Just got into my car to do the school run-(not parked right outside) , glanced at my front door and see a man standing there, stared at him while he put out his cigarette in the ashtray my ds keeps tucked beside a plant pot!! Then he walked off!!
Speechless tbh!!
Who has been your cf today?

Waiting at IKEA returns earlier, had taken my number and it advised on the lip that it would be a 20 minute wait. After about ten minutes a woman who was behind me tried to queue jump by explaining to the ikea worker that she felt she'd been waiting longer than her slip advised... Luckily the ikea worker pointed out that so had everyone else and in fact anyone with a lower number than her had been waiting longer.

How about this...I got a letter from Victim Support, Dublin, sent to my address to the man we bought our house from in 2002. There was a crime reference number and police officer name so I called them and highlighted the fact that he had given them a false address. I really hope he gets into trouble. He’s a CF of the highest order, we’ve also had speeding fines from France sent to our address so he clearly has cars Registered to my house as well.

Stopped in a convenience store this morning after dropping DH off at work for a quick breakfast sandwich. Waited in a line of six or seven people and just as I got to the front a woman walked in from the gas pumps outside, marched herself to the register, and set a $20 on the counter to pre-pay for gas.

Pretty anti-climactic ending though as I was too tired to kick up a fuss. I just said "No, I was next in line. You'll have to get in line like everyone else" and handed the cashier the slip to ring up for my sandwich, paid, and left. The woman was still standing there when I left with a face like a slapped ass, but she didn't say anything. Only about a 2/10 on the CF scale.

Currently 7 months pregnant, treated myself to a portion of cheesy chips for my lunch, at my desk eating it when a colleague comes over to my desk and says:

“wow, big lunch today then!”

Firstly, a portion of chips isn’t a lot, secondly, I’m 7 months pregnant!!

Hormones or not, I think I’d be equally as miffed about that comment.

Perso25 · 24/09/2018 15:40

They won't pay my invoice on the due date as they haven't been paid by some clients so need to cover their bills. No apology. Never mind me needing their payment to pay my own bills..

ShirleyPhallus · 24/09/2018 15:40

thebangle sure it it wasn’t just the colleague highlighting to you that eating cheesy chips at your desk is really stinky and a bit gross for everyone around you?

LanguidLobster · 24/09/2018 15:42

I've only spoken to nice people today, sorry Blush

thebangle · 24/09/2018 15:44

@ShirleyPhallus nope, most people eat at their desks and this particular person eats the most eccentric salads that pong at the best of times

We lost a baby this week and my neighbour (don't really know her but she caught us walking in the house with maternity notes and they are clearly for pregnant women so told her we were pregnant as it was obvious) stopped round this morning to offer her support. I thought this was lovely until she asked if i could I could watch her daughter tomorrow afternoon as 'you'll be off for the week now right?' Erm...Yes....resting!!! She does actually have form for this as last time I lost a baby at 13 weeks and she asked if she could HAVE the things we had already bought. She is pregnant and is due at Christmas (my first mc baby would have been due at Christmas). She said we wouldn't need them as they are little Christmas baby gros etc and so wouldn't be able to be kept for next baby 😳 I actually had thought about giving her them prior to her asking but decided it would be too weird and upsetting to see her child wearing clothes I had bought for our lost baby. So now I have donated them to my midwife to give to someone who could do with a little helping hand before their new arrival :)

Toastiesalldaylong · 24/09/2018 15:48

Also I apologise for spoiling a light hearted thread! I'm just pissed off ! Also in fairly good place emotionally so sorry for the pity party!

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 24/09/2018 15:52

Toasties your neighbour sounds truly horrid. Am struggling to understand whats wrong with a man putting a fag out in an ashtray though? Isn't that what they're for? Better than dropping it on the floor outside your house surely?

Petalflowers · 24/09/2018 15:53

Toast, sorry to hear your news, and, yes, very cf!

WhatchaMaCalllit · 24/09/2018 15:53

Flowers Flowers Poor you @Toastiesalldaylong. Very un-mumsnetty hugs going your way. Your NDN is a CF of the highest order. Not an ounce of sympathy or common decency. Good on you for not giving her the baby things.

CoolCarrie · 24/09/2018 15:54

Sorry Toasties 💐

Glitterandunicorns · 24/09/2018 15:55

@Toastiesalldaylong I'm so very sorry for your loss. Thanks

mumsastudent · 24/09/2018 15:56

toasties ((hug)) as to the neighbour words fail me ...

Toastiesalldaylong · 24/09/2018 15:56

Thanks guys :-) I wouldn't care she kept bragging to me when we were first pregnant about how much she was spending etc ! I just wouldn't dare risk upsetting someone for a few bloody baby grows from next! Anyway I am really enjoying reading about the CFness so please keep making me laugh!!! :-)

VauxhallVectra · 24/09/2018 15:58

I parked up and nipped into a shop to buy some essentials.

When I came out a woman was standing next to my car and asked me to move. I told her there were several other spaces. She told me she always parked in that one and could I please hurry up as she was getting late for work.

unyummy4amummy · 24/09/2018 15:59

Toasties, So sorry for your loss Flowers and hugs. Can't believe the nerve of your NDN. I am really glad you kindly gave the baby things to your midwife and not that CF.

VauxhallVectra · 24/09/2018 15:59

As you can imagine, I took a while to get myself together in the car. Twat.

Havaina · 24/09/2018 15:59

.

VauxhallVectra · 24/09/2018 16:00

Sorry, no idea why my story is a fucking three-part saga.

unyummy4amummy · 24/09/2018 16:06

This is only an amateur CF I'm afraid. Waiting for a trolley in the small supermarket near me. I see a woman coming out of the checkout with one and ask if I can have the trolley. She gets her shopping bag out, takes the pound coin I offer her, says thanks and gives me a big smile. I was feeling pleased with myself until I take the trolley back and realise that she hadn't put a pound in it. No wonder she was smiling!
