to think that my bump is enormous?

I keep being told how big my bump is for 34+5 (ish). MN, am I enormous? Is this a massive bump or is everyone lying to me? Grin I love my bump so will in no way take offence if you say 'yes you're a whale!!' I am just slightly concerned that I could have over 7 weeks left and am not sure what state this pregnancy is going to leave my already over stretched body in...

Don't usually post things like this but following from another thread, wondered what the consensus was.

Slightly miffed about the enormous stretch marks but hey ho...

I know IABU to even compare myself to others but I'm feeling rather rotund!

That is a big bump yes Grin

Midwife and mother of four here - including twins! It's bigger than any of my bumps ever were, but it will ping back in no time at all if it's your first and you're in you twenties!

shirleyschmidt · 28/09/2018 11:37

Well it does look a big bump, but very neat! Is it very firm or a bit more 'squishy'? It might be that you have lots of water!!

Blondebakingmumma · 28/09/2018 11:38

😍 beautiful bump

wejammin · 28/09/2018 11:41

You look like me, I'm 36 weeks and my bump is all in the front, nothing on my hips or waist at all. This is DC3 and all my babies have been the same, big bumps but both only 7lb exactly, at 39+5.

I'm only 5ft 1 though!

SoyDora · 28/09/2018 11:42

It’s a lovely bump!
I’m 27 weeks with my third and my bump is so tight and hard that I can’t imagine it getting any bigger! I know it will though.
Contrary to the old wives tales i carried all in front with my 2 girls (I was literally just bump, you couldn’t tell I was pregnant from behind and didn’t put weight on elsewhere), whereas this one (a boy) is a lot more spread out.

Bumbledop · 28/09/2018 11:43

What a beautiful bump you have! It is quite big, but you look very slim! You look amazing. I had huge bumps with mine but also put weight on everywhere, literally 5 stone and I only weighed9 stone when I fell pregnant. All gone now though.

You look beautiful, enjoy your bump Smile

MTBMummy · 28/09/2018 11:47

I think your bump only looks big because your arse hasn't magically expanded to balance it out Envy

Congrats - you look fab

skippy67 · 28/09/2018 11:56

That's a lovely lovely bump!

WinkysTeatowel · 28/09/2018 11:58

You look similar to me, I'm 35 + 4. Measuring in the 90th percentile!
I was enormous with my first too, all baby, all at the front. I shouldn't worry.

Scottishgirl85 · 28/09/2018 12:02

I was the same with both pregnancies, just all bump. By 40 weeks it was ridiculous! All the best x

PutSomePantsOn · 28/09/2018 12:05

I always had a big bump (3 x DC) but I think because I generally found pregnancy difficult and didn't put in much weight (in fact lost lots for DC1) it looked bigger. So your being a size 10 will make a difference to how big your bump looks.

I had 3 8lb + babies. So big. Ump, big baby but all natural births and all well Smile. Overdue with all too. Good luck

Minniemountain · 28/09/2018 12:09

I was like you. 5ft 10, size 10 and big bump with barely any weight gain. DS was born at 40+13 and he was 10lb 6oz. If we'd had another one I would have insisted on a proper growth scan.

OwThatsGottaHurt · 28/09/2018 12:12

I just have to say that is a BEAUTIFUL bump! And your dress is fab. I know the agony that comes with a bump that size (my last was 11lbs at birth) but as bumps go - it's beautiful. 💐

anitagreen · 28/09/2018 12:16

Oh it's a big bump but a lovely one I tend to find more people who have bigger bumps tend to carry more water than have a big baby!. I was probably just a bit more heavier than you at the end stages and my son was 6lb9 I was expecting 9lbs Shock

Celestia26 · 28/09/2018 13:14

Lovely bump OP! And congrats!

WeeklyWarrior · 28/09/2018 15:17

Thanks everyone! Looks like I really am massive but good to see I'm not the only one Grin

Amazing bump xx

mishfish · 28/09/2018 15:25

Here’s my due date bump with my third. I was absolutely enormous with my first (no photos on this phone though). I didn’t get much bigger in the last few weeks if it’s any help

to think that my bump is enormous?
TeeBee · 28/09/2018 15:31

That's a lovely sized baby. You look fantastic. Just remember that its much easier to change nappies on the big ones. :-)

hugebumppic · 28/09/2018 15:47

It's beautiful, mine was lovely and high like yours - probably the same size about 34 weeks. (First photo) Then it dropped and "filled out" I raise you this monstrosity... second photo was at 39 weeks pregnant... very outing but hey oh..

Side note; I had polyhydramnios (excess fluid) which accounted for my huge bump but that would have been picked up in your scans if you had it.

Best of luck with your bambino and be kind to yourself after birthing Thanks

Annalogy · 28/09/2018 15:49

Big bump, lovely dress!

Thebluedog · 28/09/2018 15:52

It’s a lovely bump. Wish mine had been like that, I barely showed even at 8 months, always wanted people to know I was pregnant, not just think I’d got a bit fat Grin

combatbarbie · 28/09/2018 16:03

That is massive but very beautiful bump!!
