Following on from 'Chicken nugget-gate' on the other thread 😉 and the popularity of the "What did you eat today" thread. I have to ask...

What Did Your Toddler Eat Today?

(After googling... Oh my god, I had these in the freezer for him and I didn't even know about the good bits added 🙈)

iliketomoveitmoveitMOVEIT your post cracked me up!

She's had toast, some spaghetti hoops, a yoghurt, a bit of sausage, a satsuma, some strawberries and a load of play doh. Oops.

reallyreallynow · 13/10/2018 19:55

@nowifi she'll eat vegetables eventually ....honestly!

Trinpy · 13/10/2018 19:58

My 2.6 year old had:

Breakfast:
small bowl of cereal
Bowl of porridge with honey

Lunch:
Pasta
Little cake

Dinner:
Lasagne with 5 types of vegetables mixed into the sauce to make up for the fact I hadn't given him any other fruit or veg today.
Strawberry yogurt.
Half cup of hot chocolate.

Esker · 13/10/2018 20:02

Toast with butter and marmite. Few bites of banana.

Spinach quiche (fed to him in bits whilst in buggy as we were wondering around the market doing food shopping and he decided lunch had to be NOW) ... followed by some extremely sugary Chelsea bun type confection when we went to a cafe.

Snack - birthday cake 🤦🏻‍♀️ (normally would have an Ella's pouch but it was his dads birthday)

Dinner: fish fingers, chips, a few (very few) peas, Petit filous

Kitkatmonster · 13/10/2018 20:06

2y/o

A couple of bites of croissant (breakfast)
A few bites of apple (mid morning snack with raisins below)
Half small box raisins.
Quarter tuna/cucumber sandwich (lunch with wotsits/banana).
Handful wotsits.
Half banana.
A few forkfuls of plain pasta with grated cheese (dinner with cucumber. Declined the accompanying garlic bread and homemade pizza).
Few slices cucumber.

RibenaMonsoon · 13/10/2018 20:07

Satsuma
Peanut butter on toast
Handful of peanuts
Half a pear
A few mini cheddars, sticks of cucumber and ham
Sausage with vegetables in rice with grated cheese and chick pea salad.

@AlphaBravo carrot pizzas are a staple item on our shopping list Grin. It’s my fail safe item, she will ALWAYS eat one of those! We have tried cauliflower base pizzas too, but she won’t eat those (they’re pretty cardboard-y in fairness).

bluechameleon · 13/10/2018 20:10

The 8mo is in that blissful stage of eating absolutely everything. He had porridge, apple, blueberries, strawberries and Greek yoghurt for breakfast. For lunch he had toasted cheese sandwich, red pepper and cucumber. Dinner was sausage and lentil casserole and roasted vegetables, then grapes for pudding.

The 4yo is a different kettle of fish. He won't eat anything with any sauce, only likes 2 veg and 2 salad veg, and about 5 meat/fish options. For breakfast he had a strawberry yoghurt, oat cheerios and strawberries. Lunch was cheese sandwich (not toasted) and a slice of cucumber. Dinner was plain sausages, roast potatoes and raw carrots and sweet corn. He had a small chocolate and some grapes for pudding. It doesn't sound too bad but if I was to give you his menu over a week it would be very repetitive.

puzzledlady · 13/10/2018 20:10

My 4 year old has had:

3 weetabix for breakfast
Cup of milk

Toast and bacon for lunch
Water

Gammon steak with mash potatoes
Bowl of fruits
Rice cakes
Yoghurt

2 year old has had the same except for the amount of weetabix. He had 2.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 13/10/2018 20:11

Breakfast- banana on toast, 2 yogurts.
Lunch- Cheese spread sandwich, crisps, apple. Didn't really eat much of the sandwich.
Snacks- banana, tangerine and a couple of cakes( throughout the day).
Tea- sausage, chips, gravy, peas from chippy.

