Met a total stranger yesterday - work thing, quite formal. She has a new baby - 11lbs.
" Yes I had him totally naturally(!) - no tears or injuries' etc
She said this several times

Baby was 6 weeks, I know you go a bit nuts but jeez lady

Oh no, in the post birth haze I may have over-shared massively- I totally lost perspective on appropriate normal adult conversation. So I'd give her a bye on this but if she brings it up again would shut it down quickly but kindly.

Yes Cough, I can comprehend people may think differently, I was quite obviously just giving my personal opinion, is that not what these forums are about?

PouchofDouglas · 29/09/2018 20:00

Love people coming onto a thread to tell people they shouldn’t get het up about something because no one cares.
You know it is almost as if they care.

Please read the thread THIS WOMAN IS A STRANGER. She came into my very very formal work place. Then told everyone her vagina didn’t tear. A propos “that’s a nice baby”.
It’s just not chic. Apart from everything else

Well, that was the gist but at least she put it more subtly and said no injuries

Marriedwithchildren5 · 29/09/2018 20:17

‘Jeez, you must have a massive fanny’
Woman gives birth and is proud, 6 weeks after . Tear her apart, humiliate her. Perfect! If perhaps more woman supported each other...

Pissedoffdotcom · 29/09/2018 20:17

Why post on AIBU if you expect everyone to feel the same way as you??

IWishIHadEvenMorePlasticTat · 29/09/2018 22:35

Although why I should be embarrassed about having a capacious cunt, I don't know!

The bigger the better I say. Men are always talking about how big their penises are. And if they’re not taking about it they’re implying it, by driving flash cars and manspreafing on public transport and building skyscrapers that look like massive cocks.

I’m gonna build a skyscraper and all the doors and corridors in it are gonna be huge. HUGE.

IWishIHadEvenMorePlasticTat · 29/09/2018 22:36

*manspreading.

A vagina is not a sheath for a cock.

Yanbu

It's bad enough from someone you know

NooNooHead · 29/09/2018 22:51

My DD was 11lb5.5oz and I remember the midwives all coming up to look at her and say to me in amazement - ‘were you the petite 5’2” lady who had such a huge baby?!’ She was born by EMCS so it wasn’t quite as gobsmacking as a natural delivery though - if I had her naturally, then I would certainly have been telling a few people! (And probably walking like John Wayne! Ha ha!)

NooNooHead · 29/09/2018 23:02

I looked at my 4 month old DS a couple of months ago when he was prob about the same as my DD’s birth weight of 11lb5.5oz and thought ‘Dear God, just how sodding huge was I?!’ And why the heck didn’t anyone ever diagnose my gestational diabetes at the time..?! Then I get a bit pissed off at the crappy medical care I must have had... 😳🙄😂
