To not get Bella Hadid?

I was vaguely aware of her the last couple of years, but thought she was a glamorous, extremely well-preserved older lady, maybe in her 40s.
I've just seen that she is 21! Nothing wrong with being 40 (I am myself) but I wouldn't have wanted to look it when I was barely out of my teens. My point being that she has had plastic surgery to look that way.
Am I the only one who finds it a bit weird?

I read somewhere once that her sister (Gigi?) was very hairy (fine fluffy hair) up close due to the lack of food , and and also had very smelly breath because of ketosis. Oh the glamour.

LemonLimerance · 03/10/2018 21:31

racecar I really want you to post a picture of your face now!
Also agree with another poster who said she looks like Morticia Addams - amazing character, and not a 21 year old!

I feel bad joining in the bitching but go on then.

I hadn't heard of Bella Hadid but just Google her and I know what you mean about the well preserved 40-something I think she definitely looks like she's into her 30s but pulling it off well. She might look a bit nicer if she smiled. Plus don't her friends see her and think "I'm fed up of seeing your tits love"

I looked at the before and after cosmetic surgery photo and I don't think it looks like she's had anything major done to her face (fillers and botox aside) but she probably has had a boob job.

Bluntness100 · 03/10/2018 21:33

Gosh what a nasty thread, you even posted a pic of her as a Teen. She clearly is only 21 now.

What is wrong in your life when you feel the need to start threads like this about another woman?

It's something I will never understand.

TatianaLarina · 03/10/2018 21:34

Major nose surgery.

It was fine before now it looks borderline Michael Jackson.

Bluntness100 · 03/10/2018 21:35

And reported.

Threads started to slag off another woman are simply appalling.

thenightsky · 03/10/2018 21:35

Yes, her mum was very sick with Lyme disease too. She was the one who said that Bella and her brother also had it and were being treated.

Whisky2014 · 03/10/2018 21:35

Ah didnt realise that.

LemonLimerance · 03/10/2018 21:35

You're probably right Bluntness

I'm in bed after having surgery and really really bored. But no excuse really.

Ironically after looking at so many photos of her now I'm starting to quite like her face Confused

Has your knee stopped jerking yet, Bluntness? Ridiculous individual.

KC225 · 03/10/2018 21:36

I love her look. Very 70s high fashion when made up. Very Christine Ferrate, Lauren Hutton

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 03/10/2018 21:37

I am not a fan of the current crop of rich kids who’ve become famous for having excessive plastic surgery and wearing little clothing in public.

Nor is Naomi Campbell who made a very funny bitchy comment about them all attending an ‘icons’ party recently Grin

Beamur · 03/10/2018 21:37

FabulousTomatoes yep, agree with you. Some models are very striking and have much more character in their faces, others less so.,I guess there are a range of looks as different features, colouring, etc are preferred for different jobs, designers etc.
I used to know a woman who was a hand model, you wouldn't know she was a model from her height or face (pretty, but normal looking) but she had lovely, elegant hands.

Whisky2014 · 03/10/2018 21:38

What is the nastiness? Talking about how someone looks? :s they went through surgery to alter their appearance, i think its fair game to day if thr nose job is good or not. She's setting an example to girls on how they "should" look

LemonLimerance · 03/10/2018 21:38

"Today 21:35 Bluntness100

And reported.

Ah, come on. Think you're laying it on a bit thick now. I've repeatedly said she's glamorous, has a great figure. I just think she looks older than she is and I find it a strange thing to aspire to as someone so young.

LimitIsUp · 03/10/2018 21:38

Uggh, I agree with thisneverendingsummer

TatianaLarina · 03/10/2018 21:39

Oh get over yourself Bluntness. You’re quite happy bitching about women you perceive as dowdy or needy, whatever.

PurpleRobe · 03/10/2018 21:40

I think she is very average (maybe even below avg) looking. And agree she looks older than her age (for whatever reason)

The brother is very below avg. No idea why he is a model ... other than nepotism in the industry

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 03/10/2018 21:41

It's not appropriate to bitch about women who haven't had work.

As soon as you make your vanity an issue then unfortunately you run the risk of people have an opinon.
And it's just as true for men- think Claude van dame, mickey Rouke, Mick Jagger, Trump , all get their looks slagged off repeatedly.

Bluntness100 · 03/10/2018 21:41

Nope. I don't like it. I get your trying to soften it, but this is a thread with the sole purpose of slagging of a woman for her looks.

And no apologies here, it's not ok. If it's ok with you, then you crack on, but I make no apologies for standing up and saying it's not ok for me.

Time women stopped judging other women on their looks.

Whisky2014 · 03/10/2018 21:42

There definitely is threads about male celebs...cliff richard, elton John etc

Whisky2014 · 03/10/2018 21:44

No it wasnt. It was a thread stating the op didnt understand what the big deal is. So what? Just stop trying to make this a bigger issue than it actually is.

TatianaLarina · 03/10/2018 21:45

Time women stopped judging other women on their looks.

That also includes women you perceive to be ‘fat’ or ‘frumpy’ or ‘middle aged’...

If you’re going to take the moral high ground you need a clean slate of your own.

AngeloMysterioso · 03/10/2018 21:46

Bluntness.

This is a woman who deliberately pursued a career which puts her in the public eye, and which is based on her looks (and had a great deal of surgery to further facilitate that career), and you’re getting upset that members of the public are commenting on her looks?!

LemonLimerance · 03/10/2018 21:46

Fair enough Bluntness. You're right, the world isn't really a better place for this thread being in it.

Having said that -

"Time women stopped judging other women on their looks."

AIBU to think that, for better or worse, humans will simply never ever stop judging each other by their looks?