Kraggle · 13/10/2018 20:12

My 18mo old has had today:

Three bowls of rice crispies
Apparently some skittles at her cousins
Slice of ham
Grapes
Frube
One bit of orange
More grapes
Tiny bag of chocolate buttons
About 2 homemade chicken nuggets then she refused the rest of the food on her plate and kept shouting for rice crispies so she had two more bowls of that.
Oh and another frube.

She’s teething and if I let her she would eat only rice crispies and grapes. I’m hoping it’s just a phase. Either that or she will eventually turn into a rice crispie.

Out for a lot of the day and weird map times so a very bad day for my 22 month old twins:

Slice of toast and marg with 50/50 bread and raspberries and strawberries

Organic date bar
Kids no added sugar yogurt
Strawberries
Half a digestive

Pasta with turkey meatballs and tomato sauce
Jelly and strawberries and raspberries

kaytee87 · 13/10/2018 20:14

As far as I can remember;

Breakfast: Toast & banana
Snack: tangerine
Lunch: quiche, pasta salad, cherry tomatoes & cucumber
Snack: Ella's kitchen carrot stick things
Dinner: sweet potato croquets, peppa pig pasta shapes (Blush) a sausage
Cup of milk before his bath.

EnglishRose13 · 13/10/2018 20:15

2.5 year old

Banana porridge
Banana
Raisins
Wotsits
Ham sandwich
Quavers
Yogurt
A bit of chocolate
A scoop of banana ice cream
A Ferrero Rocher

He's a bit under the weather so we've just let him pick at whatever he's fancied. He refused his tea.

GruffaloStick · 13/10/2018 20:16

Great thread, I feel bad for referring to mine as a fussy bugger earlier. Glad others have to bribe veg in too.

2 year old

Porridge with grated pear, sultana and cinnamon

Ham & cheese sandwich with cucumber. Sandwich dissected, crusts and some bread discarded.
Greek yoghurt with honey

Grapes

Baked cheesy cod with courgette and toms and diced roasted spuds. Was highly offended with the courgette.

Mini kinder bar

200ml milk

Owlettele · 13/10/2018 20:19

@Misstomrs can I ask where the animal biscuits are from?! LO is also dairy free and other multiple allergies.

MiniMaxi · 13/10/2018 20:22

2 year old had:

Breakfast - most of a Weetabix and about half a banana

Snack - one of those carrot cake bar things

Lunch - two sausages (chipolata sized ones), couscous and peas. Half an apple and some grapes.

Dinner - omelette, pot of fruit purée and some yoghurt.

Had loads of milk today (more than normal) as he was resisting his nap and we thought it might help (it didn’t!) - so perhaps fewer carbs than normal.

lexi727 · 13/10/2018 20:25

@GruffaloStick what is it about 2 year olds and being horrified by green vegetables?

mscockles · 13/10/2018 20:25

Excellent thread- I've been worried that my 13 mo isn't eating enough. He's definitely on par with the others his age in this thread, in rejecting lots and enjoying things off the floor Grin

TakeMe2Insanity · 13/10/2018 20:27

2 year old(3 in December)

Breakfast (still trying to work our pressure king pro, so porridge failure) so 1 piece of toast with peanut butter and milk
After activity
Box raisins
Small bar

Lunch
Cheese croissant
Crisps
Ice cream and cone
Individual packet of kids biscuits

Dinner
The now salavaged porridge with peanut butter
Blueberries
Milk

God this looks awful. Essentially we have allowed him to carb load today. He and us normally eat a lot better.

socksortights · 13/10/2018 20:31

My DD is 2.5 and seemed extra hungry today!

Breakfast - porridge

Snack - a small banana and a few slices of apple

Lunch - toddler sized jacket potato with cheese and cucumber slices

Tea - chopped cheese, ham, tomatoes and a dairy lee dunker (Saturday picnic tea) and a little yogurt.

Orlande · 13/10/2018 20:32

13 month old
Bowl of cheerios
Leftover chilli con carne, toast and grapes
Half a biscuit and a bite of doughnut
Cheese, ham, crackers, a banana and a fromage frais
4 bottles of milk (usually 3 but woke very early!)
