How talk are you and what do it weigh?

Trying to work out my target weight.

I know the range according to BMI but I'm too fat to visualise what say 9 stone looks like.

I'm a size 20, I was happiest in myself as a size 14 but never weighed myself back then.

I'm 5 ft 4.5 so trying to guesstimate what weight I'd be as a comfortable 14

At 5 foot 6 I was probably around 11-11.7. I was a size 10-12 at 10st 6.

Currently overweight though and wanting to lose the weight ASAP!

Screenburn · 01/09/2018 00:32

5’10.5 (5’11 but have very poor posture) and 14st3. Some of my 14s are getting a bit tight. Body of a violin - so big boobs but much bigger hips. And a long neck Grin

I’m a size 14 I carry my weight around my tummy mainly and have big boobs. (To be honest I do need to buy size 16 some tops)

I am 5ft 5 1/2 and weigh 10st 9lbs. I am technically not overweight but I look it. My tummy looks fat and you can see it in my face that I am carrying more weight than I should be.

My ideal size would be a 10/12 but I need to get to around 8st to be a size 10 and around 8st 9 to 9st to be a size 12. I was a size 8 at one point but to be honest I was underweight (by BMI standards as I was under 8 st) to get to that point, but I felt like I looked my best then.

My heaviest weight was just after pregnancy, I was just under 12st and up to a size 18.

I’m quite envious that other people can weigh the same as me and fit into smaller clothes sizes, and probably look better but I know it’s just the way I carry weight on my body.

I'm 5"3 and when I was a size 14 I think I was about 11st7lb.

BretonStripe · 01/09/2018 03:08

@cheval ditto re: unable to find jeans that fit.

I'm struggling to fit into any of my Gap, New Look, Asda, M&S or M&Co size 14 skinny jeans (won't do up).

I'm 5ft 7" and weigh 11st 3lbs. Trying to lose 10lbs.

Where are all you 11st-plus shorter than me size 14 folk buying your jeans?! I'm having to wear size 16's for now, which are baggy and look awful.

Leontine · 01/09/2018 03:19

@bretonstripe I got mine from Topshop and River Island. I'm an hourglass shape.

RedStef1983 · 01/09/2018 07:16

@SleepingStandingUp I’m 5ft 5ins and am a size 14 when I weigh 11.5- 12.5 stone. I’m pregnant at the moment and weigh 13 stone- my size 14s still fit at the start of the day but feel pretty snug after lunchtime!

crazydoglady6867 · 01/09/2018 07:47

breton. I find Next and M&S are true to the “modern” size 14 so I buy from there I also have a size 32 Levi’s and they are true to size but usually 4” too long! In my teenage years if I was this size I am now though I would have been wearing a size 18. So it is clear manufacturing has evolved to make fatties like me feel a lot better about ourselvesGrin

Piggywaspushed · 01/09/2018 07:55

I have always got actual jeans from Next. I got some grey ones from Tu that are great but any other colour does that awful having to be hoiked up thing. Dorothy Perkins does good jeggings. Even when a size 12 in all other clothes I have had to wear 14 jeans. And I don't carry my weight in the middle!

Piggywaspushed · 01/09/2018 07:56

although have to add ,I am limited in where I can buy jeans from as am 5 ft 3.

TakeOffYourJudgyPants · 01/09/2018 08:43

I'm a size 14 at around 12-12.5 stone. The heaviest I've been is 13 stone and 14's we're starting to get tight.

I'm currently a size 12 at 11.5 stone.

TakeOffYourJudgyPants · 01/09/2018 08:43

Oh and I'm 5ft3!

tierraJ · 01/09/2018 08:49

I'm nearly 5'4" & weigh 11st 12lbs & im a size 12 - 14.

Eg my skinny jeans are a 14 but my work trousers are a 12, my monsoon camisole is a 14 but my River Island camisole is a 12!

It depends on the shops I think.

dorisdog · 02/09/2018 00:05

I'm 5ft 2ins and weigh 9st. I feel about 'right.' I lost 1.5st over the last 6 months by reducing my calorie intake from approx 2,200 per day to 1,800 (average), and doing interval training three times per week. It's been slow but steady and I haven't been hungry.

I've been using myfitnesspal to track calories and excersise.

dorisdog · 02/09/2018 00:06

Sorry - forgot to say, I was a size 14 at the beginning - so 10.5 st but now I'm a size 10.
