How talk are you and what do it weigh?

Trying to work out my target weight.

I know the range according to BMI but I'm too fat to visualise what say 9 stone looks like.

I'm a size 20, I was happiest in myself as a size 14 but never weighed myself back then.

I'm 5 ft 4.5 so trying to guesstimate what weight I'd be as a comfortable 14

'Big boned' is actually a thing. Turns out I do have a large frame.

I'm 5ft 6 and definitely weight too much currently, my diet while pregnant keeps going out the window. Like a pp says it depends on levels of comfort I could squeeze into 14/16 now but I choose 18/20 so it's loose and comfy. Also my washing machine shrinks everything

I’m 5 ft 7 and am usually in a size 14 when I go above 12 stone.

I'm 5.4 and 10.5lb, most stuff I wear is 14.

I'm the same height as you and I'm 11 stone but I can go up to about 11 and a 1/2 and still be a comfortable 14

Totally depends on how you carry your weight. I've never been bigger than a size 14. I'm nearly 5 ft 5, and the heaviest I've been is just over 14 st.

In all honesty it depends where you shop for your clothes, but I wear UK 14 very comfortable room to move etc, can't stand seeing people squeezing into a 12 and all there bits hang over....and then they claim to be a 12?!

My two friends are a 14, definitely exactly the same size and shape, borrow each other clothes etc. One is 11 stone and one is 15 stone!

I'm 5ft8 and ridiculously dense. Always a stone heavier than I look. At present I'm at the top end of 14 at 12st8. When i was 11 stone last year I was a nice 12.

I am a definite 14, 12’s squish fat out, and 16’s fall down or look shapeless and clearly too big!

I have just started buying size 16 now, although they are quite loose but I cannot have anything constricting around my fat gut. I am an apple, slim arms, bum and legs though, probably size 10 legs but size 16 gut

I'm 5'1 and a size 12 (occasionally a small 14 in some shops) at 11 stone. When I was 10 stone I was a size 12 sometimes a 10. I've got hips/thighs and big boobs. It's all to do with your body proportions more than weight.

I’m exactly 5ft 4 1/2 and weigh anywhere between 9st 7lb and 9st 9/10. Am a size 12 at my heaviest but once I dip to 9st 7lb or below, am a size 10. Hth, and best of luck wth your weight loss x

I'm nearly exactly the same, 5ft 9/10 and 11st 8 I would love to lose a stone but I'm really struggling this time.

I am also a size 14

I am 5 foot 4 weigh 12st 7 and wear a 18 which seems a larger size than most others at my height and weight. I am pear shaped and have a large frame.

I'm very short, 4ft 9 and signifintly overweight at a size 14.

I'm happiest around a size 8 (so between 6 and 10 realistically with the bonkers sizing on the high street)

I’m 25, 5’9 and weigh around 11stone. Although I fluctuate between 10.5-11.

I’m a size 10 (8 if I want them to be tighter fitting) but generally a 10 will always fit me.
I’m lucky as have an hourglass shape and am happy with my body.

At 18 I weighed 16 stone and wore a size 20, I was horribly uncomfortable and felt unhealthy. By 19 I’d dropped to 9.5 stone and again felt unhealthy.

I’ve been around 11 stone for the past 5 years (a little fluctuation but no more than half a stone) I feel healthy and comfortable.

The one thing I really took with me from my experience though was I wish I hadn’t beaten myself up so much or felt so awful at the points I was unhappy. I wish I’d just thought right...this is my starting point and it only gets better from here.

The self loathing and desperation to escape the weight causes anxiety and intensity and pushes you towards an unhealthy lifestyle to achieve it! XX

Please don't go by BMI, this is not an accurate or even feasible measure for some people as it doesn't take your build into account at all. Professional rugby players for example would probably be classed as morbidly obese on this scale

Focusing on a target weight can also be disheartening as so many factors affect weight and most people weigh themselves too often and get disheartened. Water weight, time of day, whether you're on your period etc will all effect this significantly. I would suggest taking your waist measurement instead and monitoring that - and only weighing yourself every few weeks at the most. You can do this, good luck!!
