Topless men and bikini clad women at children's play area and outdoor paddling pool ?

Probably a pet peeve of mine tbh. I just dislike it. Think its a bit wrong. This is in my area, and the seafront is literally round the corner from the play area and paddling pool. I do not have an issue if they are on the beach. But it seems men and women with minimal clothing sit in play area, some are not even with children. Plus its not a supervised pool because water is only say 5inches so no one to inform of this.
What are your thoughts?

What are our thoughts on what? People wearing beach/pool wear.......at the pool?

What exactly is your issue with it?

ghostyslovesheets · 19/09/2018 13:50

my thoughts are 'I can't see the issue'

NotACleverName · 19/09/2018 13:50

I'm not seeing the issue.

Racecardriver · 19/09/2018 13:52

I really don't care. I wouldn't dress like that because I don't want to set a bad example but I also don't wear tracksuits outside of the gym. There's nothing wrong about that either just naff.

LemonBreeland · 19/09/2018 13:54

Not an issue to me. It's not like they're naked. Why is it okay for children to see them dressed like that at the beach and not at the pool area?

Brandnewshit · 19/09/2018 13:54

My concern is that they are out there today in this wind!

PerryPerryThePlatypus · 19/09/2018 13:54

People wearing beach and swimwear to the beach and swim area....shocking.

Gottagetmoving · 19/09/2018 13:54

You mean there are adults who are wearing swimwear near to children playing??!!! Eeeek!!!
OMG, the trauma that may cause!!

TheySeeMeMintRollinTheyHatin · 19/09/2018 13:54

My thoughts on this OP?

Confused. Very very confused Grin

Mummaluelae · 19/09/2018 13:54

I mean like literally half naked people at children's pool ect. Fair enough in your hone your child seeing you getting changed ect but other people with no kids hanging around kids area is a no go. Am I right? And half clothed is a definate no!

What would you suggest men wear on their top half at a swimming pool?

ComtesseDeSpair · 19/09/2018 13:58

How is this different to being at the beach? They’d be wearing the same clothing, in the same proximity to children. A bikini doesn’t become any more revealing because the wearer is next to an artificial body of water rather than the sea. The only weird thing I see about it is that I have no idea why childfree adults would want to subject themselves to the hell on Earth that is a bunch of noisy, over-excited children at paddling pool when there are other places they could be.

Lydiaatthebarre · 19/09/2018 14:00

I would be wondering why adults without children are hanging around the children's pool and play area to be honest.

Methe · 19/09/2018 14:01

I expect your parents thought the same as you and that’s why you’ve grown up to be a prude.

People should be wearing swimwear by a swimming pool. If you have an issue with that you’re the problem, not them.

Fatted · 19/09/2018 14:01

I too am also confused about why someone is outside on a stormy September day in nothing but their swimwear.

If it is a swimming pool area, I would expect people to be dressed in swimwear. Don't see the issue.

Lydiaatthebarre · 19/09/2018 14:03

Was that necessary Methe?

Asterado · 19/09/2018 14:04

Am I right?

Erm..no.

I’d expect people to wear swimwear at a pool. Trunks and bikinis are swimwear.

Mulberry72 · 19/09/2018 14:06

I don’t see the problem, I really don’t.

AgentProvocateur · 19/09/2018 14:07

I’d expect the women to wear burkas and the men to wear dishdashas so that those poor children didn’t see a stranger’s flesh st the beach. It’s the only solution.

PorkFlute · 19/09/2018 14:08

I’d be more concerned about adults with no kids hanging around the play area rather than what they were wearing.

Devilishpyjamas · 19/09/2018 14:13

What today? Surely they’re feeezing?

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 19/09/2018 14:14

Is this a children's pool or is it just a shallow lido? We go to one in the summer and lay around, occasionally have a paddle. It's not a specific childrens paddling pool, has loads of lovely trees to sit under and grass to run about on. We don't have kids, just because we are childless doesnt mean we shouldn't be able to enjoy being outside. Luckily loads of people go there in the summer both groups with kids and without, it's never an issue.

Mummyoflittledragon · 19/09/2018 14:14

Are these people holiday makers and this is the town you live in permanently? Just wondering.

YeTalkShiteHen · 19/09/2018 14:14

Is the pool just for kids, or is it a pool for everyone beside a kids play area?

I can’t get het up about people in swimwear at a swimming pool tbh.

Bit nippy in this wind though eh?

Grumpasaurus · 19/09/2018 14:15

Is this that pool in Brighton? I went there all the time before I had kids- near a cafe, refreshing clean water to dip in, beautiful
