Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

Our house has a Scandinavian vibe

Now if I was like you I'd say something like- what's with that? Sounds shit and soulless. Bet it looks like something out of an Ikea catalogue.
But I won't. Grin

@Pamdoo LOL

OkMaybeNot · 13/09/2018 21:47

I'm gong to be controversial here, and say beef and tomato.

I know, I know. But it's a classic and I make it with less-than-directed water so it tastes like liquid salt.

All the best x

Pinkyponkcustard · 13/09/2018 21:56

Ooh I’ve never made a pot noodle up with not enough water - Must try that!
As for “putting my kitchen sink to bed at night” won’t be trying that any time soon.

rainbowsandsmiles · 13/09/2018 22:12

There's something kind of nice about watching her put her sink to bed on a night.
Love the way the dog has its own bedroom, bed and bedside table too Grin

WellThisIsShit · 13/09/2018 22:15

I’d like the kind of life where I was able to ‘put my sink to bed each night’, but sadly it’s not to be.

I’d settle for watching other people doing it though :)

But, and this is embarrassing... I can’t work out the Instagram app! How can I get to the films amongst the endless scrolling of photos posted by someone? So, I can click on this MrsHinch person but then I can’t seem to get further than that... ignoramois that I am?!

OkMaybeNot · 13/09/2018 22:15

The only way you wouldn't love that is if you're a soulless doggy-hating demon.

Are you on your phone? If so, that's the best way to watch them. If you look at the little circles at the top of the page, those are the stories - just click on one and they'll play.
Hope that makes sense!
At the top of your feed as well everyone who you follow will have their stories in little circles as well that you can watch.

OftenHangry · 13/09/2018 22:32

How do these spray mops work? Isn't it just smudging the dirt all ove the place? Normal mop you rinse and sqeeze but not this one. I am bit confused.
It's like if you were wiping dust, you do rinse the cloth even if you are using cleaning spray. Isn't this the same?
Genuinely curious. Anyone has it?

SunshineP · 13/09/2018 22:46

Love her. Love that she is one of the few normal insta people and not some rich muppet. Instagram is full of rich middle class types pretending to be normal. She has some great tips.

Is Ikea the sum total of your knowledge of the Scandi look? Okaaaay.

rainbowsandsmiles · 14/09/2018 00:21

Of course not, I was just trying to channel up inner bitch which seems the way it goes about for decor on here in your posts.
Anyway, I've just realised I haven't watched Mrs H put her sink to bed yet, missed her last night. Grin
Will have to check in before I go to bed myself lol

rainbowsandsmiles · 14/09/2018 00:26

"@SunshineP I think that's her appeal - she comes across as someone down to earth, funny, like she could be your mate. It's kind of How Clean Is Your House (without the dirt lol) meets TOWIE.
She seems lovely. Like she's your mate. Which is probably why she's got such a huge following, she's relatable.
She's either relatable or aspirational - for me, it's the latter. As in I'm the least likely person to say "babe" or glam up, but I can glimpse and peek into another world Grin

I did also wonder this!

Pinkyponkcustard · 14/09/2018 06:26

Pamdoo is it one of the ones with the foam/fabric strip on the end? I think you’re supposed to take it off and wash it in the machine after each clean

Pamdoo · 14/09/2018 06:38

So it's like using a cloth and spray? Which you would rinse the dirt off before wiping the next bit, but this you can't? So you just push the dirt round, unless your floor is already immaculate?

Pinkyponkcustard · 14/09/2018 06:47

Yes that’s true Pamdoo we’ve got a steam cleaner with a similar attachment, if the floor is bad I find myself mopping it first

stressedcatt · 14/09/2018 06:56

Completely off the point but what is this called? I'd like to buy something similar

A radiator cover

I don’t like the “Scandi look” either. Very cold and uninviting with all that wood and whitewash. No character. Even with the odd faux fur rug thrown in and a few accents of pastel to lift all the monochrome - it all still looks like an ikea catalogue on speed. As for those fake deer heads.. oh dear! 😂🤣

I do think that a home reflects the owners personality though don’t you? 🤔😉

OftenHangry · 14/09/2018 08:18

@Pinkyponkcustard and @Pamdoo
They are really the cool thing now, but it just can't work unless you always do just a little area and than wash itHmm Or maybe we are missing the trick.

WhatsthematteryouHEY · 14/09/2018 08:19

Ahh, she comes across really really well in this article Smile

Pamdoo · 14/09/2018 08:22

@oftenhangry so for they're for cleaning clean things? Grin

I have a steamer but also mop first as not convinced pushing a dirty cloth round no matter how much steam will clean it
