To not get Bella Hadid?

I was vaguely aware of her the last couple of years, but thought she was a glamorous, extremely well-preserved older lady, maybe in her 40s.
I've just seen that she is 21! Nothing wrong with being 40 (I am myself) but I wouldn't have wanted to look it when I was barely out of my teens. My point being that she has had plastic surgery to look that way.
Am I the only one who finds it a bit weird?

I just find them so blah compared to the 90s supermodels. Those women were beautiful, but also had really individual and striking looks. Like Claudia is so traditionally pretty, whereas Linda was pretty but so strong looking too. They also seemed to command attention and have personalities (especially Naomi!). Both Hadids and Kendall Jenner are obviously pretty but I just personally don’t see the supermodel spark in them. In Kendall especially.

If Kendall (with her original face) were not Kendall Jenner and was just a regular girl stacking shelves in Tesco, nobody would have looked at her twice. Same for Bella. And that Baldwin chick. The only one with a naturally striking face is Gigi.

I think there is something to be said for the lack of character compared to the 90s but modelling has changed a lot. Probably late moss kicked that off. From the Amazonian princesses to the girl next door

It’s become more less about personality and more about - are you tall enough,thin enough, photogenic enough. Kendall is both of those things and they ARE unusual. It’s not about being beautiful or even pretty. Look at the indentikit Russian 15 year olds being churned our year after year.

There's something bland about this crop of models. I can't see anything quirky like Kate Moss or jaw droppingly beautiful like Christy Turlington about them. It's sad that rich parents and plastic surgery can start their careers.

Gigi was the cutest baby, she is beautiful but she has steadily confirmed to the model figure. There’s no way she would have been accepted initially if not known.

I do find it interesting that despite all the talk of hard work when the next progeny comes along they take over.

Have no idea who she is. She looks normal in the first pic. The one of her in that silver outfit makes her look like a robot out of that show Humans. Looks like she’s in her 30s to me.

Re the 90s model thing, while they were pretty it’s all a bit rose tinted specs isn’t it

They were any prettier than, say, the Victoria’s Secret models are now.

I do think Kendall is beautiful actually. But supermodels aren’t really even meant to be beautiful - look at people like lily cole.

Poor girl! What kind of pressure must these wee girls be under to want to change their face so irrevocably. In this case - she has made herself look almost exactly like Jennifer Lawrence.

@Racecardriver I have a young/old face as well. I can look anywhere between 20 and 40.

As for Bella, she has absolutely ruined her nose.

There’s no denying she’s attractive, but she does look like a 30 something who’s had surgery to look 20 but hasn’t quite pulled it off.

She is a very beautiful young woman, I don't get the 'looking 40' bit, she's 21 and looks that. Some people at 40 still look much the same.

No evidence that I can see of Bella Hadid having 'work' done to her face. She is a model, therefore she looks after herself and wears make up. Her face is lovely. Bone structure so good she will still look lovely in years to come.

She was plain as a pie crust and wanted to be (quite) pretty like her sister, a lot like Kylie Jenner, she was the plain one out and now she just looks bizarre.

Bella Hadid has come out in interviews and said she has never had any work done on her face. I don't know where these posters are getting their information from. I suppose it makes a better story.
