Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

Never heard of her, but off the back off this thread going to go look her up as sounds like a great account to follow!

ccham · 06/09/2018 22:56

Doesn't use organic products - isn't it everyone's choice whether they live/,use organically.
definitely not organic instagram growth - there's a free tool online that audits Insta profiles and returns real followers % she's hitting around 94%
almost definitely not pictures of a real house - how do you come to that conclusion?

It's a real shame that people should expect to be a target for sticking their head above water though. The internet is a big bad place but doesn't have to be.

rainbowsandsmiles · 06/09/2018 23:05

Just been catching up on the thread, as hadn't read it before commenting.
Was trying to inject a bit of positivity after reading the OP and knowing how shite and personal the other IG threads always get (rolled my eyes on opening, wouldn't have bothered opening if had known it was another one lol, just wondered who on earth Mrs Hinch was and curiousGrin )
Shame to see it's gone much the same way as the others.
Sigh.

whatwouldyoubelikeat28 · 06/09/2018 23:09

The followers might be real but she is using a PR company to push her, it's not like she is just posting pictures and peope ar finding her. She is using a company to get in media and otherwise drive up her profile. Or she could be a friend of the company and they are using her as a project to demonstrate how they can make someone instafamous. There is money flowing in all directions around this, you barely need to search.
The images are very similar, the kid of images that you get with a professional or in a well-lit photoshoot, and then use them for months afterwards from slightly different angles. There is no sign of life in the house since the early days.
She is obvs a real person and its not my jam and I'm not against people wanting to be instafamous but yes, you can see a lot of cracks in the polished veneer of this.

whatwouldyoubelikeat28 · 06/09/2018 23:12

the world has always targeted people who stick their head above water, long before the internet. I am at a stage in my career when I am starting to be noticed and it worries me because I know I now become a bit of a target. The internet has crystallized the process.
But whatever, its not my jam, but power to her. However, its foolish to think that you can become a insta-celebrity and have all nice things said about you by all 120k people looking at you.

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 06/09/2018 23:17

Something does feel a bit fishy. You don’t usually get that kind of exponential growth without something fuelling it. If it is real then well done her, hope she gets some decent professional support quick because she’ll need it.

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 06/09/2018 23:20

What the fuck is Zoflora anyway and when did it become a thing?

Rosegoldlilly · 06/09/2018 23:20

Tbh anyone of us could use that MN name and try pass ourselves off as mrshinchhome. She seems rather happy on Instagram and if she was so upset and distraught surely she would make a mention on it but she hasn't.
Also to the person talking about suicide can't remember who but trolls were being personal about her appearance and about her as an actual person. We are discussing an Instagram page and the type of posts it puts up. Not the person and her personal life.

How is she getting so many followers so quickly? How? cries - Well, if a thread''s been posted on here about her, people are going to check out, aren't they? Instant traffic as just been posted on an international parenting forum, and lots of potential interest as there's a lot of people out there probably thinking "ooh, a cleaning feed, you say? Could get a few tips there as I'm a slob in need of motivation who hates cleaning!"Grin kind of like myself
Don't think I'd like a massive IG following, couldn't be doing with the amount of hate followers!

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 07/09/2018 06:55

I don't think this thread is going to have inspired 100k people to follow her Hmm. There have been a load of threads about IG and even the big guns mentioned on it just keep ticking over gradually adding on maybe 1k a week. Some of the bigger bloggers are only reaching 100k now, and have grown their following over years. Who would have thought that cleaning would generate such a buzz? It's very impressive, she has obviously tapped into some cleaning zeitgeist that has completely passed me by Confused.

Pamdoo · 07/09/2018 07:21

If you have a public Instagram with over 100k followers, and can't take a bit of criticism, or don't want people discussing you then you probably shouldn't bother. People have asked some valid questions on here and she's refused to answer them, bit like zoflora gate when she replied in a snarky way that she didn't give a shit.

Rubberduckies · 07/09/2018 08:02

Just read the whole thread. I had no idea accounts like this exist!

