Had yet another phone call telling me that my internet had been hacked by someone in America, and if I hand over my computer access to this person, they could "fix it". I told him I am sick to death of these scams, he told me to shut up, and I told him to PISS OFF! AIBU to think they will probably keep ringing all the time because I lost my temper.

I had one call me and say they were calling about the accident I had last year, I got really excited and said ooooooh which one, at which point the guy says the one in February, again really excited voice ooooooh which one, I then started laughing, at which point the chap sounded annoyed and asked me what was funny. Laughing I said there was no accident, he got really pissed off and hung up.

🤔🤔🤔 so is scamming people over the phone!

I used to get an Indian sounding bloke trying to sound American "mam all the time" Never used my name as would not know it usually about Talk Talk they phoned the other day I could not be arsed to wait for the guff so said "I have not been with Talk Talk for years so fuck off and scam some other @unt" he then proceeded to shout fuck off fuck off etc down the phone at me.I hung up in the knowledge that I had pissed him off.The other scam where they remotely control your computer is called AMMYY .

A girl I knew used to offer them used sex toys for sale......😂😂😂

They used to keep ringing saying they were from my broadband provider, etc. got caller ID, un listed numbers not meant to be able to get through, but then they started using local numbers, and codes I reckonised, now have a call filter, when someone rings it asks their names, identifies my provider, so they cant say they are calling from them, had it about 3 months now, and NOT ONE scam caller yeah

I laugh quietly and whisper I know where you live, then hang up the phone really gently.
