Just that really.... inspired by the recent sticker campaign.... "Women can't have penises" and "Some women have penises"....

Simple question - simple answer.

Me - Yes, I believe women can't have penises.

Of course we need to think through things, like sports rules and where to locate people who were born men but now identify as woman, in the prison estate, hospital wards etc.. but surely this thinking through can be done in a civilised manner, accepting of each other, respectful, and without bitterness, threat and hatred.

strawberrypenguin · 29/08/2018 09:48

Women do not have penises.

I have temporarily been in sort of possession of one but it belonged to DS safely tucked up in my uterus.

PositivelyPERF · 29/08/2018 09:51

why are they given so much of the oxygen of publicity?

Because they’re men who pretend to be women, being supported by other men, in a media that is run by men. Women have gained to many rights and forgotten their place 😒 so the misogynists need to put us back in our box, and what better way to do it, than use other men, while pretending that said men are ‘oppressed’.

PositivelyPERF · 29/08/2018 09:51

*too

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/08/2018 09:52

Trot along to some TRA sites where they talk about punching terfs and/or invading women's spaces and call us all manner of names under the sun and say the same thing.

Quangot · 29/08/2018 09:52

It is not "bitterness" or "hatred" to stand up for women's rights, or to disagree with men who pretend they are us.

SandraTheBee · 29/08/2018 09:52

Anything other than sheer cocksucking obsequience is 'man-hating'
Absolutely this ^^^.

PositivelyPERF · 29/08/2018 09:53

You’re correct. I agree that the TRAs should stop bullying, harassing, threatening and assaulting women.

Aeroflotgirl · 29/08/2018 09:54

Exactly PositivelyPERF, that is totally correct.

Italiangreyhound · 29/08/2018 10:07

AglassOfWine yes there should be no hatred. No middle aged women (or any women) punched by trans activists, no bomb threats, no threats to rape or set on fire.

You do realize my examples are from TRAs?

Google terf is s slur and see what some males who identify as women want womem to feel afraid of, what they think of us, how they 'identify' with us.

Not all trans women want to harm women and some fabulous transsexual women are working alongside natal women.

The idea that natal males are not women is not hateful. I support trans women. I don't want anyone harmed. I don't want females to lose all rights to organise and associate free of males.

Do you honestly see that as hatred?

BertrandRussell · 29/08/2018 10:09

"but surely this thinking through can be done in a civilised manner, accepting of each other, respectful, and without bitterness, threat and hatred" I agree. Trouble is, every time I try I get called a transphobe.

JaneJeffer · 29/08/2018 10:09

If trans women are women then why use that awful word cis to describe natal women? Isn't that just saying that trans women are not women? It's all so confusing!

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 29/08/2018 10:10

To the posters asserting that transwomen all want to look like Barbie-that's not nessecarily true.
Trans activists might, and the transvestites I have known kind of did (although more comic book character than Barbie) but lots just wear boring office clothes and understated make up.
When we talk about "trans" nowadays that encompasses people with gender dysphoria (transsexuals) as well as what would have been called transvestites (usually straight men who get a kick out of cross dressing).
The problem is Stonewall has put both types under the same "trans" umbrella, and they have been busy advising the establishment (NHS, Government)on "inclusive" policies.
Transsexuals who have always been included by women have never really pushed to be so, but now there are whole load of males with less than wholesome motives pushing to be let in to women's spaces for their own reasons.
At the end of the day, whatever the motivation to effectively make women's sex based services and provision unisex, the outcome can only be women and girls being less safe from male violence, as ANYONE can self id as female, Barbie outfit not even nessecary.

Greenfliesarenice · 29/08/2018 10:10

Perhaps we should do away with gender based words and call ourselves person with a vagina or person with a penis. Then we can segregate on the basis of genitals.

Although any women with a penis may not like that as it wouldn't allow them access to spaces people with a vagina were using.

Yes I'm being sarcastic.

Aeroflotgirl · 29/08/2018 10:17

Not all TRAS are Transwomen, I know one that I know for sure is a natal women, who uses uses negative terms such as TERF to describe women who are concerned about self id, describing them as bigots, and asking people on her Facebook to boycotte FB groups run be women who are concerned about this.

BiologyIsReal · 29/08/2018 10:20

TRAs have never allowed logic to invade their brains Jane. That's probably because they think their brains are pink (sarcasm alert).

ScrumpyBetty · 29/08/2018 10:27

No women do not have penises.

I do not identify as a woman.
I just am one. It is not an identity, it is a reality. Yes, a biological reality @ratrolypoly because there is no satisfactory explanation of a woman that does not include biology.

No one can explain gender identity to me, in a way that makes it sound like nothing more than just a strong feeling

Being a woman is not a feeling!

puzzledlady · 29/08/2018 10:37

Op hasn’t this been done to death. What do you want to achieve from this aside from being goady???

VickyEadie · 29/08/2018 10:40

Op hasn’t this been done to death. What do you want to achieve from this aside from being goady???

I'm guessing the OP (a) is, like many of us, worried about the notion that penis-holders want to have access to women's and girls' spaces, sports, etc and (b) is concerned that some people keep trying to shut down any discussion of those worries by saying either that it's "hateful" to discuss those worries or that it's been "done to death".

It's interesting how some people keep trying to shut such discussion down.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/08/2018 10:57

Whereas those who boast about wanting to 'punch a terf' have unfettered free speech.

AnEPleaseBob · 29/08/2018 10:59

However, why so much hatred? If somone wants to identify as a woman, just let them do so. What harm does it do you?

HAVEN'T YOU EVEN TRIED TO LISTEN?

It does us ALL immense harm. Educate your fucking naive self before you try and get the rest of us deleted for telling the truth.

The only people I hate even a little bit right now are the assholes who insist their is no issue and its out problem, that we are transphobic. No, I'm lie phobic. I'm misogynyphobic. I phobic of this utter bullshit.

SandraTheBee · 29/08/2018 11:02

Of course it hasn't been done to death. All the time women's rights, identity and safe spaces is threatened then there is need for discussion. If we get to the position where this ridiculous movement goes away then we will need to keep discussing what happened to make sure we are well armed for the next attempt at male attack on women and their identity.

paintedwingsandgiantrings · 29/08/2018 11:06

Op hasn’t this been done to death. What do you want to achieve from this aside from being goady???

The government are proposing to redefine the definition of woman to "anyone who wants to call themselves a woman". (And same for men) There is a consultation open right now.

So, far from being "done", this is highly topical. And while most of the population are unaware that the government think women can have penises and want to remove single sex exemptions through the back door, then we need to keep shouting about it.

People need to know what's going on.

AnEPleaseBob · 29/08/2018 11:09

Sounds like she's a transtranswoman, with an overwhelming feeling that she should have born as a man who feels like they should have been born as a woman.

SandraTheBee · 29/08/2018 11:11

Is that the same as wanting to be a spaniel? Because it sounds equally ridiculous- woof.
