to ask if you wear leggings?

My DH keeps making comments about my leggings - he says things like "are all your other clothes in the wash?"

I always wear a longish, flowy top which covers my hips and bum. When I ask him why he's making these comments he just says he's joking and I need to get a sense of humour!

No. Horrid, sloppy-looking things, and the minute you've washed them once, they start to lose their colour and bag on the knees or thighs, making them look even worse.

Not so. If this is happening to you, then you must either be putting them on the wrong setting when you put them in the washing machine, OR you are buying ones that are poor quality.

I have 5 pairs that are from Peacocks and Next. They were all £8 to £15 a pair, and despite washing each pair around 10 to 15 times each since I got them about a year ago, they all look like new still.

DH likes my arse in leggings too. Likes the feel of them, and the look. I do have a fantastic arse though!

Though me wearing them is nothing to do with that. I wear them because I want to. It's a bonus that he likes me in them too.

I workout for an average of 3 hours a day so I live in leggings during the winter. Mind my leggings are expensive, funky workout leggings like these

At least 50% of my outfits involve leggings but always the sports kind, never thin cotton see-through types. My look is very much ‘sports casual’ 😂

I do wear leggings but only for yoga and pilates classes. I have legs that make me look like Max Wall (anyone old enough to remember him!) I definitely don't have knees that look good in leggings. I'm 67 so maybe I never will.

Sounds like he doesn’t like your leggings, but it’s totally up to you what you wear

I love leggings there all I wear when I'm not at work! Can't think of anything worse than jeans or trousers to chill out in!!

Maybe he just wishes you'd dress up a bit more rather than wear leggings all the time? Which are only slightly better than wearing jogging bottoms or PJ's on the casual level.

I wear all black 90% of the time so I'm not bothered or surprised when my husband asks if I can dress in something other than funeral wear.

I usually wear a short dress and leggings. I wouldn't wear them under anything shorter though.

I have some lovely thermal leggings which I'm looking forward to wearing soon. I tend to mostly wear them under kilts or similar rather than just paired with a shirt, but then I tend to dress in as many layers as possible even when just home relaxing. I would not be pleased if my spouse commented on my clothes like the OP's did and probably respond similarly.

My older daughter also loves her leggings and bought some really brightly coloured ones at a charity shop recently and she wears hers with everything she can.

I only wear them to go to the gym in. I like them on other people but can't seem to pull them off myself

I wear leggings. I try not to give much of a shit if people do or don’t like them. Incidentally DH quite likes them but I suspect that he rather likes the ones where you can see my pants that really ARE only worn when I have no other clothes clean 😂😂

I wear leggings but only ever black ones and only with tops/dresses that cover my bum. At the moment I'm pregnant and massive and tend to live in them.

Normally I'm a size 12/14 but I do have big legs.

I don't like leggings myself.

Ages ago, I was meeting some friends for dinner straight after work, and forgot to bring a change of clothes. "No problem" my friend said when I texted her, "we're the same size, I'll bring you something and you can get changed there".

When I arrived she presented me with black leggings and a vest top . I felt so uncomfortable, I probably had a camel toe .

I wear leggings, I'm fat and if I am walking any great distance then jeans and tights give me damn chub rub - leggings offer me relief until I lose this weight!

Just bought a couple of amazing work out pairs that are too good for working out so will be wearing them every day with their matching zip up tops and trainers. Cost an arm and a leg but I know I’ll wear them forever

I wear leggings, they are the most comfortable clothes ever, I wear suits for work, so find leggings comfy to change into. I make sure everything is covered though.

I wear mine like this. As you can see, I'm not the slimmest person in the world!

I wear them every day. Some leggings are strictly pj/loungewear leggings, but plain black ones are for running errands in, or going out and about in.

I even wear them with a t shirt so my arse is fully uncovered - I'm not bothered! I'm still dressed and reasonably covered up! (No one needs to see these pasty ginger white legs)

And I prefer tight leggings to baggy saggy trackies (nothing against them, the knees on mine seem to go baggy quickly out of the wash and look ridiculous after wearing them for half an hour)

I refuse to wear jeans. They're so restrictive and hard!! My uniform is leggings, t shirt, vest top or long top and if people can see my knicks then good for them I'm too busy to care. Nae body ever says shit to me. Good thing is, winter is coming, so my lard-ass-legging-ness will be covered up by long jumpers and coats

Honesrly, I thought leggings were my fat costume. I just lost 7 stone and I still wear them. They are super comfy, practical and go with so much. Your husband sounds mean!
