I'm sure there's plenty of eco friendly cleaning accounts out there, it's kind of bizarre watching one not to your taste that makes you want to weep.
Don’t we have a responsibility to discuss the over use of plastics?
You do know that you don't have to rush out and buy everything just because she does, right?
Of course no one has to rush out and buy anything. However she is clearly very influential, shops are selling out of her recommendations, she seems to now be in contact or working with brands she likes (good for her) but that is for a reason. These brands don’t throw products and advertising around to people who give them no return.
She obviously, for some reason, evokes a feeling that sends thousands of women rushing to the shops to part with money for near little plastic bottles of smelly stuff.
That’s why the brands are excited by her.
As an abstract, removed from Mrs Hinch, that’s worth talking about. It’s worth understanding how this works, what the responsibilities of the influencers are and also when they need to take stock and think about how they are shaping their sphere of influence for the good or the bad. When do they become more than “just a little IG account, so please don’t have an opinion about me that I don’t like” or a business? It’s hard when people are trading/doing business based on their personality.
I think it’s a very interesting topic and Mrs Hinch is a great case study, especially when it comes to the elements of her army who are very quick to shout “bullies” if someone doesn’t like grey or some much nastier stuff I’ve seen on that Facebook page, some of which warrants a call to the police.