I find it a bit odd that people (and mrshitch) have piled on to tell mnetters off for bullying, it didn't seem like bullying from I could see.

People said they didn't like how irresponsible she is by mixing cleaning products. They have said they don't like her flushing wipes. Others have said her house doesn't look lived in, and it's boring because it's so grey. Some have pointed out her followers have grown far quicker than is usual for Instagram and wondered if some with no profile pic are fake. It's been pointed out that it is disingenuous not to be honest about the affiliate links.

No one has made nasty personal remarks or talked about her home life or made any threats. I do not think that the comments made constitute bullying and were not particularly nasty. If you are going to put things on the internet in a bit and public way, people are going to talk about it. Not all those people will like it. That's fine. You can't tell people that they can't discuss things on the internet unless they say nice things. Mrshitch didn't have to come onto the thread and read it.

I think that actually the thread has some good points about how mrshitch could adapt and change to attract more followers. With the number of followers she has she could encourage real change - being more environmentally friendly, using products less damaging to health, and being honest about affiliate links.

DwangelaForever · 07/09/2018 08:23

Her house is too grey for my liking! But I love how tidy it is! I need some of her motivation, 35 weeks pregnant and can barely move to clean haha

gimmecake · 07/09/2018 08:33

I follow Mrs Hinch, and have to say this thread although some fair points have been made about the environment, has an air of bitchiness about it. Yeah course you can’t expect everyone to like you with 120k followers tbh I don’t think she does! I’ve seen her live broadcasts and she’s either a bafta winning actress or she’s genuinely shocked at how this whole thing has escalated so rapidly. She has only employed a PR company in the last couple of weeks because let’s face it, who could cope with this level of attention alone without some help? She’s not even had a Twitter, Facebook or YouTube account yet!!! They are helping her set those up, and why not? What would YOU do in her position? Either quit now and close the Instagram and let people forget you or milk it and make some pretty smart business decisions to make hay whilst the sun shines! I’m sure that she’s got expert advice on the whole affiliate thing too. Also - with the organic growth thing, once you start hitting the thousands the numbers begin to swell rapidly it IS POSSIBLE! But get a group of women together to discuss another’s success and you’ll find there are a few ready to tear her down for it - dress it how you like but it’s sad really. Hmm

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 07/09/2018 08:57

I would love to see her explain to her followers just how bad flushing wipes is for the environment.

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 07/09/2018 09:02

It never ceases to amaze me how influencers can get people who don’t know them to defend them so passionately to the point where they can’t tolerate any sort of critical analysis of what they do.

You've not cropped out her name so maybe report your post as she's not asked for her insta handle to be shared

OftenHangry · 07/09/2018 09:45

I already did! I am so sorry. It must have slide a bit when I was doing the screenshotShock Was hoping it will be gone fast

I was 😲 at the amount of products though I just say! I quite like Zoflora but one bottle will do me for two weeks or so.

gimmecake · 07/09/2018 10:12

I’ve never once seen Mrs H flush a wipe or say that it’s ok to do so???? Hmm please show us where she says that’s ok???

Unless you all use water and hemp cloth to change your babies nappies or wipe your kids sticky fingers in a cafe ... then the word “hypocrites” springs to mind...

Skyejuly · 07/09/2018 10:17

The world is meant to be waking up to the harm we are doing, yet this is making it worse. Its so so so bad and unneeded. Im not environmentally perfect but this is so awful :(

Nutkins24 · 07/09/2018 10:20

Social media never ceases to amaze me. I just can not believe people log on to Instagram to watch someone clean their sink! I’m might be able to understand ‘cleaning tips without expensive products’ or ‘eco cleaning’ just about but I’d still be a bit Confused

rainbowsandsmiles · 07/09/2018 10:20

Gimmecake - was just thinking the exact same thing! Been binge watching her stories, can see nowhere where she's done that or said it's OK? She's put them in the bin.
The amount of cleaning products going down the loo on one of the stories I watched made me a bit nervous though lol - I'd be too worried about getting high off the fumes Grin Grin
