Just that really.... inspired by the recent sticker campaign.... "Women can't have penises" and "Some women have penises"....

Simple question - simple answer.

Me - Yes, I believe women can't have penises.

My type is white, but I also like Asian and Hispanic, so I don't believe I'm being racist. I like the individual, not their genitialia. Sad that some women can feel threatened by a few inches of flesh

So you like white, asian and hispanic women, but not transwomen who are white, asian or hispanic? So you don't fancy any tranwomen but it has nothing to do with them being trans? How does that work then?

Sad that some women can feel threatened by a few inches of flesh

Yes its terribly sad that women can fee threatened by penises, isn't it? It's almost as if women get raped by penises, and get hurt and killed by people with penises....Hmm

Can you answer my question? Do you have daughters? And are you happy for naked people with penises in womens spaces with your daughters?

PlantsArePeopleToo · 31/08/2018 13:18

Sad that some women can feel threatened by a few inches of flesh.

Only a man could say something so utterly moronic. #Clueless

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 31/08/2018 13:23

Those "few inches of flesh" are what does all the raping. Not to mention the filthy voyeurs and other assorted perverts who will be insinuating themselves into female spaces once given the opportunity. They are doing it now but at least women can object. Once this GRA is amended per the proposals we women will cease to have that right.

In short, no woman alive has ever had a penis. Not one. Those men who believe themselves to be women are deluded.

JAPAB · 31/08/2018 13:24

There are, of course men who date transwomen. But are they straight if they are having sex with a penis?

Not all trans women have penises of course.

But yes you can argue the point about labelling and say that some people are IDing their own sexuality wrongly. But that wouldn't alter the existence of people who do have the natural ability to date trans people but maybe prejudice gets in the way.

And such people will declare themselves straight, gay, lesbian, and so that is what other people who believe in self-ID for sexuality, will consider themselves to be dealing with.

HermansHermit · 31/08/2018 13:24

I've been staying out of this because I have a good friend who is transitioning M to F. She has ALWAYS felt female, a more classic case of gender dysphoria you would never see.

Seriously (not trying to provoke THAT argument again) do you think a biologically male person who is taking female hormones and has breasts but still has a penis is a threat in a changing room? She probably couldn't get an erection if she wanted to. The majority of MtoF people I've met are deeply, deeply resentful that they still have that bit of flesh down there. They DO look like women, they really try to fit in, and you'd have a job to realise they were still biologically male unless you saw the palaver they go to to hide it. There are probably more of them around than you realise.

While I really feel the concept of self-determination is good, there are obvious ways it can be exploited. A few bad apples out to exploit any loopholes they can find is always going to be a problem, in every walk of life.

My friend has just had reassignment surgery, so she no longer has a penis and testicles. But she's still got Y chromosomes and a prostate. Is she female yet?

Datun · 31/08/2018 13:27

Sad that some women can feel threatened by a few inches of flesh.

Haha! Says the straight dude who won't date a transwoman.

Frequency · 31/08/2018 13:28

Sad that some women can feel threatened by a few inches of flesh

I actually agree with this. It's incredibly sad that women's experiences have taught them a few inches of flesh is dangerous to them.

It's sad that men use these few inches of flesh to rape women with.

It's sad that men use their superior physical strength the hormones these few inches of flesh give them to assault, violate and murder women.

It's sad these few inches of flesh entitle men to a better standard of living than women.

Perhaps, if none of this happened, women would be happy to include these few inches of flesh in their spaces but while it is still happening, I think it is quite sensible of women to fight to keep these inches of flesh out of their spaces, wouldn't you agree?

Datun · 31/08/2018 13:29

Is she female yet?

Dear god.

AnEPleaseBob · 31/08/2018 13:34

But that wouldn't alter the existence of people who do have the natural ability to date trans people but maybe prejudice gets in the way

what does that even mean though? What "natural ability to date transpeople? Thats pretty much everyone, it doesn't take any special skill.
If they are prejudiced against transpeople surely that means they are the ones who don't have that "natural ability", whatever that means?

Mrbatmun · 31/08/2018 13:36

Sad that some women can feel threatened by a few inches of flesh.

Sorry, I just came onto this thread. Are you fucking JOKING?

Aeroflotgirl · 31/08/2018 13:37

No Hermans she is not, she is a Transwoman, hence she is still biologically Male but has changed her appearence to that of a woman.

Frequency · 31/08/2018 13:38

A few bad apples out to exploit any loopholes they can find is always going to be a problem, in every walk of life

When one of these 'bad apples' murder a women in a prison cell, or rape a women in a refuge - because it will happen - will this madness finally end? How many women will have to lose their life before it finally ends?

With respect to your friend, I am genuinely sorry they had to go through this and while I would not say they are genetically female, I do feel that someone who has gender reassignment and gone to the trouble of getting a GRC under the current laws should be treated as female as far as possible. I'd be happy to share my space with her. If she ever found herself on the wrong side of the law, she should be incarcerated with women not men.

