Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

Just seen her on TM she seems a lovely lady, but the lenor did not get those marks off the door!

Mytype · 17/09/2018 12:08

So is your personality

WhatsGoingOnEh · 17/09/2018 12:14

?!

Mytype · 17/09/2018 12:15

Sorry was mistake!

SurfnTerfFantasticmissfoxy · 17/09/2018 12:20

Creasing at 'overly floral flash mob' 🤣

I haven't read the whole thread but I do enjoy watching her cleaning videos - they're strangely soothing.

That said I could never and would never clean like that personally. My house is a rambling great bloody thing in the country - cleaning things to the extent she does (ie cleaning things 3 times using 3 different products when it wasn't dirty in the first place) would just not be possible or I'd be at it all day every day.

All the 'cleaning gurus' I've seen have got small, very contemporary houses with lots of white and gray and baby pink, artificial flowers and glossy kitchens - I think that's the style that lends itself to constant cleaning and shining - not my personal taste but they obviously take a lot of pride in their homes.

She does inspire me to be a bit less lazy about giving things a good scrub though and a lot of the products she uses are good. I don't give a shit if she is or isn't being paid, I tend to assume that if someone has a large insta following and posts on a daily basis then they are getting something out of it.

BuntyII · 17/09/2018 14:40

What I like about The Organised Mum is that the group as a whole does seem fairly environmentally conscious and aware of the dangers of mixing zoflora with bleach or putting it in your washing machine. Quite a lot of Team TOMM members champion the use of vinegar and bicarb for cleaning for example.

squiz81 · 17/09/2018 14:51

. I think it’s actually sad and pathetic how you people come on here and complain about someone cleaning! You lot are all jealous. All the best!

Ah a classic @mytype if someone dares to make a criticism they are clearly jealous Hmm I'm really not. I do not seek fame and am very happy with my home. I also have no I'll feelings towards her, she seems very likeable. My issue was people are copying this unenvironmentally friendly approach to cleaning and that makes me sad. Yes we could all do more to help the environment, which is why I like to see eco friendly choices promoted! Like it or not, this planet has a huge plastic problem. Maybe do some research into how bad things are and you will feel the same.

squiz81 · 17/09/2018 14:53

*ill not I'll !!!

Also I have no issue with people warning from IG. I imagine a lot of work and stress is involved in managing a popular account.

Yes, I have noticed that too.

PaddysMarket · 17/09/2018 15:54

I was having a nosey at other cleaning IG accounts, I wonder if this person is kicking herself about not promoting "Minky" more since they have all sold out everywhere and I'm sure MrsHinch will get a sponsorship deal with the company soon.

She just makes me smile, and she makes me CLEAN! Which I've never experienced wanting to do before!

Same Grin

ImNotReallyAWaitress · 17/09/2018 16:02

I get that people like her and find cleaning fun after discovering Mrs Hinch.

What I don’t get is the cult level obsessiveness over having 20 bottles of zoflora and needing to have a sponge so badly people are paying £20 - £30 for 1 minky sponge 🤷‍♀️

ElspethFlashman · 17/09/2018 16:11

Well people who buy over the odds for hyped products are generally kinda stupid. I mean, it's a sponge thing. A sponge thing is a sponge thing. Confused

In fairness to Mrs H, I saw a comment from her to someone saying basically "save your money babes, it'll be back in stock at the normal price soon".

More fool the eejit who can't wait two weeks to buy a bloody sponge thing at RRP.

mrsoutnumbered · 17/09/2018 16:18

@Aspenfrost yes. Grey. Lots and lots of grey.

I used to follow a lot of cleaning accounts on insta but to be honest, I got bored of watching people clean their kitchen sinks.

I still follow a couple that I like - Lynsey Queen Of Clean and The Organised Mum. I like their personalities, have really warmed to them!

GulagMilkMonitor · 17/09/2018 17:43

but you're not the plastic police telling people to change their account and their usp just because it's not sitting comfortably with you.

That wasn’t me.

blackvelvetband · 17/09/2018 18:10

I'm really warming to her now!

GulagMilkMonitor · 17/09/2018 18:17

Who cares if she is getting paid or not disclosing if she is! Who really actually cares?

The ASA?

EyUpOurKid · 17/09/2018 20:52

I find myself warming to her. But I have a just bought a grey house and I like cleaning and zoflora.

I completely understand why she's gained a following so quickly as she comes across as glamorous, down to earth and friendly, her home is gleaming, it's aspirational to a lot of people.

The need to be recognised by her for buying loads of products I can't get on board with, but again, I can understand the mindset, she's accessible to everyone who wants to be like her, part of a club etc.

Sugarformyhoney · 17/09/2018 22:00

I think her house is awful- it looks like she’s tipped B&M bargains into it.
Laughing at all the hun army leaping to her defender too 🤭

rainbowsandsmiles · 17/09/2018 22:01

Must admit though, the sheer amount of zoflora some are hoarding has me Shock Grin
Just whyyyy do you need that many lol?! Step awaaay, you've got enough. Grin

rainbowsandsmiles · 17/09/2018 22:04

I think her house is awful- it looks like she’s tipped B&M bargains into it.

Her house is gorgeous, not exactly sure what they sell in your local B and M but it must be high end stuff (love B and M by the way, just not exactly sure how you come to the conclusion she's "tipped Band M bargains into it!"
Confused

Sugarformyhoney · 17/09/2018 22:17

I don’t actually frequent B&M that often but the sparkly silver light switches, grey everywhere and hideous wall stickers reminded me of it.. they’re hardly ‘high end’ 😂😂 Obviously furnishings are personal taste so my awful is your ‘gorgeous’. Each to their own. I’m not into watching her videos at all, really glad she hasn’t got children with all of those chemicals floating about.

gimmecake · 17/09/2018 23:43

Sugarformyhoney
What a snooty comment (re B&M)

That’s quite a nasty thing to say about her btw, there’s no need to say you are glad she hasn’t got children. Angry

Littlechocola · 18/09/2018 00:03

Gimme, would you be happy for a child to be around so many chemicals?
