/10/2018 21:28

My 2 year old had:

Breakfast: 2 Scotch pancakes with honey and half a banana and a cup of water
Snack: Chocolate Cookie, a Millie’s cookie although he only ate half of it.
Lunch: Cheese Sandwich, natural yoghurt and some Pom bears. Followed by half a slice of chocolate cake (his nana was down and so he got spoilt). Cup of cordial.
Snack: Tangerine
Tea: Frozen Pizza (cooked), carrots, celery, grapes, cucumber, hummus and a cup of milk. He ate it all.
Supper: Another cup of milk and a slice of buttered rye bread.

Tunnocks34 · 13/10/2018 21:31

My four year old ate Like shit though:

Breakfast: one bite of pancake, no banana, cup of water

Snack: One full Millie’s cookie

Lunch: cheese sandwich, juice. Refused yoghurt, refused cake.

Snack: Banana

Tea: Refused everything.

Supper: Toast and jam and a cup of milk.

Love this thread, joining in even though 6mo DC is too young to qualify:
a few spoonfuls porridge
a slice of apple (it's amazing what you can do with two teeth and force of will)
Ella's Kitchen melty puff thing
half a Nairn's fruit oatcake (wasn't expecting that to actually go out in but he managed to pulp it)
and a small shower practising with the tippy cup.
We'll give him a lettuce leaf to mess around with later ( he really loves wiping them on his face) and try some other bits.

All the food on here looks fine tbh and it's all very reassuring, thanks OP

Faster · 14/10/2018 14:07

DS 15mo

Bowl and a half of shreddies

Four gallons of pool water

Veggie sausage, hash brown and some beans followed by an actimel prune yoghurt

Dog biscuit.

AlphaBravo · 14/10/2018 16:15

So far today we're on

1 cup of whole milk
A big bowl of Ellas kitchen porridge (9 scoops 😮) made with formula milk
A rogue bite of Daddy's chicago town pizza
Tried to bite the dog - failed
1 chicken and sweetcorn fritter

OP posts:
Spudlet · 14/10/2018 16:24

Ds is 2.75 and is suddenly always hungry... but awful at eating veg. So far, he has eaten:

Breakfast: 1 weetabix with semi-skimmed milk and sliced banana, drink of milk

Morning snack: raisins, a little bit of fruit cake

Lunch: soft cheese snadwich, three of those 'carrot' wotsit thingies, more banana

Afternoon: another drink of milk, a cracker

Later he will have sausage casserole, and some mashed sweet potato. I hope. Plus yet more banana (he eats one a day, over the course of thr day), and some apple strudel. And more milk. That's the plan, anyway...
