Just that really.... inspired by the recent sticker campaign.... "Women can't have penises" and "Some women have penises"....

Simple question - simple answer.

Me - Yes, I believe women can't have penises.

Why haven't you read the thread QuizzlyBear? It answers the questions in your post. You do look rather silly.

Where is your white privileged compassion for women who are afraid of the threats of violence, or those who are losing their jobs, or those are doxxed, or those who are going to be passed over for promotion or employment, or the women who now have to refer to the man who raped them as 'she?' What about women in prison sharing space with someone who raped another woman with the penis they were born with? Women who have trained for years in their chosen sport, only to be deselected or lose a competition because another competitor had biological advantages?

Those women don't have it so easy as you, as you put it, so why no compassion for them? Why don't you care about the women who are being hurt by the actions of TRAs, when you claim you are OK with anyone doing anything, so long as no one else is hurt? People are being hurt. Why don't you care about them?

@Aeroflotgirl the India in CBB was India Willoughby, not India Hicks

Aeroflotgirl · 30/08/2018 15:37

Oh yes ludog it isSmile

DadJoke · 30/08/2018 17:47

The old joke is that with one of these, women can have as of those as they want.

dontbringmedown · 30/08/2018 18:19

They know that men do not and will not ever consider them as women

Sadly, for them this is true.

Except for a few oddballs, 99.9% of men want a real biological woman, not ome hairy' be-bollocksed and penised' bloke, who's decided to id as a woman, by donning a frock.

Aeroflotgirl · 30/08/2018 18:21

Or they are more likely to meet a Transman as a partner.

Yes, I believe women can't have penises.

AnEPleaseBob · 30/08/2018 21:42

I'm a straight white woman with no disabilities in a comfortable income bracket - I come from a very privileged position in society so as far as I'm concerned that gives me the responsibility to act like a human being with compassion for others that don't have it so easy

You mean all the other women who need your help? YES! Thanks so much for wanting to be an ally for women.

Ellie56 · 30/08/2018 22:18

Women can't have penises. It's a biological fact. As PP have said umpteen times, no matter how much a man wants to be a woman, or dresses like a woman, or says he's a woman, he just isn't one.

This thread has been in turn very enlightening, thought provoking and terrifying.

I had no idea there was a government consultation. Why has it not been publicised more?

www.gov.uk/government/consultations/reform-of-the-gender-recognition-act-2004

Everyone should respond to it. FPFW have produced a really helpful document to help with answering what they perceive to be the most important questions.

fairplayforwomen.com

Posters on here posed some very interesting questions:

Where were all these penised women when women were being oppressed and treated as second class citizens? They didn't join our fight for equality at any point. Instead they just want to take away what we have fought so hard to get. Yes - quite. Nowhere to be seen were they?

Try this analogy, a white person identifies himself as a black man, and puts brown make up on, and tries to dress in a cultural way to that race and tell people that they are a real black person. This would be insulting, offensive and unheard of right, many would be up in arms about it. He has no idea what it is like to be black, the struggles that many black people face, racism, black history and culture. Why is it ok to do this for women, and for women to just accept it, when black people would not be expected to? - I agree it just wouldn't be allowed.

It is worrying to learn from other posters that already the rights of women and girls to have female only spaces are being eroded. It is outrageous that men and boys can invade the sanctity of female changing rooms just by saying they identify as a woman/girl. As for the Girl Guides - words fail me.

And I found that website that someone linked to, where trans women with make up and false boobs were flaunting their erections quite disturbing.

I cannot believe this is what we are up against. How have we come to this?

loveyouradvice · 30/08/2018 23:01

Ellie what a brilliant passionate post.... and you are so right - your final question How have we come to this? is one we are all asking....

Half the time I feel like Alice in Wonderland... the other half sad beyond measure...

I had not thought I was living in a golden age for women and girls when in my 20s/30s fighting for women's rights.... I suspect we are going to look back and think it was.....THOUGH I STILL THINK WE CAN STOP THIS MADNESS... the more people you tell, the more people who speak out against it before it is too late....

I’m not too hot on my disorders of sex development right now - can anyone tell me of one that produces a female with a penis? TIA.

Aeroflotgirl · 31/08/2018 07:31

Hermaphrodite I think!

Italiangreyhound · 31/08/2018 09:09

There are various intersex conditions. "De La Chapelle, also known as XX Male syndrome is a rare cause of male infertility.[1] Testis Determining Factor (TDF), located on the short arm of the Y chromosome, is responsible for testicular development in males."

I don't know how it affects the embryo.

Italiangreyhound · 31/08/2018 09:10

"Turner syndrome (TS), also known as 45,X or 45,X0, is a condition in which a female is partly or completely missing an X chromosome. Signs and symptoms vary among those affected."

Italiangreyhound · 31/08/2018 09:21

The term 'hermaphrodite' is applied to animals, often invertebrates etc, which do not need two separate sexes to reproduce.

It was used to describe ambiguous genitalia and germline mosaicism (a type of genetic mosaicism where more than one set of genetic information is found specifically within the gamete cells) in humans.

Now we use the word intersex as the word 'hermaphrodite' is considered to be misleading and offensive, which it is.

Plus intersex are conditions that occur naturally or, I believe, can be caused by exposure to certain drugs in vitro.

It's nothing to do with trans sexual or trans gender.

I believe intersex people (for example via the USA intersex society) have asked for isses about trans gender not to be conflated with intersex conditions.

GhostPerfume · 31/08/2018 09:21

Yes

Aeroflotgirl · 31/08/2018 10:46

Italian I was just trying to think of conditions I which Biological Females could have a penis, as I heard of conditions but cou,d not think of the proper names.

Noqont · 31/08/2018 10:57

Woman do not have a penis. I don't care how some choose to live their lives, dress up as the opposite sex, whatever. Makes no odds to me. What does bother me is women's and girls safeguarding thrown out of the window, men on women's short lists and men in women and children's safe places. Guides, toilets, refuges, prisons. The list is endless. It also bothers me the quick diagnosis of gender dysphoria and puberty blockers for children, which can cause considerable harm to their physical and emotional health. This is nothing more than child abuse. So, whilst people are free to live the life they choose, they are not welcome to do this at the expense of woman and children.

WOMEN DO NOT HAVE PENISES.

DixieFlatline · 31/08/2018 11:02

I should really have clarified. I'm looking for an actual intersex condition where a female develops a penis. When I say I'm not too hot on the disorders, I mean I can't remember them since studying the physiology. Males can end up with penises in varying stages of development and can e.g. have testes while developing female external genitalia, but in terms of the physiology I remember studying, I cannot think how a female would end up with a penis in any disorder of development.

AnEPleaseBob · 31/08/2018 11:18

There are no intersex conditions whereby genetic females have a penis. None. There is Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia in which XX individuals can have cliteromegaly, which is an abnormally large clitoris. But it is not a penis.

No women have penises.

IrishDadof2 · 31/08/2018 11:25

I'm a straight man, and don't personally find trans women attractive. But I respect their right to identity as women, and don't really care what's between their legs. Live and let live.

Frequency · 31/08/2018 11:31

And if they start calling you TERF, threatening to rape you or contacting your employer to try to lose you your job because you don't want to fuck their 'ladydick' will you still want to live and let live?

Because that is a reality lesbians face on a daily basis.
