Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

Oh, and her house is gorgeous. Wouldn't stay that colour for 5 minutes here though, what with kids getting their mitts all over it Grin

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 07/09/2018 10:23

I don’t use wipes for anything. They are terrible for the environment whether they go to landfill or dumped into our clogged up drains.

gimmecake · 07/09/2018 10:44

I agree wipes are terrible for the environment - I have had to have my drains unblocked at a high price after my mother stayed once (she liked those toilet fresh wipes Confused ) but the blame for their damage should be placed on the manufacturers to make them bio degradable and maybe someone like Mrs H can actually be a positive thing for the environment - with her new found fame I believe she is working on her own range of cleaning products so wouldn’t it be great if they were eco friendly?

Rhiannonian · 07/09/2018 10:53

I love her.
Wipes are bad we all know this and we can all decide for ourselves wether or not to use them.
She uses a huge aray of products and her page has catapulted this week which is likely to finally lead to sponsers.
Why not get paid for what you enjoy?
Just because you follow her and like her it doesnt take over your ability to be an adult and decide what to use.
She uses a large amount of eco friendly things too.
Making jabs about an "empty life" or how she doesnt have kids is just cruel. she has addressed on the Facebook group she would love to have the "issue" of kids to work around.
Influencer, instagrammer whatever still a person and its not hard to be a bit kinder to a woman working and cleaning and getting a bit popular.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 07/09/2018 10:59

It’s brilliant if she doesn’t flush wipes and if she can encourage her not to flush either that would even more brilliant.

As for hypocrisy, I don’t use wipes, mostly cotton and linen clothes with the occasional microfibre one I bought before realising they were harmless. The cleaning products shown in the photo would last me years.

I did use muslin and cotton nappies, with only the occasional disposable overnight.

So, no, I don’t think I preach something I’m not doing.

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 07/09/2018 11:00

I don’t have any issue with her getting paid at all. As long as it’s disclosed clearly, go for it.

She will need to recognise that as a now very popular influencer there is some responsibility around that and with cleaning, environmental concerns are going to be a big factor so she needs to be clear about what her position is on this.

There will always be people who find a life devoted to cleaning already clean houses a bit baffling, myself included. No need to express this in a mean way though, agreed.

Dbibb · 07/09/2018 11:09

I think instead of actually wasting all your time slagging off and abusing someone you don’t know wo in fact has a beautiful home and done some good you should concentrate on cleaning your own houses or being better people

Miserable lot

cleanmad · 07/09/2018 11:10

You lot are all so pathetic. Fancy taking time out of your day to create a post about another woman just living her life.

Saying to clean like she does you would have to neglect your children. How about you get your lazy arses off mumsnet then go and clean your house.

This person doesn’t deserve to be slandered all over this thread for cleaning her home and inspiring people. If you’ve actually followed her then you would see that it’s not a show home. It’s very much lived in. What she does isn’t to everyone’s taste but it doesn’t mean that you should create a whole thread to run her down. You’re supposed to be mothers. Get a bloody grip. I feel sorry for you if this is all you have to do with your sad lives.

Mrs Hinch. Keep doing what you’re doing. Everyone knows you’re not buying followers and not being fake. Also FYI. She made it clear that they’re affiliate links when she set them all up. Jokes on you idiots.

rainbowsandsmiles · 07/09/2018 11:14

Dbibb - no slagging off from me, agree there's no need for any of that.
I think her house is beautiful, and I'm now addicted to watching her stories. It made me actually go do the kitchen after watching, don't think my worktops been that clean for ages lol

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 07/09/2018 11:15

Great user name 👌🏼

rainbowsandsmiles · 07/09/2018 11:16

As for those saying fake followers - highly doubt it as that looks like authentic engagement to me. Lots of mums following, all doing the hashtag, and as someone upthread said being talked about on FB type groups as well as on here.
Fantastic, looks like she's gone viral to me, hats off to her.

rainbowsandsmiles · 07/09/2018 11:21

Electric toothbrush to shift off stubborn bits? Ok, that's genius. I love her Grin

Keletubbie · 07/09/2018 11:36

She does use far too many chemicals. And wipes. And repeatedly sprays flammable liquids all over her house. Which is far too grey for my liking...

But her dog is really cute.

Keletubbie · 07/09/2018 11:38

Oh, and she should be declaring her affiliate links.

cleanmad · 07/09/2018 11:42

Keletubbie she has declared her affiliate links. And she prays lenor over her house... is that a flammable liquid because there’s thousands using it on their kids clothes...

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 07/09/2018 11:47

Even the amazon ones?

Skyejuly · 07/09/2018 11:51

I have no idea what the interest is though? A sink and a sprayed rug? Maybe I am missing something?

rainbowsandsmiles · 07/09/2018 11:57

Skye so don't watch then? People like different things, I don't get people watching football, but each to their own.

woodhill · 07/09/2018 11:57

I think a lot of chemicals is bad news for the environment and your health as you ingest them.

I think not having too much stuff is a good idea.

Haven't seen Mrs Hinch though

rainbowsandsmiles · 07/09/2018 12:04

Ha, think she names her cleaning equipment! "Good boy, Stuart!" Grin If I've got that right. Love it. Although what the heck is a minkeh?!
Some kind of cleaning sponge, I presume.

Rhiannonian · 07/09/2018 12:38

I do love how some cannot comprehend that people just want to follow her.
She was posted in group after group as women discovered her page.
Up till now she wasnt affiliated with companies but big growth gets you noticed.
Instagram algorithm is the more your seen the more youll be seen sowith her hashtags being used left eight and centre the groetg is no suprise..
You can see in her stories the people sharing and check the profiles for authenticity if youre that sad to care.

Alot of people like clean. Alot of people oike new ideas with cleaning and alot of people like a funny woman.
Its not so unbelivable.

rainbowsandsmiles · 07/09/2018 12:45

Exactly, Rhian, if she's being mentioned everywhere it'll get her noticed.
She seems lovely and funny with it.

Pat6687 · 07/09/2018 12:53

Some salty bitches in here! Really no need. I’d like to think these are just random people but I have a strong feeling a few other cleaning / organising pages are on a mission and a jealous one at that.

Be kind to animals, be kind to the environment, how about be kind to humans? Jealousy is a nasty trait.

Sophie’s clearly a lovely down to earth respected young lady and being abused and accused of buying followers screams jealousy. Why else do you care?
Have you done your tax returns? None of my business. Has Sophie got a sponsorship deal? None of your business. When something becomes your business I’m sure you will know about it.
It’s not always about the look of the posts it’s actually the person behind the page that people love and want to follow. Personality is something you can’t buy.

And she’s only been viral for the last Month so maybe she hasn’t had time between the thousands of messages to actually read up on how to become an influencer because she naturally became one rather than trying. It’s all in the personality Grin

GoonerBabeK · 07/09/2018 13:12

Over opinionated bullies tbh! Who exactly is she hurting? Sounds like jealousy that you did not in fact think of something like this yourself and that’s she’s doing so well just being herself. She has a beautiful home which she and her partner worked hard to get and now preserve. Don’t like it jog on, don’t be a keyboard worrier and slate her just because you can. End of
