to think that my bump is enormous?

I keep being told how big my bump is for 34+5 (ish). MN, am I enormous? Is this a massive bump or is everyone lying to me? Grin I love my bump so will in no way take offence if you say 'yes you're a whale!!' I am just slightly concerned that I could have over 7 weeks left and am not sure what state this pregnancy is going to leave my already over stretched body in...

Don't usually post things like this but following from another thread, wondered what the consensus was.

Slightly miffed about the enormous stretch marks but hey ho...

I know IABU to even compare myself to others but I'm feeling rather rotund!

That is quite a bump. Bless you.

WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 10:08

I haven't even put on that much weight and am still in size 10 everything, it's just the bump... it's huge. I can hardly walk and my back is agony. It's massive isn't it? Sad

That is quite a bump, but you seem slim everywhere else which probably makes it more noticeable, I'm all hips thighs and bum at the moment, my bump still feels huge but is disguised by all over weight gain!

AhYeahOkayThen · 28/09/2018 10:10

Are you petite? Shorter women tend to have a bump that protrudes more.

AuntBeastie · 28/09/2018 10:11

I think the bumps of slim people often look more pronounced! In any case it’s gorgeous!

WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 10:11

Those who have had babies before... do you grow a lot more in the last few weeks? I'm genuinely a bit concerned for my body! Hats off to anyone carrying multiples!

I'm not! I'm 5ft9 Grin

Yes it’s a big bump but that’s pregnancy for you!

Imo it’s better to have just the bump than put weight on all over, trust me once the birth is over you will be glad the weight didn’t spread around your body.

WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 10:11

Thank you @AuntBeastie ! And I was worried at the beginning that my bump would never appear. How bloody naive I was Grin

I’m also 34+5 and my bump looks pretty much the same as yours. This is my fourth DC and they were all ten pounders so I’m expecting the same again Grin.

Don’t worry about it at all, some people have a huge bump but a tiny baby pops out.

Lightsong · 28/09/2018 10:12

I would have loved a proper bump like that, unfortunately my bump was spread evenly all around my body so I just looked fat even at full term!

Cheekylittlenumber · 28/09/2018 10:12

You look beautiful, and your bump is big but tidy amd neat at the same time iyswim.

X

Stormwhale · 28/09/2018 10:14

With dd I ballooned around that time, but then didn't actually get much bigger towards the end.

WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 10:17

@Stormwhale here's to hoping...

Such a lovely bump. I miss mine Grin

TheMagicTorch · 28/09/2018 10:19

I'm only 11 weeks with my first, your bump looks big but beautiful 😍

WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 10:19

@mytoolsmycloak definitely going to miss mine too and not looking forward to the aftermath it's going to leave on my body Grin (or has already left)

Thank you @TheMagicTorch and huge congratulations! Thanks

It’s a pretty big bump - mine was quite a bit bigger but I had two in there!

AhoyDelBoy · 28/09/2018 10:23

All bump and you look great!
I did see a woman last weekend with a bump like twice that size so I guess it could be worse? Grin (she had to have been 40+ though)

AhoyDelBoy · 28/09/2018 10:24

40+ weeks

WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 10:24

Hats off to you @SinkGirl - my brothers are twins and my mum honestly looked smaller than me! She only carried to 26 weeks though so they were super early.

OP posts:
WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 10:25

@AhoyDelBoy does age make a difference then? I'm mid 20s. It's just annoying because when people tell me I'm huge I can't even argue with them as I know it's true! 2 weeks of work left 😩
