To not get Bella Hadid?

I was vaguely aware of her the last couple of years, but thought she was a glamorous, extremely well-preserved older lady, maybe in her 40s.
I've just seen that she is 21! Nothing wrong with being 40 (I am myself) but I wouldn't have wanted to look it when I was barely out of my teens. My point being that she has had plastic surgery to look that way.
Am I the only one who finds it a bit weird?

Bella is absolutely beautiful Sad She looks her age she doesn't look in her 40s. And she has an amazing figure and can pull off any clothes she wants. I'm in my 20s and I wish I had her looks.

ConfessionsOfTeenageDramaQueen · 04/10/2018 12:55

Havent RTFT but I completely agree. Gigi is gorgeous - although imho still doesn't look like a 'model', just a very pretty girl - but Bella just looks really unnatural and I don't get how she - along with other vaguely pretty but nothing special girls like Kendall Jenner - have shoved themselves into the modelling world. The one person I will give credit to is Cara Delevingne who really does look like a model.

MsHopey · 04/10/2018 13:06

I suppose we can all fight all day but it seems "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is very accurate as there seem to be lots of conflicting opinions, which is to be expected.
Some people love 70s models, some people love 90s models, some people love Bella Hadid and Kylie Jenner.
I like it when women have a naturally interesting face, I feel that's more beautiful than the girl next door.
But each go their own.

LemonLimerance · 04/10/2018 13:06

I guess what we can take away from this thread is that people perceive others very very differently!

bellahadidhere sorry to be rude darling, rest easy knowing we’d all love to look like you for a day x

Thanks @LemonLimerance

I am aware I look a bit like a satellite dish, it's just a bit hard to read that's all Sad

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 04/10/2018 13:14

They're all just so generic these days

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 04/10/2018 13:16

That 'Baldwin chick ' Grin is the most surprising one. She's nothing special at all. Unbelievable. I see better looking kids on old Kent road

KingscoteStaff · 04/10/2018 13:18

And why are both sisters in the Evening Standard ALL THE TIME?????

Atalune · 04/10/2018 13:21

It’s the worst keep secret that she’s had lots of work done.

Whisky2014 · 04/10/2018 13:37

No evidence that I can see of Bella Hadid having 'work' done to her face
Er except for the fact her nose has actually changed shape..

Bella Hadid has come out in interviews and said she has never had any work done on her face. I don't know where these posters are getting their information from. I suppose it makes a better story.

No, we have eyes.

ShirleyPhallus · 04/10/2018 14:18

Bella Hadid has come out in interviews and said she has never had any work done on her face

Just like when Kylie said she hadn’t had lip fillers or Renee Zellwegger said she hadn’t had surgery but had just “aged”?

serbska · 04/10/2018 14:39

Bella Hadid Looks like a 30 or 40 year old who has plastic survery. What a waste of a 21 year old's youth.

Bella Hadid has come out in interviews and said she has never had any work done on her face

LOL

AngeloMysterioso · 04/10/2018 14:42

Bella Hadid has come out in interviews and said she has never had any work done on her face

Well if she says it then it must be true...

Miggeldy · 04/10/2018 14:48

Christy Turlington, 'achingly beautiful', really? she just looks like a normal person to me.

You're blind.

To not get Bella Hadid?
Menalight · 04/10/2018 14:54

Miggle - Luckily I am not blind. Are you always so rude when someones view doesn't match yours?

MarshaBradyo · 04/10/2018 14:57

There’s more diversity and interesting faces today than back then which is good

RonniePickering · 04/10/2018 15:03

Menalight, you’re the only one who quoted “achingly” beautiful, no one else said it!

I agree she is jaw-dropping beautiful, the best looking on that Vogue cover imo.

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 04/10/2018 15:03

Just googled and found this link Shockhttps://www.independent.ie/style/beauty/bella-hadid-says-shes-scared-of-cosmetic-surgery-i-wouldnt-want-to-mess-up-my-face-36967638.html

ShirleyPhallus · 04/10/2018 15:04

I mean, I’m looking at that picture and she looks nice. But I don’t ache anywhere.

The three on the left could do some sort of asbo-youth group, they don’t look even remotely pretty there

CrazySheepLady · 04/10/2018 15:25

I just had to look her up!

I think she definitely looks older than she really is and she's lost her naturally pretty look, which is a shame.

malificent7 · 04/10/2018 15:41

Wow...the bar for feminine beauty has been raised really high these days!!
She looks great but Gigi is even more stunning.

extremelymaturecheese · 04/10/2018 16:29

Ahh, the nineties and its supermodels. Heroin chic and all that.

I remember the days when Kate Moss was being lambasted for looking altogether too thin and plain. Wasn't the Croydon Facelift (really, really tight hair tied back) her supposed 'thing'?

Also, I remember when people were mocking Claudia Schiffer for having big feet which in one particular car commercial, had been edited out / shrunk to keep her in proportion.

Pamela Anderson was infamous for her cleavage assistance and got grief for that too.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Grin

I just hope Bella doesn't get busted for allegedly selling cocaine or accepting blood diamonds from African dictators like some nineties supermodels.

Personally, I'm over the heavily contoured / plastic look and am genuinely looking forward to the next in concept of beauty.

LemonLimerance · 04/10/2018 16:36

“Ahh, the nineties and its supermodels. Heroin chic and all that.”

I mean I guess heroin chic happened in the 90s but when people talk about “The Supers” they’re talking about the cleaner-cut, Versace-closing, George Michael lip-syncing early 90s models.

Kate Moss came later and heralded the more quirky, less “pretty” models. She was also quite short for a model. But very cool and extremely photogenic.

I never really got the Christy Turlington thing... yes she’s amazing looking but she always looked like she was wearing a set of false teeth to me somehow

extremelymaturecheese · 04/10/2018 16:53

Good point Lemon.

I'm fascinated with this crop because the entire lip / cheek filler / veneers thing is so well, in your face, nowadays. I just wonder what models will look like by 2030 for people to get nostalgic for the ones of today.

But no, I totally agree with your original point that she has made herself look older than she really is. I thought it was a stretch when they stuck her in a Victoria Secret show.

SilverySurfer · 04/10/2018 17:25

I think their mother, Yolanda, is more beautiful than Bella or her sister.
