Following on from 'Chicken nugget-gate' on the other thread 😉 and the popularity of the "What did you eat today" thread. I have to ask...

What Did Your Toddler Eat Today?

OP posts:
Naschkatze · 13/10/2018 17:06

This thread is making me feel so much better, thanks OP!

19 month old DS
Breakfast: 1/2 croissant, a mouthful of pear (refused toast and banana)
Snack: grapes, cubes of cheese and 1/2 a cupcake
Lunch: Refused pasta with homemade tomato sauce and roasted veg. Ate cheese, some breadsticks and some organix crisps...
Snack: fruit smoothie, raisins.
Dinner: about to be pizza and chips because the chicken didn't defrost in time. He probably won't eat that either (apart from the ketchup) and will have yoghurt. 🙄

He used to be so good...

HenryInTheTunnel · 13/10/2018 17:08

Mine had:

B- porridge

L- tuna sandwich which mostly went on the floor, oaty bar and half a banana

D - fish pie followed by yoghurt

MrsRachel85 · 13/10/2018 17:10

DS age 2

Breakfast
Yoghurt
Cereal (hardly touched)

Snack
Strawberries
Yoghurt raisins
Cracker with peanut butter (only one bite)

Lunch
Apple slices
Clementine
Soreen bar
Offered bread and butter but didn’t want

DM gave him lollipop and pringles 🙈

Dinner will probably be chicken nuggets and chips

BiscuitsAndGravy · 13/10/2018 17:19

A sausage, some toast and a pot of plain yogurt for breakfast.

Fish fingers and peas for lunch

Asparagus and a beef and onion pie for dinner

Not great, I know but we just got back from holiday and our Tesco delivery is tomorrow morning Blush

123dawn · 13/10/2018 17:24

Breakfast: cornflakes
Snack: satsuma
Lunch: pitta bread, melon, falafel, grapes, cucumber
Snack: 2 bourbon biscuits
Tea: chicken enchiladas

monkerina · 13/10/2018 17:29

2.5yo DS

Breakfast
Big bowl of porridge with a couple of raisins
Small bowl shredded wheat minis with splash milk

Lunch (went to a reasonably healthy caff and he ate off our plates)
1.75ish slices thick white toast
Quite a lot of beans
Half a sausage
Bit of egg
Half a hash brown
Few bits of bacon
Glass of milk

Dinner (normally his lunch menu but he asked for it)
Wholemeal roll, buttered
Mature cheddar chunks
Slice ham
Cherry tomatoes
Sugar free jelly pot

He's also had a babyccino (just warm milk, doesn't like marshmallows or chocolate, nutter) and a banana as snacks. Bottomless pit at the moment but definite bread preference over other carbs. He does eat a lot of pasta too.

monkerina · 13/10/2018 17:33

@lunafreya mcDs fries (occasionally ikea chips too) are the only potatoes DS will contemplate too 😂

AlphaBravo · 13/10/2018 18:16

@MrTrebus his fish fingers went on the floor and the dog ate them so he had 2 'Hungry Heroes' chicken nuggets and some blueberry porridge 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope your toddler has better taste 😂

@Naschkatze me too! I'm deffo glad I started it now 😊

I've officially cancelled dinner now and going to order in a curry instead as a treat (when MiniAlpha goes to bed!)

My god this makes me feel better, my 2yo will not eat fruit and only 2 veggies.

Breakfast was one bowl weetabix one bowl bran flakes

Snack one of those goodies bars

Lunch at soft play-rejected chicken ate pea and a few chips

Snack at someone else’s house was oatcakes

Tea of pasta with sweetcorn peas sausage and cheese nearly all rejected

Milk before bed

Amanduh · 13/10/2018 18:40

Milk
A cheddar stick
Raisins
Ham
A cracker
An apple
Half a sausage
Peas
Broccoli

Mainly bits of meals! He’s going through a picky phase. 22 months

Lilsquish · 13/10/2018 18:59

Nearly 2 year old girl:

B: 1 weetabix
L: Cheese sandwich and veg soup
D: Scrambled eggs
S: Grapes and Banana

she eats well just now but im starting to see hints of fussy eating appearing....... :-@

thenewaveragebear1983 · 13/10/2018 19:04

Today Ds (3) has eaten

2 slices of toast with butter and bovril
2 chipolata sausages
Homemade ginger bread (never normally Make homemade but they were rejects from the pta fundraiser yesterday!)
2 cups weak squash

Chicken, pepper, tomato, cheese
Yogurt

2 fishfingers
Was offered pasta and veg but was throwing a howler and would only eat the fish fingers (and was told they were chicken nuggets)
Another homemade gingerbread
Cup of very dilute hot choc (mostly milk) as big Ds and dd have had some

Today is not typical though- normally we don’t have biscuits except on Sunday, and he would normally eat more fruit but we need to go shopping! He is not the best eater unfortunately.

Fizzyhedgehog · 13/10/2018 19:05

DS - 21 months
Breakfast- some blueberries (the egg and toast, which he normally loves are apparently "yuck")
While food shopping (could be called snack) - four Babybel
Lunch - couldn't be arsed...slept through
Late snack after swimming - yoghurt pouch
Dinner - three portions of pasta with pesto, half a fig

He is still breastfeeding and apparently eats really well at nursery. He's on the 98th centile, so hardly starving.

