Has anyone been to a psychic who has told them something that has come true?

Just that really, years ago I went to see two different psychics about a couple of years apart and they have got things quite close to the mark, somethings that even I did not volunteer!

I am quite skeptical, so I tend to go into these meetings with an attitude of trying to be as poker faced as possible.

The last one I went to see said I would have a little girl, and twins!

I’ve recently had a little girl so she got that right! I know not that much of a coincidence! I keep joking with my oh saying it will be twins next time!

So, my partner thinks it’s a whole load of rubbish, I don’t, I try to keep an open mind!

Not really AIBU but would like to hear stories from other people about things coming true or not true and opinions about whether people believe there is something in it?

Xx

Would inherit 3 figure sum from a blind person. Didnt know any blind people at time.
There are others too.
This was a family friend not someone who charged for their services

BertrandRussell From reading this thread, I've come to the conclusion that had your Peter Wimsey example happened in real life, the "psychic" would still have been right for many people:
The will (whilst in the safe) was next to the bureau... beside the bed... in the bedroom/ blue room... below a painting of boat etc. so they were correct about B!

It seems people really want to believe, and massage the "messages" to fit the facts. I can sort of understand this: it must be reassuring to some to think that there's further life after death; to think that their deceased loved ones are "OK" and sending them messages.
But how anyone thinks the future can be foretold is beyond me.

It seems that at least half of the posters on this thread seem to "believe" in psychic mediumship. I genuinely find this pretty depressing.

Cookies- you're right. The combination of the safe was written in a book!

My best friends mum went to a psychic who told her not to go on a holiday she was booked to go on with her partner. That her kids were going to get ill/go to hospital.

Her kids (who were young adults) told her not to be silly and to go on holiday.

Her son was killed in a motor accident whilst she was away, she was absolutely devastated.

I've never been to one as I would rather live my life no knowing. But part of me because of this, believes x

When my mum was pregnant with me, my dad, who was a Special Constable, went out to the local gypsy camp. Whilst he was there, one of the older ladies (who reputedly had 'the sight') approached him and said 'Your wife is pregnant - the baby will be born next Wednesday, and will be a girl with dark brown eyes and brown hair' - and she was spot on.

She didn't know Dad at all, and had no way of knowing Mum was pregnant, or that she was due soon.

I assume most local gypsy camps would know quite a lot about the local bobbies.......

You may be right, @BertrandRussell - but I prefer the thought that my birth was Foretold! WinkBlushGrin
