To think the tide is turning with transgenderism

There have been a flood of articles in mainstream newspapers criticising transgenderism and putting forward the feminist perspective. It is not long ago that no mainstream newspaper would carry these articles. The tide seems to be turning.

Verbeena where did you read that Danielle Muscato can't take hormones for medical reasons?

Nobody is saying there shouldn't be a trans day of remembrance either. In fact people have said you can have at. What people have said however is that you need to be consistent and having a remembrance day is inconsistent with the rest of the trans gender rights narrative.

CaligulaBlushed · 11/10/2018 19:37

@PlantsArePeopleToo where's that tenner? Stonewall are waiting.

Ask Pimmms Datun, she posted it earlier on this thread.

VerbeenaBeeks · 11/10/2018 19:38

Someone mentioned her, I thought it was the same person as I googled a while back. When double checked as you said it wasn't, I looked up and realised it was Danielle too same as the other person. So immediately clarified. Should have known better not to though, should have known it would get twisted and the shit we see you thrown out

Datun · 11/10/2018 19:38

Muscato did claim they couldn't take hormones for medical reasons. But they claimed an awful lot of other stuff that was very dodgy, too.

I believe they've said they're attracted to women, but also asexual. (Although I'm sure someone will tell me you can easily be both those things at the same time and there's no contradiction).

PlantsArePeopleToo · 11/10/2018 19:38

Don't get ahead of yourself there Verbeena. You still haven't answered my other two easy questions yet.

Singlenotsingle · 11/10/2018 19:40

Anyone seen the case of Karen White, transgender woman put in a female prison after 2 sexual assaults (carried out while still a man). KW then raped two female inmates, and has now been gaoled for life in a male prison.

VerbeenaBeeks · 11/10/2018 19:40

Don't get ahead of yourself there Verbeena. You still haven't answered my other two easy questions yet.

Ahead of myself? What, because I actually wasn't making it up, I had read it somewhere?
You think I want to engage further when it's twisty twisty, attack, we see you?
No.

PlantsArePeopleToo · 11/10/2018 19:41

You haven't actually explained how Danielle Muscato is a woman yet caligula. You've just given a very wishy washy answer that is also potentially transphobic and trans exclusionary.

BigChocFrenzy · 11/10/2018 19:41

Yes, datun I have no right to agree on behalf on other women
I can state my opinion; you state yours
and we have a debate, we try to produce facts, neither of us gets angry

BigChocFrenzy · 11/10/2018 19:42

People often disagree with me strongly on MN:
about Brexit, abortion, politics
Things I care about very passionately

That's their right to post and I don't feel violated by it, or start shaking
(even if I did, they certainly wouldn't stop posting ! )

It's only if you live in an echo chamber that you have such extreme reactions to opposing, but perfectly legal, views

CosmicCanary · 11/10/2018 19:43

KW is currently in Armley a male only holding prison.
Hated the fact the Look North called him she but tbf niether news reader seemed impressed. Richard Garside was great Grin

7Days · 11/10/2018 19:43

I wish you'd answer and explain your reasoning instead of spending the last few hours saying theirs no point.
I would like to understand your p ov.

PlantsArePeopleToo · 11/10/2018 19:44

Also how do we know Danielle is legally a woman? Do they have a GRC (or whatever the US equivalent is)?

Louislovesmud · 11/10/2018 19:45

What on Earth is this "we see you" nonsense? Can anyone explain?

VerbeenaBeeks · 11/10/2018 19:47

It's the personal attack pile ons if you disagree, maybe you're fine with fuck off we see you's, and all the other stuff as well. Good for you if so. Ever had it? Started as the usual names from over there have now come over.
I don't live in any echo chamber Confused I prefer out here in the main boards as there's more viewpoints that aren't all the same.

Fraula · 11/10/2018 19:49

'Legally a woman' is a phrase that shouldn't even make sense Confused

VerbeenaBeeks · 11/10/2018 19:50

What on Earth is this "we see you" nonsense? Can anyone explain?

They're cleverly Hmm calling out that I'm a man, a trans right activist, or whatever because I dare to disagree.
Even though I'm a woman (the "right" type even by their standards They "see" me. Hmm )

Biscuit biscuit not aimed at you by the way lol, was happy to answer Smile

Earlywalker · 11/10/2018 19:51

What on Earth is this "we see you" nonsense? Can anyone explain?

Their way of implying your a man/spy/TRA.

Easier than them actually physically saying it, because then they can deny they do it.

Louislovesmud · 11/10/2018 19:51

Thanks @VerbeenaBeeks I usually skip the trans threads so hadn't seen it before

Louislovesmud · 11/10/2018 19:52

Thanks @Earlywalker

What an utter shite way of being a keyboard warrior

CaligulaBlushed · 11/10/2018 19:53

plantsarepeople reminds me never to play cards with you.

Verbeena don't give them the headspace. This sinister and disturbing "we see you" nonsense is women at their very worst. It really is creepy, insidious and passive aggressive. They may see you, but we've got you sister.

VerbeenaBeeks · 11/10/2018 19:53

Easier than them actually physically saying it, because then they can deny they do it.

Yep, this. Not so hidden put down to put you in your place. Can deny they're attacking as people don't always see it.

7Days · 11/10/2018 19:53

You don't 'dare ' make sense, more like, verbeena.

BigChocFrenzy · 11/10/2018 19:54

Verbena Has anyone called you a man here ?
If so, please give the approximate time of the post and I'll report

I didn't notice handmaiden or MRA on this thread either

TRA would actually be reasonable and not insulting, as you obviously support trans rights very vigorously