DuploRelatedInjury · 13/10/2018 19:09

DD2 (14mo) is a nightmare compared to DD1 was at this age. However DD1 is now even fussier than DD2.

Breakfast: 1 pikelet. Served with decorative raisins.

Second breakfast (when DD1 got up): banana.

Dinner: leftover hidden veg pizza (examined thoroughly but not eaten) DD1s cheese cubes and about 3 of DD1s quavers. Cut up grapes rejected, fruit smoothie pouch eaten.

Snack: Ella's kitchen hoops. A coconut ring and a bite of daddy's Jaffa cake.

Tea: some of a turkey dinosaur, potato waffle and massive pile of peas and sweet corn eaten one by one (as DD1 was having). One little angels fromage frais, half eaten, half worn.

BF several times. I want to wean her, she doesn't agree.

CarrieBlu · 13/10/2018 19:19

Our (very tired and grumpy) 27 month old has eaten....

Breakfast:
2 slices of butter and marmite on seedy bread
Handful of cornflakes

Snack:
2 of those kiddilicious wafers.
Packet of chocolate stars to get her to leave the park without a complete meltdown Blush

Lunch:
Pretty much rejected the broccoli and leek cheesy pasta bake. Didnt want anything else.

Afternoon snack:
A cold leftover veggie sausage and a banana.

Dinner:
1 of those carrot pizzas from Tesco - counts as one of your five a day so I love to sit and watch smugly whilst she devours them. A few chips. Refused the baked beans.

5 large strawberries and a handful of raisins.

This thread has made me feel a lot better about her eating habits. We try to get more vegetables into her diet but usually fail miserably. She’s vegetarian by choice, completely refuses all meat (DH and I eat meat), but she also hates most vegetables. I hate mealtimes.

lexi727 · 13/10/2018 19:29

2 year old DS has eaten:

Weetabix
Some strawberries and blueberries

1 round of whole meal toast with beans
A yogurt

Half an apple

Fish pie
Rice pudding

Bottle of milk

DeadButDelicious · 13/10/2018 19:31

DD is almost two, today she has eaten:

Porridge with fruit purée
Wholemeal toast with spread

So. Many. Sweet potato fries.
Nuggets (which she did not eat)
Some crispy puff things
A purée veg pouch (it is literally the only way to get veg in her, if you give it whole she just throws it. Also it has to come out of the pouch onto a spoon as well, mummy best not be putting it in no bowls. That shit does not fly. But the way I see it whilst not ideal, vegetables go in, so win.)

Crisp breads with houmous
Some more crispy puff things
Another veg pouch
Greek yogurt with fruit purée
Biscuit.

Disclaimer: We persist with a more varied diet and these things are offered to her.

Peacockfeathers789 · 13/10/2018 19:37

Grazing 28month old here

In no particular order!

10oz milk
Porridge
Cheese
Greek yoghurt
Bowl of blueberries
Mini cheddars
Potato waffles
Apple
Peach
Scrambled eggs and beans

BookWormsRule · 13/10/2018 19:38

18m DS today has had

Breakfst - scrambled eggs, 1 piece of toast and a banana

Lunch - beans with a cheese and tomato quesadilla (only ate a little of the quesadilla) and cucumber sticks

Dinner - chicken and butternut squash risotto with veg

Snacks - granola bar, babybel and yogurt

He’s definitely about to shoot up because he’s a bottomless pit at the moment - was stealing eggs off his dad’s plate at breakfast

Getoffthetableplease · 13/10/2018 19:43

2 year old has had:

Homemade waffle (just flour, butter, milk and vanilla)
A handful of pom bears
Two bites of a tuna and cucumber wrap
Two babybels
Two small oranges
Half a slice of toast with beans
Two small cookies
Small bowl of grapes

A day of twos it seems! Not much in the way of fruit or veg today. Just one of those days. I'd like to think he balances out over the course of a week both in the amount of food he has and how healthy it is, but he's still at that glorious unpredictable age Grin

SnappyFarter · 13/10/2018 19:47

Just-turned-two DD ate:
Weetabix with banana
Half a slice of jam on toast

Bread sticks with hummus

Minestrone soup with bread
Satsuma

2 biscuits at soft play

Crackers and a minuscule amount of beef stew
Yogurt

Not the best day but she did voluntarily eat the veg in the minestrone Star She would happily exist on bread, fruit and yogurt

Shelby1981 · 13/10/2018 19:47

Breakfast
Banana
Yoghurt
Cereal
Some of daddy's toast

Lunch at pizza express
Doughballs
Half a kids chicken pizza
Ice lolly
Babycino

Organix bar

Tea
Pasta shapes & sausages in tomato sauce out of a tin

Milk before bed

There would normally be lots more snacks but he had massive breakfast and lunch today. He's 2

Iwantamarshmallow · 13/10/2018 19:48

BF- A bowl of porridge and whole milk
Snack -OJ
L- Chicken Nugget Happy Meal and a Fruit Shoot
Snack - Crisp and a soft drink
Dinner - Wholemeal pasta and tomato sause with cherry tomatoes and a little cheese
Treat- mini marshmallows

I know im going to hell but considering DC damanded cheesy pasta at every meal it wasn't as bad as it could have been...

AlphaBravo · 13/10/2018 19:49

@CarrieBlu what is a carrot pizza?! 😮

OP posts:
deptfordgirl · 13/10/2018 19:49