But should she be included on award lists for women, categorised as a women if she commits a violent crime or take up positions usually reserved for women? No. Sorry, but she was socialised as a male until she transitioned and no operation can take that away.

I do support her right to live from harm though.

Frequency · 31/08/2018 13:39

I do support her right to live *free from harm though.

Aeroflotgirl · 31/08/2018 13:40

Yiu cannot truly change your sex, it is impossible, to do that, your whole genetic make up woukd have to change, which cannot be done. If she feels like a woman, and she believes that she is, that's fine, but she is still a genetic Male, which is characterised by XY chromosomes, Female, XX.

Mrbatmun · 31/08/2018 13:41

My type is white, but I also like Asian and Hispanic, so I don't believe I'm being racist.

So what is it exactly about white, Asian and Hispanic transwomen that you don't find attractive?

AnEPleaseBob · 31/08/2018 13:45

Seriously (not trying to provoke THAT argument again) do you think a biologically male person who is taking female hormones and has breasts but still has a penis is a threat in a changing room? She probably couldn't get an erection if she wanted to. The majority of MtoF people I've met are deeply, deeply resentful that they still have that bit of flesh down there

Your friend is probably no threat to anyone. But we don't know which of the people with penises are a threat and which are not, so its much better to say no penises at all. By saying your friend with a penis is fine, we also then have to let in anyone else with a penis, and that's where the real problem lies.
Men lie to get access to women. We know that. We know that men will use self ID to get into womens spaces. It's not about hatred or fear of transwomen, its about keeping womens spaces safe from men. And the majority of transwomen have penises.

AnEPleaseBob · 31/08/2018 13:46

My friend has just had reassignment surgery, so she no longer has a penis and testicles. But she's still got Y chromosomes and a prostate. Is she female yet?

No, and never will be. She will always be a biologically male transwoman.

ShrodingersSturdyPyjamas · 31/08/2018 13:50

But she's still got Y chromosomes and a prostate. Is she female yet?

Has this meant that she can gestate and carry a child? Get cervical cancer/have the menopause? Will she take an automatic 20% pay cut?

If not then what exactly is female about your friend?

Removal of arms and legs doesn't make a human into a worm. They are still a human being.

Removal of a penis and testicles doesn't make a man into a woman.

ADastardlyThing · 31/08/2018 13:59

No, they aren't female, nor will they be.

JAPAB · 31/08/2018 13:59

AnEPleaseBob maybe I didn't put it well. Obviously anyone could literally date anyone.

But think of a person who is homosexual or bisexual in orientation but say they have been conditioned into believing that same-sex relationships are an abomination, perverted, etc.

They have the "natural ability" to from normal decent relationships with members of the same sex, but it is like that gets "stifled".

Whereas a heterosexual man only attracted to those with an XX, will have no such "natural ability" to form a normal decent relationship with another male. It would just be going through the motions.

Anyway, you can argue over the labelling but there are no doubt people with the "natural ability" to form normal relationships with trans people, but for the "prejudice" thing.

And for them, the logic of some trans people is actually correct I reckon.

Fromage · 31/08/2018 14:01

I like the individual, not their genitialia.

So what is it about transwomen you find unattractive? Clearly it doesn't matter to you whether a transwoman has male genitalia or not, so what is it about transwomen that isn't attractive to you?

Sad that some women can feel threatened by a few inches of flesh.

It is, isn't it? Or to put it another way, it's despicable that the violent and abusive actions of some men, mean that most women have learnt to have a very real fear or at least a well-founded wariness of men and that 'few inches of flesh.' It's sad that we have to live with this fear, it's sad that the perpetrators are so rarely brought to justice, it's sad that we are shamed, it's fucking tragic that there are people who can't understand this.

Datun · 31/08/2018 14:06

Seriously (not trying to provoke THAT argument again) do you think a biologically male person who is taking female hormones and has breasts but still has a penis is a threat in a changing room?

This is not, never has been, about individuals. It can't be. Everyone knows men who are nice, and transwomen who are nice. It's irrelevant.

We segregate by sex based on statistics showing that males commit the overwhelming majority of sexual and violent crime.

It's not a case by case basis.

PositivelyPERF · 31/08/2018 14:09

I like the individual, not their genitialia.

Lying hypocrite. You say you’re not attracted to men that identify as women, then say you like the individual, not their genitalia. You completely contradicted yourself.

The arrogance of a man, telling women, what a woman is.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 31/08/2018 14:13

He is arrogant for telling us what 'kinds' of women make his dick stiff - as if we were meat.

IrishDadof2 · 31/08/2018 14:13

I have a daughter. When she is older, I think this hysteria around allowing trans women their rights will have died down, and people will wonder what all the fuss was about.

Re: what I don't find attractive about trans women, it's purely subjective. I like feminine looks, which is not easy for trans women to pull off without surgery.

What if your son came to you believing himself to be trans? Word you look at him as a rapist, a pervert? I understand women's fears around sometime they don't understand, but this is real and it's happening. The sooner you get on board the easier it will be for everyone.
